In 1996, she said a man attacked her and fatally stabbed her two sons in their home but police believed that she was responsible. More than two decades later, she still maintains her innocence.

To think those poor boys would've been almost 30 today.
:'(
Why she killed them for insurance policy"?
@@macdeep8523 nope. Or at least not only for that reason. She killed them to get rid of them so she can live her life fully again
@@mehditai But why only kill 2 of your 3 sons? Idk if she did it but she had horrible injuries. I don't see how she could have done all that to herself. She would've had to stab a huge knife in her right arm hard enough to go through the bone, using her left hand. Then cut her own throat coming within 4 mm of her jugular vein.
@Carolyn Smith If she did it she had to stab a huge knife in her right arm hard enough to go through the bone. Then cut her own throat coming within 4 mm of her jugular vein. She came really close to dying. But a stranger doing it doesn't make sense. I wish I knew what really happened but we probably never will.
She is as innocent as OJ
0:33 To investigators "I woke up by being stabbed" to interviewer "I woke up to my kid pushing on me"
the knife thing makes ZERO sense. how does the intruder with NO weapon of their own pull up to your house and cut a screen? with YOUR knife? pls explain to me how tf this “man” cut the screen if he pulled up with no weapon
Real intruders would bring whatever tools and weapons they have on them prior to entry. If they were to enter through a window 🪟, normally they would just remove the screen structure itself
Not always, Julie Rae harper....
Thanks for the picture of a window, I didn't know what one looked like
I am a former DR supporter and have been very intrigued by this case. However, after much study of the evidence I've changed my mind. Here is all the evidence that convicted DR:
- Darlie walked around the house during the 911 call, contradicting her story.
- A fiber rod from the window screen was found on the bread knife.
- The bread knife was never contaminated, as supporters claim (read the transcript).
- After analyzing the window screen, they found it was cut open from the outside.
- The screen could easily be removed; there was no need to cut it open.
- The bread knife was put back in the knife block.
- A different knife from the knife block was then used as the murder weapon.
- No traces of an intruder entering or exiting through the window were found.
- No fingerprints, DNA, hair, footprints, fibers, blood, etc. from an intruder were found.
- Their dog was very protective but never woke up, contradicting Darlie’s claims of a violent attack.
- The 18-minute duration motion light in the backyard was off, contradicting Darlie’s timeline.
- The backyard gate was damaged, hard to open, yet properly closed, contradicting Darlie’s story.
- Like the dog, light-sleeping Darlie never woke up when her boys were stabbed.
- Darlie first claimed the sound of broken glass woke her up, then changed her story.
- Darlie then claimed that Damon woke her up by touching her and saying, “Mommy, Mommy!”
- When the evidence didn’t match her second waking-up story, she claimed she fought the intruder.
- Darlie’s bloody footprints and blood drops were found underneath the broken glass, indicating she staged it.
- The smudged fingerprint supporters claim came from an intruder contained female DNA.
- The rack had a safety mechanism preventing glasses from accidentally falling out.
- No marks on the floor from the dropped knife were found, contradicting Darlie’s story.
- Drops of her blood were found on the overturned vacuum.
- Darlie’s bloody handprint was found on the handle of the vacuum, indicating she staged it.
- Bloody roll marks from the vacuum were found, indicating she moved the vacuum around.
- The sink was cleaned, yet Darlie’s blood was found in the sink and on the floor in front of it.
- Darlie’s blood was found on the cabinet door where cleaning supplies were stored.
- A single footprint belonging to Darlie was found “leaving” the sink, contradicting her towel story.
- No wet towels were found.
- Despite fighting the intruder, nothing was damaged.
- It took less than 50 seconds to place the sock next to the trash can, providing plenty of time to stage the scene.
- No foreign DNA was found on the sock, but Darlie’s was inside which is very damaging to the intruder story.
- The bloodhound found no scent traces beyond the sock, indicating Darlie put it there.
- The boys’ cast-off blood droplets were found on the back of Darlie’s shirt when she stabbed them.
- A bloody knife imprint was found on the floor near Devon’s body; the blood was Darlie’s.
- A body knife imprint was found on the back of her shirt, indicating she was hiding it when checking if the boys were dead.
