    ************* MISTAKE ****************
Sorry! I made a mistake! 미안하다 is also a Sino-Korean word, 未安하다.
It still doesn't change that 죄송하다 sounds stronger than 미안하다.

Romanization is not a good way to learn Korean. Learning Hangul if way easier because wherever you go it doesn't tell you how to pronounce it , does it ?

I am slightly confused... you said that you can say 미안해 to friends, but not people older then you... does that mean I can't say this to friends who are older then me, or can I use this with friends who are older then me?
