7:53 The reason why nobody seems to be doing it is because it would probably be borderline impossible to waterproof your phone if it had the pop-up camera.
I so miss LG. Their absence from the smartphone market has left a hole I don't think will ever be filled. Such a great company willing to trying unique & endearing devices. Still using the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 as my daily driver. Wouldn't call this device a failure by any stretch. Multitasking is still second to none! Two big, wide glass screens w/ digitizers. The digital pen attaches & charges w/ the charging case. Use a Gcam port for the triple camera setup, and the photos are extremely solid. Absolutely no other device comes close to the total package. Don't know what I'm going to use after support ends.
I bought the LG Wing 3 times. Every time I sold it, then missed it, the repurchased it again. My biggest peeve was the weight of the darn thing. That thing could give you a concussion if you fell asleep holding it up above your head. ❤
Although not mentioned in the vid, the Wing is MIL-STD-810G rated, so it can withstand drops from 1.3 m. Loved LG for making their phones drop resistant! Why isn't this a requirement for all candy bar phones now? LG phones were SO good.
Android 13 killed face detection. Before the popup camera popped out read your face and unlocked. If you have a pre Android 13 Wing it will work. As for fingerprint reader. It worked better as my Pixel 6 :P I scanned my thumbs two times so have 4 fps registered. Works like it should
I love LG and have LG hbs730 Bluetooth headphones on right now. The LGv60 is a legend phone but compare it to a phone like One Plus 12R that goes for below $400 with 16/256 and it is time to move on. I still have my peppy KG rebel with broken screen stashed in my cupboard and it still fires right up..snapdragon chip! Going to miss LG and still tempted to get a Lgv60.
I have MS Duo and V60 with additional screen, it's amazing phones. BUT, it's storen in Russia (in a place protected from thieves), and I'm in Argentina (in a place protected from Putin).I hope to be able to come back someday and send out a few models of the rare junk I've accumulated over five years for review.
I watched both episodes and just had to comment to ask if you know about the Essential Phone 1, geniunely one of the most beatiful phones ever, sadly the company went defunct but man they had loads of potential
Great video and I remember being highly tempted by this phone the the chocolate when they came out. The OG surface can have windows loaded on it. Crazy to think.
I still have my LG G5 with the Cam Plus and HiFi Dac accessory today. I also have the LG G8X and my favorite LG Wing. I love LG phones. I will keep it as a collector's item.
Especially when you can buy a 2024 phone with all updates etc like the One Plus 12r 16/256 for under $400 right now that blows away older and most newer phones. Technology is getting better all the time and a phone older than two years or so is getting to be out of date to be honest. (I know that is upsetting but it is true so having 5-7 years of updates is meaningless to me).
Super hard to get but Jolla and their first phone running SailfishOS with some accessories so called "other halfs". Very cool concept and very nice phone for the time. Used SailfishOS phones for years.
Commenting from a Wing: As a Winger for 2 years, the phone is not a failure, it's just not for everybody.
LG Flex and the Google Nexus line. I loved my old Nexus 6 from 2014. I also had the Flex and Flex2.

true
They sad the same thing for open USB ports on the bottom not closed with a flap a few years ago

Totally agree

It has drop resistance, that must have hurt.

I would love to see the Huawei mate 20 x as there just isn't anything equivalent now or since.
LG V60 (or LG Velvet) with the dual screen case, for an upcoming episode.

Something extreemly important to note is that this phone is only compatable with AT&T, T Mobile, and Verizon. Any other carrier likely will not work.
Good view what unique phone

Has anyone bought one from Ali Express for £180?

Huawei mate 40pro 2020 model and have stereo speaker not foldable but way ahead for this year.
I, obviously, would never buy this phone but how fun must it be to flip this thing out in public and see people's looks. 😂
LG Flex with its curves and 'self healing back' or one of the nokia windows phones.
I'm not buying a phone from a defunct phone manufacturer.
Even for just a couple hundred bucks?

@@Super-c00n No. It won't get updates anymore, that matters to me. Plus what happens with the warranty or if the phone breaks?
Nobody said you had to