- While the boys were brutally stabbed, her neck wound was superficial.
- Darlie is not medically trained and doesn’t know where the carotid artery is located in the neck.
- The necklace was not surgically removed, as supporters claim; it fell off during surgery.
- No defense wounds were found on Darlie’s hands, only a superficial cut from paper on her fingers.
- According to hospital staff, forearm bruises occurred after she left the hospital, indicating they were self-inflicted.
- Nothing was stolen.
- The silly string tape.
- The teddy bear incident (ruclips.net/video/RPEmGxFKRNA/видео.html).
- Darlie changed her story seven times.
- Darlie remembered the attack clearly, but during the trial she claimed to have suffered from "amnesia".

Yeah but most parents wake up to the mere sound of their children CRYING thru the night. And he didn’t hear not one scream?
He should be in jail too.
Lisa Joy what does her killing her sons have to do with him I’m confused.a lot of women want the marriage but they don’t want to be mother and have to look after kids.some women grow to live there kids and some end up killing or abandoning the kids so .She can cry all those crocodile tears in her cell
s'busisiwe lin shaba But if he was involved, why hasn’t she tatted on him?
Of course because it's ALWAYS the father's fault right. Give me a fucking break
That's what I was wondering too. Im not a parent but one night my best friend's baby was sick so I stayed with them. Despite his mother being on the other side of the bed, I still woke up every single time he made the littlest sound. Im one of those people who dread waking up in the middle of the night to even pee but that night I realized when you have a little baby lying next to you your mind stays alert even in your sleep.
This woman claims she slept through both of her boys getting stabbed right in front of her and the husband claims he heard nothing. That is total bullshit. I strongly feel like he was also involved. And that probably explains the sock couple of doors down with no blood trail.
Watch the forensic files video on this case, when the husband walked into the room where his sons were just stabbed to death the first thing out of his mouth was how beautiful his wife is and how she has 38 double Ds and thats probably what the intruder came for. Not once did he ask about or was distraught over his boys.
Beyond guilty. Her story and behavior make zero sense
This is very crazy but I strongly believe the husband knows much more than he is saying and also the police did not enough.
they were in a rush to convict darlie its not fair to her wish she wouldve had a better lawyer having a party at graveside with balloons does not make her a murderer thats hard to watch but not proof that she killed her sons

Why didn’t Darlie Routier release the results of the Private polygraph test she
took ?
Darlie admitted to being such a light sleeper that she couldn't sleep next to her restless baby, but she she didn't hear an intruder break in and stab to death her two boys sleeping right next to her. !!!!!!!!!! This apparently was a violent intrusion and crazed double murder, no robbery, no motive. No other cases of similar violent intrusion reported in the area, before or after the Routier case. The boys wounds were so frenzied and so deep yet her wounds were precise and superficial. The extension bruising to her arms easily explained if the boys used their feet to kick and fend off the attack. The attacker surely would have used the knife to repel her not their hands. Given all this evidence and Darlies ever changing recollections of the event, it is no surprise the jury came to their decision.
That's true as God 👐
Well, neither did her husband. He slept through it too. As has been pointed out numerous times in the comments, the boys wouldn't have been able to scream. Because they both were stabbed through their lungs. Darlie was an adult and could defend herself.
An intruder could not stab to death two at once without there being a struggle. No one could sleep through that! At what point could Damon have pressed on her shoulder? Before the attack? No because he awakened her. She did it.
Omg.. I know your comment is 2 years old but I had to reply. This case has baffled me for ages. I was kind of on the fence but your comment makes so much sense. You are so right ! Thanks for putting an end to my indecisiveness!!
Of course she did it, it flies beyond logic that an intruder comes into a home to murder two kids...common sense would dictate if he is there to kill, he would take out the biggest threat first, and that would be mom..
What did he know she was a sound sleeper and would sleep through it all, that is such a big risk. No she did it.
You know there are only so many of these perplexing who done it, in my dad' time it was the Fugitive, the one arm man killer...in my life time this one and jean bonet Ramsey captures the imagination.
