About Me
My name is Brandon Herrera. I'm the owner and operator of The AK Guy Inc, a 07 Firearm Manufacturer based out of Fayetteville, NC. I also co-own Stark Media Group, and designed the rifle known as the AK-50.
I've started to dedicate this RUclips channel above all to have fun, but also as a way to document my entrepreneurial journey for the next few years as I try to grow my companies. Hopefully, people can learn from my example, successes, and failures.
Either way, I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, and I hope it's just as fun to follow along!

Me and four other soldiers field tested the Barrett at Ft. ERWIN , CA. THE M82 HAD LIKE A HOWITZER MUSSLE BRAKE it didn't work very well we pulled the brake off of the single shot bolt gun and put it on the m82! Huge difference hence the evolution of current mussel brake! Thank you Barrett for listening to soldiers feedback! Current soldiers don't have to take the beating we did! Actual fielded weapons are fantastic and have saved numerous lives in combat! Thank you Barrett!
That time Marines in Afghanistan called Barret on a sat-phone IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIRE FIGHT, to trouble shoot their M82.

I think the term “the whole nine yards” was around in the previous war, WWI, when British machine gunners using the Vickers Machine guns, a maxim designed belt fed machine gun, they would tell them to “give them the whole nine yards”, referring to the 250 round belt, which was roughly 9 yards long.
I’m basing this off of Ian Macullan from Forgotten Weapons, talking about WWI heavy machine guns, however, we dont know 100% if its from WWI or WWII.

This is not a scaled up rifle, this is a scaled down artillery piece.
@The GunMaster And a lot of the antiaircraft weapons as well. I think NYPD keeps some of these for that purpose, or so they said. Maybe they have even hotter stuff, I guess I wouldn't be too surprised.

You know what I find strange... for Brandon's love of Russian weaponry (AK's mostly) he goes for the .50 BMG and NOT the 14.5 Russian. Then again.... 14.5 is a bit chunkier then the 12.7 and probably unobtanium. So likely for the better.
The Russians have 12.7 anti-materiel rounds as well, but I believe .50 BMG has the better ballistics

Gravity is 9.81 meters per second squared (10.7 yards / 32.1 feet per second squared), and for 3 seconds it was raining. Ignoring the resistance of air, that means soda was shot a little over 14.715 meters (around 16.092 yards / 48.277 feet) into the air. Meaning you could still be showered by soda if you were on the 4th floor of a building when the soda was shot.

You always make entertaining & educational video content too watch & I thank you for it, including your collaboration ones. In addition the 50. Cal based videos you & others make that I've seen reminds me of a 50.cal based sniper rifle from old call of duty games & is 1 that I always wondered if there ever was a real life equivalent of it. I don't remember it's full name but it was as I can recall for a namesake; the bullpen 50. Mjk. It was often gun metal Grey & had a special unlock that turned it into a bolt action type of rifle from a semi automatic 1.

It's not that hard to find ammo of your choice. Finding ammo at semi reasonable prices is the hard part.

Your problem is the ammo? My problem is getting even a .22 registered without going through several stages of paperwork, training etc. Even thinking about a .50 is basically impossible let alone importing one :(

@@earlwyss520 The Boys anti-tank rifle is .55 caliber. The problem is that, in the US, that would constitute a Destructive Device. That's why they are often converted to .50 BMG in America.
