- After a long while, I've finally jumped back into completing a puzzle with my favorite type of image, DISNEY! This 1000 piece puzzle is called "Play In The Park", featuring rides and park icons from the Walt Disney World theme parks. You even have Mickey and friends tagging along with you on your walk throughout these four amazing parks. The brand of this set is actually Disney, so you better hope that it's worth the price (everything is Disney is expensive LOL).

My dad is in town and brought me the Lilo & Stitch signature puzzle I’ve been wanting! This video makes me want to get started on that instead of the one I have laid out. I’ve been wanting this play in the park one, my bf suggested a disneyland map puzzle and I told him I’ve been wanting one but they’re expensive from resellers. We went to a pre-auction gallery show in Burbank yesterday and it was so cool seeing a bunch of old Disney merch, I believe it all belonged to a private collector who decided to auction a bunch of stuff.
I have that Lilo and Stitch set too! Scrape the other puzzle for now and start a Disney! And yes, Disney puzzles are way more expensive from resellers. I've looked up many that I've regretted not buying while on vacation, and most times they are at least double. But that's if you want a new set. I don't remember if I found used ones at reasonable prices. But if I'm buying Disney, I prefer to get it new so that I can add it to my dusty collection. You're actually better off buying them at the resort/theme parks or at the actual Disney store. Check the shopDisney website, sometimes they have a few sets and they rotate the selection. I'm sure all that old Disney merch you saw at the auction was way better quality and more hard wearing than what Disney produces now. Overall quality has gone downhill over the years.

Good day Mandy! yet another super video. I can only imagine what it's like to go to Disney world, having never been to the USA. and good on you for treating yourself, fun fact: 24 dollars is the minimum you would pay for a puzzle here in NZ haha, most are around $30-$100 if not second-hand, you are so fortunate to be in the puzzle heaven! I have so many puzzles that look perfectly cut but just like yours, they are extremely frail too, wonder why this happens eh? even the ones that say "full interlocking" can be easily destroyed by a single touch...so I know the struggle well! the puzzle is beautiful and very interesting, love the elongated shapes, never seen any like this before.

I'd definitely recommend heading to Disney if you take a trip out to the USA. Just make sure you have tons of disposable income, you like to hang out in the blistering heat (if you choose Florida), and don't mind being dragged around by swarms of sweaty people...I still love it though 😂 It's good fun if you plan it well or take it leisurely.
I've heard that puzzles are hard to come by in NZ, but I did not realize they could even go up to $100! That's a pretty expensive hobby there. What brands are usually the most expensive?
Yea, the cut/fit is a bit mind boggling to me. You would think it would hold a lot better, but the slightest touch will ruin it. I still very much enjoyed putting this image together.
I have a few Ravensburger Disney puzzles, but not the Disney branded ones.

Ravensburger do have such amazing Disney images. There are so many I would love to add to my collection. Even though Disney's quality isn't the greatest, I would still recommend trying at least one of their exclusive images. I was just looking at the shopDisney site and there's a couple I'm keeping my eye on 😁
When I first saw the box I did not like the image, but once put together yes it was VERY NICE!! yes easier than it looked...Im so glad you enjoyed and had fun..... I do not have any Disney sets, Yes I am still "puzzled" as to why all puzzles do not come with a poster. I can see where the cost was high since you did purchase it at the theme park....the image may not be available anywhere else so yes to had to treat yourself!!!!!! .. .Glad you are feeling better and sorry about your booboo on your finger.. The poster situation will always be "puzzling", especially when they charge prices like that. Thankfully the image was pretty straightforward so I didn't have to struggle to make out any small details from just using the box. It's crazy though, from my experience it is actually cheaper to buy them from the resort/theme park. I've looked online for sets that I regretted not buying whilst on vacation, and they are nearly double everywhere else. And Disney's online store never has more than about five sets! But then again, to me, it feels like a real treat when you pick up one of these sets whilst on property, it feels special. But it can make for an overall very expensive shopping trip 🤣
Thankfully, I'm feeling close to normal now, but my kid is still dealing with a bad cough. Hoping it'll pass soon. As for the booboo, its healed now, but of course I hurt myself again and sporting another bandaid LOL.
We have two Disney branded puzzles, both Signature puzzles. Beauty and the Beast is one; Fantasia Mickey is the other. Ironically though, we have never been to any of the parks. We found them at secondhand and thrift shops, so we paid less than $24 for both. The Beauty and the Beast is complete, but we haven't done the Mickey one yet.