It's just hard to think she did it, especially when you listen to her and her husband...but common sense goes against everything she says..you are absolutely right, enough is not talked about by the prosecution as to when did Damon pushed on her shoulder...she never said how he appeared. But if you look at the totality of it all she did it.
I know every generations has there who done it. This one and Jean Benet Ramsey will always be something to discuss.
@@loubeelou2362 I was on the fence for years too however if Darlie got up got cut the screen, wet back got a knife and sock and covered Devins mouth and he fought back Damon would have heard that and screamed and ran alerting Darin and the dog upstairs. There could have even been three guysand another knife and sock but just never recovered?!
Someone needs to really be looking at the husband. I have followed this for yrs. And I really think it was for ins purpose.
Me too
Those have always been my thoughts on this case...
He hired people to rob his home for insurance purposes prior to this incident. Yet he's walking a free man.
Yes husband they framed her
I think that’s unlikely. There was no insurance policy on the children - that would be a HUGE red flag. And Darlie said it was a stranger. If she’s telling the truth - then it wasn’t her husband. And if she’s lying then she and her husband must have murdered the children together. Why would Darlie agree to a murder scenario that put her at such huge risk - of being accused of being the killer and having to be severely maimed in the process - and yet the husband faces no risk because he was asleep in bed when it all happened? It defies sense. I see no logical reason to believe the husband was involved.
1. Blood splatter on the back of her shirt is consistent with her stabbing the boys, raising a knife up and down, and blood dripping onto her back.
2. Luminol testing showed "someone" rinsed off blood that was in the sink. The blood was consistent with her slicing her throat over the sink.
3. The knives including the one used to cut a screen came from inside the house.
4. The dogs didn't bark at all that night.
5. Darlie was inconsistent with her story of events. In one account, she woke up to the intruder attacking her. In another, one of her sons woke her up, nudging her. I find it impossible to believe that she didn't hear someone viciously stabbing her kids a few feet away in the same room when she is supposedly a light sleeper.
I can't believe she is not dead jet! !! Why they did not end that monster jet? Why is she on tv???
@@lukrelukreciacia If she was a man she would've been put to death many years ago. I genuinely believe the fact she was a young, white attractive mother is why she's still alive.
Especially since she said the sound of her baby moving in the crib would wake her up but she can't hear BOTH of her babies being viciously stabbed.
Most of the investigation is judgement on how "a mother would feel/act". Not everyone responds to greif the same way.
i totally agree. when my grandma died of cancer, my dad did not shed a tear. but i could see that he was hurt inside. but for those people who dont really know my dad, they could have thought he wasn't heartbroken.

My daughter died 2 weeks before her 18th birthday and we still threw her a birthday party. Doesn't mean we didn't love her. We just wanted to celebrate her life. Not everybody grieves the same. Throwing your dead kid a birthday party doesn't make you a bad parent. Smh

Well I don't understand why a stranger would go into their house in the middle of the night.Murder the 2 boys then run off again wtf why.Without harming the parents or doing a robbery even
These are the facts
1. Unusual concern about fingerprints on the knife as her boys lay dying.
2. No blood or scuff marks on the backyard fence or gate. The gate was closed when police arrived, even though it was difficult to open and close.
3. Enough blood on the door leading to the garage that it dripped down the door, but no blood on or around the exit window in the garage.
4. Screen debris on the bread knife from the Routier’s kitchen.
5. No evidence whatsoever of a knife being dropped on the utility room floor.
6. The bloody knife imprint on the carpet near Devon and the heavy trail indicating a fresh supply of Darlie’s blood being fed to it.
7. The wine glass that somehow was knocked to the floor, despite testimony that it couldn’t have happened with a bump, jostle, or tip of the wine rack.
8. No cuts on Darlie’s feet, despite her claim of running through the kitchen numerous times, and at least twice in the dark.
9. The murder weapon was a knife from her own home.
10. Very minor displacement of furniture in the family room, indicative of a clumsy attempt to stage the crime scene.
11. Her claim of having placed a towel on Damon’s back is directly contradicted by the first responders.
12. Darlie’s conflicting stories to various police officers, hospital employees, friends, and family members about what happened that night.
13. Although Darlie later claimed to have no memory of the attack and only a vague memory of the intruder leaving, she wrote people from jail while awaiting trial claiming, “I know who did it…I saw him!”
