I would like to say why this video was up. It was brought up the question of "what would happen if we put 6xxx or 7xxx Intel chip on a Z370. and this is the results. This was by no means to know it booting up and how i did it. it was just to prove that a 6700K in this case, cannot be used on a Z370. i apoligize if anyone thought this video was about how to make it work.
I am certain that if one could modify bios to get a coffee lake chip to work in a z170 board, the other could be reversed as well. Is it worth the hassle to modify the bios and inject microcode? probably not.
Lol I should check out your vid before I totally freaked out why my fucking setup doesn‘t work. At all, I bought the Z370 with an i7 6700K haha and the same shit happened to mine. I thought the CPU or MOBO is faulty and got a short, or the pins got bad. Now, after hard research I figured out the Z370 only supports the 300 series processors which is the 8th generation. Now, I‘ve bought an i7 8700K and I‘m waiting for the delivery in 2 days. Unlucky me. My awesome setup is just waiting to for the CPU to finally get started by me 😂 Thanks a lot for the Video btw. :)

can this problem persist after changin for the proper cpu ?
No it should operate normally after installing a compatible CPU.

I3 8350 k is compatible with this motherboard?
Sorry for my late reply. Yes, any 8-series Intel CPU is compatible with Z370. and 9-series with a BIOS update on most Z370 boards.
That’s exactly what happened with my i7 6700k
En verdad no y todos lo sabemos es un gran procesador pero 😢😢😢 esa placa 😂😂😂😂😂😂
0:08 did something in there pop? lol
No. I think my friend dropped a screw on the floor.
Very use ful 👍
We know the Z170 came along after the 6700K and works... did the Z270 work too? 3.1... denied.
Z270 is compatible with the 6700K. And the 7700K is compatible with Z170 (after a BIOS update)
@@StaelTek Thank you

Did the pc just not start or was the cpu damaged ?
It can't start because the CPU pinout is different. The CPU and the motherboard was undamaged after he swapped the CPU for an i5 8600K.

i think as far as i know i7 6700k has different pin out than 8th gen / 9th gen
