I remember when this movie came out in theaters. Our movie theater chain made a big deal about how this movie was going in Dolby Stereo, along with the Duran Duran song. What a treat for the ears.
@@georgehenderson7783 Scientists are getting closer , well not to being immortal sadly :( but to prolong our lives to at least 115 -120. :) problem we have at the moment is trying to slow down the aging process, as we get older , we get weaker and are more lightly to get ill, also it's our brains that are the problem. If they can somehow sole this , problem then, it will be a massive breakthough not just from a scientific point of view , but as a whole for humans :)

It has received a bad rap due to Moores age but I am a big fan of Sir Roger and this was the first James Bond film that I saw so it is one that I will happily watch again and again

@@dandan3521 I'm not a fan of Daniel Craig as Bond or any of the new characters (or old like Dench) in the new movies. I loved Moore's Bond in the 70s, but I felt like we just didn't get enough of Dalton's Bond. It's hard to choose a favorite but I liked every Bond before Daniel Craig and every Bond movie before Die Another Day. Brosnan was already too old in that one and it just wasn't a good movie to me.

I was way too young at the time to understand almost any of this movie, but definitely remember being terrified by that scene where the stairs on the blimp fold up and drop the guy into the ocean. My mom still tells stories of how I was afraid of escalators after that.
I remember my friend and I who were total Duran Duran fans,freaking out and singing along to the song,having people tell us to shut up!To this day I still love Duran Duran,althougj I prefer their earlier stuff to their most recent stuff.

Grace Jones is definitely among the most memorable female characters. She was pretty athletic back in the day, and formidable too. She doesn't get my vote for best looking Bond girl, but she is easily one of the most fleshed out.

Sir Roger Moore's final 007 movie, was, by his own admission, wasn't as good as it could've been. He felt a lack of chemistry between James Bond & Stacy Sutton (Tanya Roberts). And he was repelled by the violent dispatch of Zorin's men in the mine. On the plus side, the pre credit opening was one of the better ones, and we saw Patrick Macnee (John Steed of the Avengers fame) as 007's partner. The Living Daylights is one of the BEST 007 films ever!
Roger did actually not get on with tanya on set which prob did not help with there chemistry. Also there was quite a big age difference. He also did not get on with grace jones.

Exactly! I also do editing and hardly no one ever makes a comment about the editing. It's always the song, the artist, the movie or the actor. Quite hard to make a montage that fits with a good rhythm. Thank you for your comment on behalf of all editors! ;-)
The Movie was Excellent and so was this Song. One of my Favorites. Duran Duran was something else. James Bond slept with EVERYBODYYYYYYYYYY! 1:05 That Bond was a Ladies' man in every sense of the phrase.
A crying shame there was no way to get Grace Jones & Duran Duran to collaberate on a Bond theme-song similar to what they did in Arcadia's 'Re-Election Day'. That song is hauntingly-powerful, and with a little creative-tweaking could've been shoe-horned into a Bond-film.

The Movie was Excellent and so was this Song. One of my Favorites. Duran Duran was something else. James Bond slept with EVERYBODYYYYYYYYYY! 1:05 That Bond was a Ladies' man in every sense of the phrase.

A crying shame there was no way to get Grace Jones & Duran Duran to collaberate on a Bond theme-song similar to what they did in Arcadia's 'Re-Election Day'. That song is hauntingly-powerful, and with a little creative-tweaking could've been shoe-horned into a Bond-film.

Although Roger was older than Tanya's mother, the age gap (about 27 years) between Roger and Tanya was not the largest. This distinction went to Carole Bouquet and Roger which was almost 30 years.