14. Darlie’s claim that five-year-old Damon, after being stabbed in the liver and lungs, was walking and speaking to her for some time after the intruder left.
15. Blood being washed and wiped away in and around the sink area.
16. No blood on the section of the couch where Darlie said her head was resting.
17. No cast-off blood in the family room or kitchen; just smudges or round drops indicating slow movement through the area.
18. Bruises on right arm which didn’t show up until more than 4 days after the murders. No blunt-trauma bruises anywhere else on her face or body.
19. Darlie clearly saying on the 911 call that “I was fighting!” and then changing it to “I was frightening” at trial. (This switcheroo coincided with her traumatic amnesia claim).
20. The boys’ cast-off blood on the shoulder and back of her nightshirt.
21. Darlie’s superficial wounds were drastically different from her sons’ deep, penetrating stab wounds.
22. The overturned vacuum cleaner in the kitchen, with broken glass and Darlie’s bloody footprints underneath.
23. Four cuts in Darlie’s nightshirt with no corresponding injuries.
24. Darin’s accounts being constantly expanded to explain his wife’s suspicious and contradictory statements.
25. Darlie’s suicide note written a month prior to the murders.
26. Financial problems so severe that their house was on the verge of foreclosure, and Darin’s application for a $5,000 vacation loan was turned down the day before the murders.
27. The complete lack of any evidence that someone else was in that house during the time of the murders.
28. The whole idea of a stranger walking through the pitch-black garage without bloodying anything, tripping over anything, disturbing the windowsill dust, or transferring blood inside and outside the garage.
29. Animal bowls outside, a large animal cage partly blocking the garage window - all strong deterrents for an intruder.
30. A vicious cat who, when approached, would hiss and flail around in his cage just a few feet from the couch.
31. Expensive jewelry and Darlie’s purse, in plain sight on the kitchen counter, were not taken.
32. The idea of an intruder stabbing two little boys to death for absolutely no reason, and leaving the adult who can identify him alive and armed with a knife.
I don't know. The husband is dodgy as hell and possessive and clearly incapable of bringing money into the home. Something about him is just "off" for me.

It is too smudged. The DNA came back, is female & that's the best that can be done. Her family & her lawyer are keeping that quiet.
@@bethryan9077 Interesting, thanks
Don't believe Richard Smith, he's lying his head off. The running of the print was granted and then immediately put on abeyance so the Stay on the DNA testing could be lifted. No one on the defense ever tells the truth.
Darley saying her son was pushing on her shoulder saying mommy that's what gets me suspicious that could never have happened with all his 6 injuries stabbing in his back in his lungs and liver there's no way he could have gotten up and said that he was barely bubbleging On the floor
she also supposedly said "i need you to be strong" - what parent would take the time to say inspirational bullshit instead of trying physically to save their childs life...!?!
A superficial cut to the neck at an angle from left to right downwards. Never seen before. The only possible suspect is her own right arm.
One of the knives from the kitchen had the exact fibers on it that matched the screen. An intruder would have to break in...get the knife..then go back out and cut the screen and put the knife back ..yeah not too likely that happened. So it was either one of the parents or both of them.
just darlie
She did it poor darin and other boy she was having post partum and was suicidal thoughts weeks before ..she set it up and killed those babies ..i used to be un sure until i watched unsolved nomore he broke it down and i said omg everything he said convinced me just like texas knew she done it im saying shes where she belongs ..

@@davidgravey1998 The fingerprint brush bristles were 25% larger than the screen fiberglass rods. This was brought up at trial and the theory debunked completely.
Why would the intruder not target the adults first since they can fight back ! It makes absolutely no sense than an intruder did it.
I absolutely 💯 agree, never in history and now has any intruder broke in just to kill babies, she's God damm evil 😈 she's the devil. She reminiscences pretending to be innocent, she stabbed herself. @@thirdeyeladythe media was very adamant on telling the public over and over again how her wounds were superficial. I just watched a documentary explaining how serious her injuries really were. To the extent she was in the ICU. Then the media lied and said she was just in ICU because it was more private. She had lost most of her blood, and was pretty close to death. There was nothing superficial about her wounds. I will never trust the media again after this as I have been cursing an innocent woman for the last 27 years

Darlie's wounds don't look very superficial to me.
