A Hellcat was barreling down the road, but I called it and first feathered then floored that pedal and I was in there in the blink of an eye pulling away from him with extreme prejudice. Tedward, these occasional videos without talking but just pure sound of the engines is bliss. Thanks for that! Not to mention, a beautiful sound track!
I once had the job to drive a brand new Testarossa about 500km from Frankfurt to Rotterdam, where the car was shipped to Saudi Arabia. I was 20, so it was a wet dream come true. I drove carefully because it was a good job that I did more often, and I've never wrecked a car. At first, I was amazed at how cheap the material felt and looked inside. The first few kilometres were great because the engine sounded good and had enormous power for a car at that time. But after 100 kilometers on the German autobahn, the car got on my nerves. Noisy, something rattled and not very comfortable for the track. I was glad that I was rid of the car after the 500km. I liked the AMG vehicles or the BMW 7 Series Alpina, which were transferred more often, better. But of course, that's also a matter of taste.
@Zweefduiker I think when you give a 20-year-old a car like that from a customer, you have to know that this boy feels responsible and trustworthy. I only had one near accident when I fell asleep for a moment after driving an Alpina BMW 7 series from Frankfurt to Ancona in Italy overnight after work, about 1100 km. Luckily the motorway in Italy was empty and I woke up when I saw the guardrail in front of me. Just managed to avoid the impact. After that I was more awake than ever...

What a beautiful car. This is my ideal Ferrari. Fast enough to be fun but not stupid fast. Beautiful sounds. Seems like it behaves nicely at normal speeds and the fun is there when you want it.
As much as I enjoy your commentary, it’s a phucking Ferrari, just listening to the engine is more than enough. As Jimi Hendrix used to say: “I prefer to let the music do the talking”. One of the things that struck me the first time I saw a Testarossa was how large it was, and how roomy it was inside. When you see pictures of the Countach it looks like a monster, then when see one in the flesh it’s tiny. I never thought the Testarossa was good looking, but it was a design that was always going to be polarizing. The Daytona, the Dino, the 275gtb are what I would consider some of the most gorgeous objects ever created. But to run a Testarossa flat out on the German autobahn? Hand me the keys!
I like how you slowed up at 5:40 because you couldn't see over that hill, you never know what's on the other side of those things (like those good samaritans that stop in the road to help baby ducks cross). Also that was a nice classic (what looked like)500SEL in the left lane