You are super lucky to have found those sets at secondhand/thrift shops! I've seen the sets you have, and they are fantastic images. I really do love the art style of the Signature Series. The Haunted Mansion puzzle I mentioned in this video is actually from the same series.

🤯🤯Oh...MY...My heart literally sank when I saw that puzzle image! The entire scene is so serene, my house is set in the most perfect spot 🤩🤩It truly is me.
I have 3 Disney branded puzzle. One looks like yours only it is Disneyland and it’s shaped like Mickey. One is the map of Disneyland and the last is a 4 pack of 500 piece images of the haunted mansion (sorry for the ptsd that probably caused) 😂. I’m excited to get to each of them! Ooo I've seen the Disneyland set you mentioned. I actually have the same Mickey head shaped set but in the WDW version. I completed that one a few years ago, and I remember absolutely loving it.
Oh no...a 4 pack of Haunted Mansion...that makes me shudder, but for some reason I feel like I need to have it 🤣

We can't get Disney branded puzzles here in Greece but I love doing the Thomas Kincade Disney ones.
I can only get Disney branded at the actual parks/resorts, and maybe some on their shopDisney online shop. Ebay sells them for about double the price which is crazy. I absolutely love the Thomas Kincaid Disney sets, maybe even more than some of the Disney branded ones.

Beauty and the Beast is one of my most favorite from Disney too. I think the classics are the best.
Temu has free shipping on all orders today in leu of Prime day.... you might check out the wooden puzzles ... they have some for less than $10.00 and no shipping... pay close attention as to what size you order if you do order any.....
Wow, that's a great price! All these sales are trying to make me give into so much temptation, but I must keep resisting for awhile longer till I am able to buy things without guilt! If only I had a million dollars 😭
I have high expectations for over 20$ and have at the very least one poster is one of them!! I really liked this image!
Truly, you really are paying for the exclusive images, which I can't help but absolutely love. All their images are so fun and beautiful. But surely would've been nice to at least include a poster, or better yet, have a puzzle that actually stays intact.

Never done a Disney puzzle…I do think your puzzle looks like it was easy to put together. Might try a Disney puzzle in the near future.
It really was overall an easy image to put together, as the details were very straightforward. I know I probably could've done it quicker, but I was really taking it all in throughout the process. I do love me a good Disney image. You should definitely try one!

@@praisepuzzle I've traveled around Lincolnshire during my many visits to Enlgand in the past, but I've never been around the Worcester area. England does have so much beautiful history and sites.
And, yes, I do feel that's a bit spendy for the quality, but typical of them park settings.
What's crazy is that the price you pay at the theme park is actually the best you're gonna get! Resellers usually charge double for them.

Ohhh yes its great fun... connecting and sharing..... I hope in the future you do ,do a forum... I found some good buys today and had fun ( long story) at Target still trying to find the ever allusive Scrabble puzzle it would be fun to have somewhere to share stories and good finds...... oh it will be fun to watch you do the 1500 piece.. you will give us an honest opinion of how hard or easy it was , where it fit... the lighting etc.... as always good luck have fun....
Still trying to figure out and plan the forum, as I think it’ll be great for everyone. I might put a poll out soon to see how much interest there is. Started working on the 1500 piece today! So far it’s been interesting 😀Gotta catch up on a few thing at home so next video will be a bit delayed, but will be taking every moment I can to keep pushing through it.