Actually her neck wounds match the perfect description of self inflicted cut throat: (this is from a study will link at the bottom)
The suicidal cut throat wound is similar to the homicidal cut throat from behind. The wound usually begins higher on the neck on the side opposite to where it terminates [6]. Since the deceased was a right handed person, the suicide cut throat should typically start from upper third of the left side of the neck and be ended at a point lower than the origin on the right side as was found in this case.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4843282/#!po=2.38095
Here are criteria to determine whether a throat cut is self inflicted or not:
a) several (not multiple) injuries are observed on the possible sites of self-infliction. b) hesitation marks are present c) clothing injuries are absent.
All of which you can clearly see with her jagged edged cut on her neck that slopes down where it ends. Obviously she did not die from this, but she wasn't meant to. It was what she did in attempt to cover her ass.
@@kutie216 these type of cases always take me back to the death Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldmen. I thank god everyday that her children weren't attacked while they were sleeping Do you know to get some extremely graphic photos taken down off of social media of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldmen because they have already lived in such pain for their losses and to me they don't need to have a visual aid. Don't get me wrong because I do happen to agree lhere a person can and will fit in the criminal prof. I.
Me neither they never did in fact I would like to see the medical records I heard on two different from two different sources that the only reason her carotid wasn't cut was because of a gold necklace she was wearing in that it had to be removed surgically. Obviously you can't put any stocking with the cops say they're not running a damn fingerprinting or keeping a woman on death row how are you can't just take her at face value either because if she did it sound like she's going to admit it. It comes down to the evidence and this case bothers me because there is a lot of room for Reasonable Doubt so she shouldn't have been convicted I think that's the point
Judy Craemer a homicidal maniac breaking into a house doesn't stab weak, small non-threatening children completely through their bodies with a butcher knife and then slash at a mom and leave her alive when she's clearly the biggest threat. They always take out the biggest threat first and then go to the weaker victims. Nothing about her story made sense to anyone who has any knowledge of crime.
Well the definition of superficiality means that they cut the skin and no vital organs. It falls into that category. Superficiality in medical terms when referring to a wound isn't your opinion of whether it looks like it was bad or not. Lol
THIS WOMAN IS GUILTY AS SIN PLEASE WATCH FORENSIC FILES THE EVIDENCE ALL POINTS TO HER SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU WATCH IT FOR THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE HER PAID DEFENSE ATTORNEY BS
They only people who think she’s isn’t guilty are men who want to get into her pants.
Why isn't she angrier at the horrible baby killing attacker who stole her life?
Catching the real killer is her only hope, right?
So why does she only show real anger at cops and prosecutors?
C'mon.
Exactly.
My daughter lost her son he was a baby. And she’s now 16 years on has never been the same! Those initial months she was beyond a wreck literally a gibbering wreck. I’ve never seen a grieving mum so beyond grief. This woman is obviously deluded.mums just loose it for a long time when a child dies . She lost two. This is a really horrible story. Beautiful boys lost mum not seeming that upset. I’ve seen raw grief it’s absolutely beyond heartbreaking.
She also saw them in this horrid state yet no trauma or care
I agree with you totally. Grief after such a loss goes on forever!
Well, I'm so sorry for your loss. That's so sad. And she may very well be guilty, but I mean maybe she's one of those people who are just a little strange and awkward. I just remember that everybody Lind if had a mob mentality about her because of the silly string at the cemetery and because of her chewing that gum. I just don't think everybody grieves the same. I agree that was really weird but I mean her whole family thought it was a good idea to have a birthday party at the cemetery...with the news.people recording it I think it's weird, but it doesn't make her a murderer, Like I said, maybe she did do it,.I don't know. But I remember how she was probably the most hated woman in this country during that time mostly because of the silly string thing.
i lost a child and yes indoors i sat and cried endlessly but outside i had to put on a brave face for my kids i hole heartedly believe she did not kill her children and just because she squirted silly string at the cemetery does not make her a killer we all grieve differently and to accuse someone of murder based on there behaviour is deplorable, nobody knows what she went through alone nobody knows if she sat and cried herself asleep every night, but based on the Evidence if they know she did it why not let them test the print!! #FreeDarlieRoutier
My Dad was 1 of 13 children, who all loved each other. In every wake, when one of his siblings had died, he was cracking jokes, then in the funeral Mass, he was sobbing. So which one was he? I think both.
