We danced our first dance at our wedding to it, and every morning when I woke I would look over at her and know she was my angel. I lost her 3 years ago Christmas Eve to breast cancer, I know what it’s like to have an angel I was blessed with her for 10 years and now she is my angle in heaven, she is with me always. There are times I wake in the mornings and still see my angel of the morning next to me. I love you Mary Elizabeth always you are in my heart always.

This is such a heart-felt song. When my wife and I first started dating, I told her that I like to call my girl by a term of endearment, like "sweetheart", "baby", etc. When I said "Angel", she said "Yes, that's what I want you to call me". And I did. Up until the day she died of breast cancer at the age of 28. I watched her take her last breath and held her hand as I cried now knowing that she joined the Angels in Heaven, waiting for me to be with her again. I was out of the house when she started dying. I was running some errands but her mother and sister were with her. No one called me to let me know her life was ending. I got home just in time to see her take her last few breaths. I feel like she was holding on until I got to her bedside before letting go. My advice to everyone, whether it's your husband or wife, is to cherish your Angel every morning before it's too late.

I lost my angel, Susan in 1983. We were only together for two years and I thought I would never get over losing her. I might have gotten used to her not being around, but I never did totally get over it. I guess none of us truly ever do. Life goes on. I’m not a very religious man, but I do hope to meet her again.

I watched/listened to her in High School in the 1970s, but then she faded... and I forgot how effing amazingly beautiful and talented she is.
I just watched a recent video of one of her performances, and it makes me regret not pursuing her for the past 40 years... not as a stalker... but maybe, at some point, maybe she could have smiled at me.

This is my grandma favorite song she’s now in hospice care, I don’t know how life is going to be without that woman in my life. She’s everything to me.