@@kathylynn1375 It's proving to be quite challenging in some areas, but I love this image. I'm planning to have maybe a couple videos out before I get this one finished/filmed/edited. I am savoring and taking my time with it, but I will have the final completion time mentioned in the final video. I don't necessarily have a timer, I just add up all the footage time I have completing the puzzle during editing. And yes, housework is no joke especially when you end up doing most of it 😂 I always say there aren't enough days in the week to get everything done, and it all piles up on you if you don't stay on target. I've let a lot slip by recently 😓
@@thepuzzledmandy ohhh good Im glad you are taking your time.. I heard Karen say she got stressed just doing a puzzle for a video, and didn't enjoy it.. I think it was her?? so I am glad you are taking your time...and savoring your big Disney...I don't mind watching it but Im not interested in doing speed puzzling..nor do I care how long it takes me ,, it relaxes me... so I sure dont want to stress over how long it takes.......... I did two 550 piece ones the last few days we had lots of rain... just fun ones.... I think at this point you could sit and read the phone book,,and we would listen... lol You are a busy person, you work, have this channel, your daughter & hubby etc etc etc... and nope men dont help but they sure like to think they do!!!!!! so yea something has to give and you don't want to stress out....give yourself a break and do what you can and dont stress over what ya cant... believe me in 20 years it will be the same...... I am retired , and it still seems Im at it all the time and then tomorrow do it all again... ugggggg... Oh I saw the lego picture thing... I referred to it as like doing cross stitch... had you heard of cross stitch.... rest well.....
@@kathylynn1375 I've made a promise to myself that I would not let my videos/RUclips take away the joy of completing puzzles. Sometimes it can feel a bit of a rush when it comes to getting things done for filming/editing, but at the end of the day I have to remember to just enjoy the process, have fun, and take the time that I need, even though I try to get a full length video out at once a week. Its tough with everything else I have to juggle with...and yes sometimes men don't help as much as they think they do🤣🤣. That's mainly with housework though, he has helped me a lot with trying to get things/equipment set up so that I can make the videos. If I end up doing the forum, he's actually going to put it all together for me because I have no clue how it works LOL. As for the lego video, I'm surprised you actually saw it as it was "unlisted" and meant for the company to review 🤣must of been a RUclips glitch. That's the video that's been delayed because the company hasn't replied to my last email to finalize the last info I need😠!
Hey Mandy, watching this video gave me an idea as in Sydney, we only have Luna Park. We did have a Wonder Land some 20-25 years ago which closed down, yet there is a Disneyland in France so once I move, might take the family to that one. I sense our Granddaughter would love it, including us adults :-) Will have to buy some jigsaws then and fill my house up even more lol
Slight change of topic. I have a double-sided jigsaw with the same pic on both sides, yet the reverse side has the pic turned by 90 degrees. Have you got any jigsaws like that? Apparently comes under "one of the world's hardest puzzles" :-)
Hi Ernie! One of the biggest stops I MUST do when I visit France is Disneyland Paris! It's part of my bucket list, along with visiting all the other Disney theme parks, especially the one in Japan. So many trips...so little money 😭. We would definitely have to stock up on some exclusive sets whilst we're there! Who cares how full your house is...fill it up to the ceilings or get another storage unit 🤣🤣
Regarding that insane reverse puzzle, I've never heard of anything like it. That sounds scary hard...but sounds like it would make a very interesting challenge 🤔