I think Daren put that sock in the alley and it didn’t have Darlie’s blood on it because she hadn’t cut herself yet. I also think he’s the one who cut the screen with their bread knife and then put it back in THEIR own knife block. Things just don’t add up for it not to have been an inside job. People don’t just go into a house, kill two little boys and steal a sock. It always seems like it is a ‘coincidence’ that people have slept in a different location on the very night a rando breaks in to rob them. Oh, wait, nothing was stolen except that bloody sock. Anyone in doubt, watch the forensics file on this. Stop what you’re doing and go watch it. At the end, just be honest with yourself and see what your thoughts are. It’s horrific but it’s very evident she did this when you logically think about all the forensics. Another thing I liked listening to about this case is the True Crime Brewery Podcast. It’s called “a mother on death row”. Dick and Jill are awesome. I wasn’t sure about their voices at first, but give them a try. I LOVE TCB now and look forward to Tuesdays!
Tiffani Alldredge my aunt is a forensic scientist, she’s on here actually on a forensic files uploaded on RUclips( needle in a haystack) - and she and the entire Jacksonville police department believe her. Different state different departments, but a thousand times more experience collectively on various murder crimes - she will eventually be vindicated. The law enforcement agencies that dealt with this case were not prepared or at any point in a position to be handling this situation. And forensic files narratives are trained to focus on direct your focus on the outcome . Plain and simple . I encourage you to look closer
I’ve never thought about that... it would make sense that she’d stab them, plant the evidence, then go back and cut herself. IF she did it, of course.
Everyone assumes she would have had to plant that sock after everything happened but not necessarily.
So she's a mastermind of creating a perfect crime, and you're the best investigator to know she made this mistake. Cool. I don't believe she did it, but that's what's crazy about these stories. Is anyone who is really innocent, if you don't fit the perfect profile in someones eyes, with even a hint that the top button of your 3 button polo shirt is unbuttoned then they will find you guily.
Case in point: The dumbass lady that said it threw her off that she bought gold, got implants, and celebrated her childrens birthday at their funeral! Their funeral! It would be a little off had she not gone, but she went!!! And because she didn't cry, or scream she found it odd! What a joke the whole trial was
Guilty*
In all Interviews she gave, not once she mentioned, that there has to be an murder that needs to be found, not once!!!! Guilty as sin!!!
Exactly what i notice, she should ask and wonder over and over again who have killed her kids and why, but nope.

Exactly! Not one person in that family has expressed any concern over finding a supposed intruder/child killer still on the loose. A father and grandmother not pleading and demanding the capture of someone that murdered two little boys sleeping? The house was full of valuables and yet nothing taken but the lives of two sleeping babies? How has the family done NOTHING to seek justice for them? We all know why, the real killer is on death row where she belongs.
Darlie was happy at her son's birthday party because he was dead and she thought she was going to get away with it that is why she was happy.
If the intruder cut his way into the house through the window screen using a knife, why did he need a knife from the kitchen when he stabbed the kids?
Right there was no intruder
IF someone came in and did this, what would be the reason to go into a house and attack and kill 2 small sleeping children before attacking an adult?? And the major thing for me is why that night did she decide to sleep downstairs with the boys? And that just so happens to be the night they were attacked and killed?! And how would the husband not hear anything!? Its because SHE did that to her boys. And then did that to herself! She did that to her sleeping boys and thats why there wasnt any sounds that would wake up the husband. And if she was fighting off a guy stabbing her you'd think she'd be SCREAMING for her husband!
