So cool that you’re able to play Henrik’s actual guitar he plays himself! Been an Evergrey fan for a long time, seem like really cool dudes and that you’d fit right in with them!
It's great to hear the rhythm guitars in a track, mixed, then to hear the solo'ed guitar only. We can all get hung up on making one guitar sound massive when we riff out at home, but how this guitar sounds by itself, one track, is the real deal. Sounds amazing!
Damn! That tone you got in this video 😍 Been playing Charvel guitars for more than 20 years and I own American, Japanese and Mexico made Charvels. Those guitars that are from the Mexican factory are really good and stable guitars.
Love the tone and playing my friend! I own one of these and there is just someone special about them and all of them are just a little different. Great post and video!!
I freaking love you man!! Everytime I ask myself "how does that guitar/pickup sound with a good amount of gain?" I hit your site - and boom you nail it every time. It's a joy to watch every time :)
I just ordered this guitar from sweetwater because of this video, I’d be very happy if I could get a tone anywhere close to that, thank you for the video, you are a great guitar player 👍
It would be very nice if you make a video "in the style of - henrik danhage" to show us, he has a cool way to play and write riffs. Great content! Cheers
Charvel has really been killing it. I tried a few of the DK's a couple of weeks ago, and they played really well. The specs you get for the price are pretty amazing.
I was kinda surprised about the DiMarzio in the neck and the switching system. Seems to work great though. Just watched the video by FU guitars as well and that sounds even better. One doesn't need all of the brass, titanium, D-tuna's and shit...but you CAN tell te difference. ;-) VonL
Why is that guitar so expensive, its made in Mexico (with all respects). I ve played on it and its a really great sounding guitar and plays like its your old favo guitar. Love the guitar!
Hi colleague . Nice guitar. I'm a fan of the Gilson lp Fender Stratocaster and the Ibanez js 1200. But I want to tell you that you have a very nice studio and equipment, especially the Marshall jcm 800 killer amplifier. It always sounds perfect in the mix. Cheers from Bulgaria.
The tone and technique in this video are truly impressive. I'm curious about the tuning used in this video? Personally, my guitar came with the Floyd Rose 1000 series as specified on the factory page. However, if you've ever owned the original Floyd Rose, you'll notice that the 1000 series is not quite the same, although it still gets the job done. I had to invest a lot of time into setting it up properly, fixing sharp frets, adjusting the neck angle, and making sure the bridge saddles followed the radius correctly, as it didn't come from the Mexican factory in optimal condition. Additionally, it was disappointing that a gig bag was not included, although I've heard they now provide one at least. Thank you.
Euge, DUDE... getting carried away on Henrik's toy, heh, heh!! I would too man! Yeah, Henrik is also a class act demon guitarist, one of my favorite shredders in my book. Always fun to see you shred as well.
I wonder what brand of pot Charvel uses in those Henrik guitars. I’ve found some push/push pots on Amazon, but they are either super cheap or fairly cool. Anyway I’ve always thought those were some cool guitars and wish I had been able to get one before the price increase. I want to experiment with that style pot on a single pickup beater more than likely switching between series/parallel on a 4 wire pickup.
Thank you so much for the amazing videos! The playing is so so good...... You are the biggest inspiration for me in the recent years. Would you care to do a video about the reason why you prefer Les Paul styles guitars over Strat apart from the difference between single coils and hum buckers? And I have never seen you play a 24 frets, is there a particular reason why?
Oh thanks man! Really glad to hear! I just feel like home with LP but I have a few Strats too and use them when a song / part calls for a Strat. Whatever does the job the best 👌. My 7 string guitars has 24 frets but I feel the most comfortable with 22. You know I know where the notes are without having to pay that much attention to my hands 🤟. My first guitar had 22 frets so I learned to play with that 😎.
I also dont like where the volume knob is on a strat. Turns out Warmoth sells a ‘Tom Delonge’ mod pick guard. Which moves the volume knob out of the way but keeps the others in place.
Nice video, Euge! I also have a Danhage Charvel and I have a question for you: Is the Duncan JB humming louder than the DiMarzio single coil under the same conditions or are both equally quiet? Maybe mine has a grounding issue, don't know yet and would love to hear from fellow Danhage users...
Thanks! Yeah since it’s a single coil the output isn’t as hot as with a humbucker so the amp gets a bit quieter signal and different amps (and how they’ve been dialled) reacts to that in different ways.
Hello! Thanks for the great video! What Marshall amp would you suggest to get for home use mostly? I want an amp that will be overdriven fast. I'm not looking for a pedal platform but more a dirty amp that i can control in manageable volume at home.
Next, let's be Jackson MJ Series Signature Misha Mansoor So-Cal 2PT Start.(long name)🙏 I think it's a very beautiful guitar. But rarely see anyone take a review. Thanks in advance, from Thailand 🙏🇹🇭🙂
So just to double check and make sure I understand correctly; you said that Henrik's personal axe was made in Mexico, right? Not a USA Custom Shop model?
Yeah the axe I use on this video is Henrik’s personal guitar which he borrowed to me. It’s bone stock what anyone can buy. Not Custom Shop or anything special. Great guitar indeed!
@@EugeValovirta230V Awesome! Thanks for the info and all the great videos. I just purchased a JCM 800 Studio Classic largely based on your recommendation and just the love in your eyes when you talk about your Bad Boy. Next, the Legendary Tones Lynch Mod.

Every time I hear “Hi, I’m Euge Valovirta”; my spouse ask me why I have a huge grin on my face. 🙏

That reverse headstock really does something to the look of that. Excellent video Euge. So many different tones with that.
Indeed. Thanks!
Great playing Euge! Humbucker - Single coil pickup setups look so cool.
Thanks!
This guitar looks great and sounds amazing 😍 , especially your crunch tone.
I just saw Judas Priest live on Oct 15. Andy Sneap was playing a Henrik Danhage superstrat throughout the show.

Absolutely crazy guitar ! I love it ! Thanks Euge

Thanks! I used it in the tuning it was when Henrik borrowed the guitar to me which was Drop-C. If I remember correct 😎.
Isn’t there a volume loss when changing pickups? Are you using compression to even it out?

Sure. I mean it’s all about the player and his / hers personal preferences 👌.