Hello Mandy, I just recently discovered your youtube channel and I love your video's. I'm a great Disney fan too. And I also collect Disney puzzles. Most puzzles I have are from Ravensburger, Jumbo, schmidt and Clementoni (bcs these are the most common here in The Netherlands). Did you try the Schmidt premium puzzles yet? They have the same Thomas Kinkade images as the ceaco brand. But the Schmidt puzzles are 1000 pieces and of much better quality. I have not tried the Schmidt puzzles yet, but I’m really looking forward to picking my first one up real soon, especially since they do carry the Disney Kincaid images. I haven’t bought any Ceaco ones since I found out 😂. I’ve never heard of Jumbo before, I’ll have to look into that brand. I also need to look more into the Clementoni sets as I have not checked out their Disney images yet. I’ve been holding off at looking at more sets recently, as I’m trying not to get tempted to buy more 🤣I’m running out of space🤣
It was certainly a colourful image despite the dark background. A pity that the pieces didn't hold together well, especially considering how much you paid for it. $24.99 is £19.47 in UK money. The average price of a 1000 piece jigsaw is £16 so quite expensive. For that I would expect a good quality puzzle. Basically you are paying for the name. Products are quite often more expensive at the theme park or brand store than they would be elsewhere. At least you enjoyed it despite the somewhat poor quality. 🙂
I agree. For sure you are paying for the name. From my experience though, I do notice with most of these Disney branded sets, it's actually cheaper to buy them at the resort/theme park. Have you ever assembled a 1,500 piece jigsaw puzzle before? Me and a friend of mine sorted out the edges. The jigsaw puzzle size is 28.75 x 36 inches. The brand is springbok. The theme is Coca-Cola and the title is: collector’s table. It looks fun and challenging overall. It came in the mail just over 1 week ago (not yesterday). A woman from springbok jigsaw puzzle helped me find it by searching on the website. Although it is going to be very hard for me but I will try to do my best. I can say your jigsaw puzzle looks like fun except the pieces are fun-shaped and thin quality. I do not know if the puzzle pieces will stay together. My mother is sending me a jigsaw puzzle in the mail for my 36th birthday. My birthday is under 3 weeks away. I do feel old as of right now. My beard has a lot of white all over + you can barely see them. That is to show I am old. No laughing about this. I am old.

@thepuzzledmandy I really don't remember, but I'm not a particularly fast puzzler. I have to have a completely different mindset doing the bigger puzzles, seeing it more as delayed gratification, if that makes sense.
One thing I did was build it on 4 foamboards that I could stack, that way it really didn't take up tons of room. This Mickey puzzle is an excellent design for working on it in quadrants if you want. It was so rewarding and kinda sad.when I finished, lol. I wish they would make a new version!
@@Suzie.G. I was thinking about using multiple foam boards for when I start working on the much larger count sets. I think the biggest I can fit on my table is a 1500p set. Anything bigger than that will need a different set up. I'm not familiar with sets over 2000p, but do they usually get packaged in several bags instead of just one bag with all the pieces in it? I'm guessing that's how your set came since you were able to work on it in sections. I need to pick a super big set at some point. Were you able to save your completed puzzle or did you crumble it up again? I'd feel so sad if I couldn't save it after spending so much time on it lol.
That’s expensive for a low quality puzzle. I hate thin puzzle pieces that don’t hold together. Not surprised that Disney overcharges for poor quality product.
Sadly a lot of their merchandise quality has gone downhill. Of course its to save money and get more profit. It's crazy how its nearly impossible to even afford a trip nowadays. Makes me sad that we can't go as often as we used to, but there are other amazing places to visit in this world for less.
are you near the floods in New York , are you getting lots of rain.... Pray you are safe....
Thankfully I'm not. But we got so much rain yesterday that we had some flooding by the lakes where I work and some around my community. My house is pretty high up the mountain so thank goodness there's really nowhere for water to collect around it. Work was a bit treacherous to navigate, and I ended up getting my boots soaked after thinking a puddle was shallow, but that was it. I'm grateful nothing got really bad out here.

I am glad you had an enjoyable experience. In my opinion, I think the price is to much for a puzzle where the quality is lacking, piece thickness, no poster, glare etc. If I wanted to try this I would search for a second hand puzzle personally to try it out 🙂 Thank you for sharing! 🧩🧩🧩
Totally agree! But it's those darn images that get me every time. Second hand would be a great option though if you can find them for a reasonable price. I haven't had good luck finding them.