That case hurts me so much. Those poor little boys (all three of them; Devon and Damon for losing their lives so young and viciously and Drake for all that he's seen through since, growing up without his big brothers, his Mom's selfishness and being diagnosed with cancer). Some of you people that believe or think she didnt do it are beyond stupid only two things that prove it was her and not so hard to know first is if it really was male intruder why wasnt any male or any foreign DNA found inside the house that should basically prove nobody else did it second was what exactly was the motive for a random guy to enter a house and just kill two boys and cut up the mother without raping her or robbing anything from the house. Like honestly if im wrong let me know i dont think i have ever heard of a case where a intruder just goes into a house to kill kids and just keave without a motive like robbery or rape and a killer that killed the kids would have made sure to kill darlie as well to avoid any kind of witness plain and simple. Its not that hard to put that together
What about the bloody print? No matter what she said you can’t ignore that. Also her self inflicted wounds… including solid bruises up and down the insides of both arms. And the time she had to plant the sock, cut the screen and make the call. She moved like lightning. Amazing.
Print was her blood. Tested in 2015 for the presence of male DNA and it has none. Too smeared to be identified, small print like a females.
She had plenty of time. Timeline depends on when Damon's fatal wound was inflicted and there's evidence to suggest he was attacked twice..
Bruising up and down one arm, not both. No punches to the face or head. Why would an attacker bother taking the time to do that ? When he had a knife ?
The DNA test performed on that bloody fingerprint excludes all males. There aren't enough legible points of identification in the print to be admitted as evidence, but the legible points do not exclude Darlie. So, the fingerprint probably came from Darlie.
I could not support my wife if I thought she killed my two young sons. Yet Darlie's husband always supported her innocence.

Hmmm let's see. I can think of many reasons. Just to list one.... Maybe the intruder was breaking in to steal some things and was startled when they woke up.
@@kaprikablitz4476 Then the killer would kill the adult first, that would make the most sense. Not kill two kids first and then an adult who is capable of fighting them off.
Why would she pick up the knife? My first instinct would be to gather my children whether they were injured or not and try to hide or get out of the house not go frolicking around picking up murder weapons.

WATCH FORENSIC FILES EPISODE: INVISIBLE INTRUDER AND THEN COME BACK TO THIS
Blood Spatter has been debunked and been responsible for many wrongful convictions. There have been unfrequent cases of strangers breaking into homes and killing children.
The bread knife contained fibreglass fibre, which she used to cut the window screen. She clearly had no idea that that evidence could remain on the knife. The murder weapon was a knife from the house.. yeh.. a random stranger comes into a house some magical way.. takes a knife and kills the kids and doesnt kill the mother.. then takes a breadkinfe to cut the window screen to escape.. but of course puts the bread knife back :D
Darlie also inflicted her wounds upon herself at the kitchen sink, and it was later found that she attempted to clean the blood from the cupboard doors beneath with the towel/rag she was using to hold her neck wound.. why try to clean the blood up and tamper with evidence?

I never understood it when the authorities refuse to seek out all the evidence. That enough seems suspect on behalf of the state.
You are right. Regardless of whether Darlie Routier did this or not, all evidence must be thoroughly examined. Forensics and the data bases have evolved so much since the 90's. This is true, especially in view of the fact that she is on Death Row. Let the truth be known!!
You should really watch the forensic files episode. The proof against her is astounding.
@Carolyn Smith Facts:
1. She cleaned up bloody footprints that contradicted her story
2. The bread knife from inside the house cut through the screen window

I saw a family not long ago celebrating their child’s birthday, laughing and partying just like what she did. Their daughter was murdered and not anyone said a thing about that. On top of that Darlie almost died herself. There is so much that they wouldn’t allow in evidence to poor her innocence. You would think that a Judge would allow anything if your facing charges of the kind.
They proved she couldn’t have done it and no one would listen to all of it. They are scared to pardon her because of people like you that think she did it. I think people like to hear the worst possible scenario and haven’t really done any research. Just crazy how an innocent person’s life has been taken from her when she escaped death herself from an intruder.
To me, her being innocent is way scarier than her being guilty. V HG lol no. Research the case. That is a lie.
Your comment is ridiculous, here's why..
Police Seized a large amount of evidence from the house/scene and
Investigators said her account of the attack did not match that evidence.
Darlie's wounds, according to all medical reports, were superficial.. go figure...Also she slit her own throat over the sink, we know this because her blood was found in the sink and not on or by the couch fighting off the intruder.
