This is one of the most spectacular hiking attractions in Kenya that offer spectacular view of Ngong hills. It's a drawback that the authorities in Kenya have neglected the dilapidated road leading to this fascinating hiking destination that can only be likened to Flams in Norway. By tarmacking that critical road it will eventually open up the destination to innumerable visitors and facilitate daily transportation for Kengen sub station and Kenya Forest service entities staff relying on very same transport infrastructure. Thank you @Dave Mani for spotlighting this breathtaking fresh air site to visit.
I stayed in Kiserian and Ongata Rongai and visited Ngong often. But I didn't get a chance to hike. A few years ago when I visited home and went to the Kibiko prayer Center, I should have but didn't.
So proud of u guys ! My buddy flew from Ohio early this month to climb my Kilimanjaro. He was so proud of the achievement. He said it was a challenge but definitely worth it Sending lots of cheer and support from Ohio.
The hills’s view is amazing as you can see mt. kilimanjaro, mt. longonot , mt. Suswa , oletepesi hills and Nairobi city and neighborhood suburbs. Running here is tough or even hikers or walkers for first time visitors has you come back again it gets better. I have been here several times and feel awesome after the run. Thank you for sharing your experience 😊
Brings back memories, hiked all the peaks. Took a bus from the other side then hiked up again to the third peak to meet my group that could not make it. About 20 years ago, there were only 3 windmills then. None of many other hikes I have done in california beats that experience!
making me miss home soo much i left two weeks ago for uni kinda saddd soo happy i can watch you guys representing kenya honestly ur videos will help me get though this yearrr..... ive been to the 4th highest peck i think once in 2019
Love the video. You both brought back great memories & it was free to roam in those days. My friends & I all got dressed up in black tie & the girls in evening dresses. We all had lunch around a table after driving it almost to the top of 1st Ngong hill in my Dads old Merc. We offered a Maasia. chocolate moose who found it disgusting. Fun days & fantastic views. 👍
Go! Go! Go! Goooooooooooo Tracey....you can do it.. we used to do these hills as kids. You can do it.🥰🥰 You guys did so well...you did so good 👍 👏 .. Congrats.
Nice one Dave and Tracey. Physical activity isn't about the body but the mind. If you manage to control the negative emotions you achieve your physical activity goals. It's so easy to give up mentally.
The more you can exercise at high altitude, the better you should fair on Kilimanjaro. It is really only the last part where you start at 2-3 am for that final steep climb up the scree that is hard mostly due to the lack of oxygen. Best of luck, it is an accomplishment you can be proud of.
You guys are awesome couple 💑 ,you always put kenya 🇰🇪 in a differen perspective outside here than the way people have known it before. Job well done. I will subscribe your channel now although I have been your fun since day one.
Thanks for the vlog. 👍 Nice intro. 👍 Music 🎶👍 Beautiful Landscape views from all of the peaks. Go Go Go Tracy... Congrats on your training achievement.👏🏻 Watched the vlog and immediately remembered the date night vlog mentioned at the end where you looked refreshed you would've never thought you had hiked earlier in the day... The wind farm. 👍 Dave fears wind turbines. They have got to be checked and maintained. Was Tracy kidding regarding the cows? Did you get any new subscribers? Did you meet any subscribers? Thanks for all the information. Have a good afternoon and weekend. Have a good month. Stay safe.
Fun!! I've run so many marathons over the years, so I can sympathize with you Tracey. So many times I've struggled the first 75% of a marathon, then just breezed through. The best was running the NYC marathon while pregnant.... run Tracey, run 🏃♀️. Or in this case.. HIKE Tracey HIKE you can do it ❤❤
*Can't wait for the Mount Kilimanjaro one, Ngong' is done next one should Mt Kenya coz its not as high as Kilimanjaro so that by the time you gonna be heading to Kili then you'll be fully ready for it.*
My pals and I did it a couple of years ago and it seriously did us in! We did 14 hills like you all....let's just say the massages after were heeeeeven on earth
Hiked Ngong hill in 2021 before going to a foreign land I miss this place. I was going through negative thoughts in my life and I went there to meditate.
I did Ngong hills twice as prep hikes for both Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro..It’s great prepping for the mountains…Elephant hill should be another prep hike you do before Kilimanjaro
i recall the last time i went there with some friends... we started at the KWS pay point (gate) and walked all the way to Kona Baridi on the other side. Then took a vehicle back to from there... Our bodies were aching for days hahaha. It was worth it though.. Going to the last hill and back is twice the work than just going all the way
Walking the footsteps of Meryl Streep and other cast and crew of "Out Of Africa" Hollywood blockbuster. Location and setting was in parts of the Ngong Hills and Karen-Nairobi
Hi if you need a good guide for Kili drop me a line. Our guide in 2007 was Moses Kashumba who also led us up the Mountains of the Moon in 2011 and Mount Kenya in 2015. Moses is a Tanzanian. I was 63 when we went up Kili. Moses is the best guide and a true gentleman. I am aiming to climb Mount Kenya for my 80th in 2024.
I love ngong hills but I hate the first time I climbed, I started on the way down from Ngong Town it was hell, Again you have mentioned something very IMPORTANT they should put some signs to let you know like you are on what Hill. My first climb was 2011 and its a shame to see they haven't done it up to now.
Thanks for this video. My husband has done this hike but I have not, I think I will go with him next time. I am now convinced that there are no buffaloes along the route it looks clear. Very beautiful views all around. How far were you from Kona Baridi before you turned back?
Here is the place to stay before hiking Ngong Hills! ➡️ ruclips.net/video/OtdT1PE1vg4/видео.html
@@DaveMani thank u so much. I wonder can you buy property out that way?

I agree, the wind turbines really spoil the look of the hills.
