    Hi there,
    For last step is that you soak the gold ball in mineral water, or any type of acid?

  • @ut000bs
    @ut000bs 4 года назад +2

    Is that karat gold or fine? If it's fine gold drop that little bead in a bit of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) for a minute or two to get the borax off. You'll have a very clean and shiny bead.

    Hi, there.I think,sorry, I know, he put a little bit too much in,at the start, "borax" 5 an a half minutes later he adds the gold.I add my gold at the start.Borax it acts like a Grease for the process and a pinch just before the gold starts to come together, well that's how I do it. And as for the borax powder, it looked a little bit too much Sometimes. less is more and more is less.I put a small pinch in the middle of the burn, and just before the end, to temper the gold by a few degrees.So that I can adjust the burner flame and adding a tiny bit more of Borax means you get more gold. May your burn be bright, and your gold be pure 20 karats and upwards.Remember not all gold is pure that's why I said 20 karats,it may have silver, metallic elements, lead,copper,grit, Sand and rusty iron and don't be fooled by that metal.If you find,don't discard it "Pyrite or fool's gold" has a small amounts of gold in it,so crush it, refine it three four times at least you might be surprised by your results also get yourself a gold testing kit, because you determine if there is enough gold in it,to break up these stones. I buy paydirt,I ask them to put some pyrite in sometimes it could lift your paydirt up by 0.25+ a gram that's 0.25 to 0.5 extra.As I say, if you don't ask,you don't get,I have never had anyone say no, that's if they got any.I had paydirt sellers saying we don't sell pyrite. If you can't get hold of the stronger acids,we cannot access stronger acids,because of the acid attacks in Britain by Muslims on the general public. Hannibal of Carthage while crossing the mountains, used vinegar to break rocks,so he could attack Roman settlements in Northern Italy. It's an ancient technique for breaking up stones and rocks to get "ore" out of it.A pestle and mortar, a metal one...G...I hope this may of cleared some questions up for you...May all your pans, be full. "Gold",... just watched a Jeff Williams RUclips video a wacky Guy and he talks to a skeleton he crashed up and rock and got two and a half grams a pure gold from from one small bag of rocks about 2.4kg/6 pound in weight in which he crushed pyrite...

    • @kassiman5307
      @kassiman5307  3 года назад +3

      No, nothing is vaporized. That's the reason that i had, add borax at the beginning. All other elements except gold, gathered in the melted borax. Yes you can, but you need to clean them first from other metals ... like silver, paladium, platinum, copper, or gems that maybe contain, and after that seperate them by the carats, like 10k 14, 18k , 22... etc. This process is costly, * extremely dangerous * because it requires the use of harsh chemicals and equipment , and you must have the knowledge to do. Also you need a very good acetyline torch, with at least 1500 celcius flame, And that is much expensive.

    • @jackfntwist
      @jackfntwist 3 года назад +1

      This is just melting gold that's already refined (pure / 24K). The borax just takes out some impurities from the process. You're talking about REFINING it into 24K first - which is a big process (look it up on RUclips). You can melt gold together from jewelry of the same karats, and if you have 24Kt gold then that is 99.99% pure already.

    Hi, there.First question *borax* is the white powder, question two,*hardware stores* or try *the internet* for local places or companies, who will post your goods on,question three,you should be able to buy burning equipment off *the internet* or a *large hardware store* look for plumbing equipment with unscrewable gas bottles,the cost is what they change in your area or country...G... Allegedly.In Britain the cost would be about £25.00+ I just use Plumbers equipment for burning gold,silver, Platinum, Palladium or *rhodium* that's a funny metal that's quite tricky sometimes, if they haven't got the temperatures right yet for *rhodium*. Palladium or platinum to put over gold rings to make them white metal rings 8k, 9k, 10k, 14k, 15k,and 18k...9/18/22 are British gold standards, we also do 22 carat,but it's rear to find evidence of anybody put white metal's on top of 22 carat gold... If I get any *rhodium* and I need to burn at a higher temperature just a few degrees higher maybe higher or lower than 75/120°c for this metal. Borax costs about £2.00+...G...

    Okay, using a bit of stuff I've learned from other places to fill in the blanks.
    It would appear that he put some flux into the crucible first, that way the gold wouldn't just get blown out by the torch or soak into the crucible (I don't know what it's made out of, and I doubt it would soak though, but that's just a guess), than he added the gold melted it down to a bead, than after it cooled enough to harden he plopped it into some water to quench it.
    I agree with a lot of the other comments saying that explanation is needed. I just got myself a crucible like that and a graphite mold, so I'm doing a bit of recherche on it, and this video wasn't very helpful.

    as far as I understand you are only connecting the gold particles. . This method is used with borax to separate it from other elements. But why use acid to decompose while this method is easy?

      it's not easy... natural gold it's not clear ...! .999 gold its man's made, does not exist in nature, for this reason you need borax. ( Borax IS NOT an acid... its Na,- Is natural mines salt )