Darlie said there was an intruder, and that intruder murdered her sons but there was no evidence of a stranger entering or leaving the house that night.
The flyscreen was cut using a knife belonging to Darlie's kitchen from the inside..
There were no bloody footprints of anyone but Darlie.

If I were on that jury, there is no way I would have convicted this woman of killing her children. The crime scene was so contaminated from everyone running through it, that glass could have been kicked from one spot to another, the butter knife they found with fiber from the screen could have become contaminated when they dusted it after dusting the screen area. And, so what if she likes nice jewelry, polished nails and had a breast implant, so wanting to feel good about yourself is now a crime. How many of you out there like to look nice and like nice things, so this makes her a bad parent. She liked to go out and have fun, so what, who doesn't, and just because you have children doesn't mean you can't still enjoy life. As for the money issues, lots of people have money issues, doesn't mean they are going to kill their children because of money issues. Darlie was a very vibrant woman, who loved life, but loved her children much more. Some of the things that were seen in the videos of this woman, I have done when joking around, doesn't make me a killer, I like nice things, doesn't make me a killer, I have always had money problems, mostly because I'd go way overboard buying things for my child, and taking him on nice vacations, doesn't make me a killer. This woman, in my opinion has been falsely convicted, and I think it's more because of the way she lived her life and how she dressed, now this is a crime. I feel for her, I believe she loved her children too much to kill them, and as far as the birthday party she had for her son Devon at their grave site, I see nothing wrong with that, she is letting them know how much they mattered to her, and yes, they would have loved the fact that she celebrated them. Everyone responds differently and grieves differently, doesn't make her a killer. As for the woman juror who said she found it repulsive that she had a birthday party for Devon at his grave, she is so wrong using those words, it wasn't repulsive at all, she was there to show her love for her sons who were murdered and Devon could not be there in life to celebrate with his Mom, I found nothing wrong with it. She had a beautiful prayer service for the boys, and was sobbing uncontrollably, they didn't see that video though. I myself would have a hard time containing myself if I had to listen to the Prosecutor calling me a murderer knowing I was not one, and I may have shouted out LIAR to him too. How about that sock that was found 75 yards away in an alley near the sewer, don't think she ran down to that alley and then back 75 yards. How about the bloody fingerprint that didn't match anyone in that house. In the meantime there is a murderer out there walking freely while this wrongly convicted woman sits in prison.
Cheryl Endicott I agree. I’d be sitting there still.
That's why you are not in the jury.
I with u on everything u said it's sad they convict her just cause of breast implants and her liking nice things
I'm unsure where I'd go with this. I mean she seemed cold and callus however, they make the statement that SHE put the sock there but why were there no blood trails. According to the detectives on scene the fathers first statement upon meeting them in living room was something along the lines of have you seen darlie and how beautiful she was that he could see how someone would want to break in with her double d's. Something weird/odd about this whole case that they never once looked at him either. Though, where were his foot prints or any other footprints other than Darlie's. This is odd but if Darlie did do it then her husband was in on it 100%. OR maybe Darlie didn't do it and was really panicky running around the house bc I do find it odd that the husband woke up to breaking glass but not the screaming that HAD to have ensued as Darlie got her throat cut and arm sliced but AFTER the "intruder" left. HE was the intruder and thats how that sock got there bc he placed it there and ran back home to stumble down the stairs to act like the glass woke him up.
The butter knife with the fiber didn’t have screen fiber, it was fiber from the finger print duster
That attorney didn't defend her at all what would you do differently if you had it to do all over again I don't think I would do anything different really? You wouldn't call one witness to speak about her wonderful character and motherhood you wouldn't call one witness to refute the forensic testimony or any other testimony of their experts not an attorney but I have representing myself pro se and I'm intelligent enough to know that I can ask for a postponement because I need to collect more evidence and call special Witnesses you really wouldn't do anything different you should do everything different you were resting on your laurels I believe and didn't give them any reason to believe that she was different from what they were saying I believe she should get a new trial because of lack of representation
He called plenty of character witnesses. He couldn't refute the evidence. He tried. But it was indisputable. And still is.
