Evergrey are one of the most Underrated bands out there. Theres everything from Alter Bridge sized anthems to multi layered gothic ,darkened atmospheric rock. Huge high emotive passionate rock music with soaring, sombre melodies and immense musicianship. Whatever genre of rock you like, Evergrey have something for everyone.
Exactly! I totally agree. I have no idea why there aren’t more guitars with that configuration. So many times I need to play a song with hard rhythm humbucker tones but would also love to be able to play creamier blues licks on the neck. I’ve tired spit coil neck pickups but its just not the same.
charvel won't offer anything. they have been pumping out pure dung since 2016 when they went to cheap fender style 2 piece, flat sawn maple necks. No production single humbucker models or HS configuration except for limited edition. We will never see these options because they want you to pay 3000k plus for a real charvel.
I love how authentic Henrik is, wrong notes and all. He’s been an inspiration to me since Recreation Day - almost 20 years! Congratulations on this beaut Henrik!
One of the most underrated rock guitarists ever. He could easily hold a candle to the other guitar heroes of the 80's. "The Explorer" is still to this day a proof of that.
Did anyone notice? That after he says 'I need a pick' and grabs a guitarpick, the next shot he's playing the signature model whereas before that moment he held his personal signature guitar. You can see it by the dark spots on the guitar neck which looks different and also because the guitar was hanging on the wall on the left back side before he got his guitar pick. Later in the video he switched back to his personal guitar. Nothing wrong with that, I just noticed. I got mine yesterday and all I can say is this is a killer axe!
I just bought this beautiful guitar from Sweetwater recently and love it!! The only thing that I changed was the frets to stainless steel, it is now perfect!
My friend Vic owns one, he put a killswitch on it as well. I used it tonight for metal covers and I'm playing it tomorrow night. I cannot wait!! It's a beast!!!
Just received mine today from sweetwater. Hands down for SW coming through, great service, and fast shipping. So far, I'm really liking this guitar. I love the fret size and neck size. Great for bending notes and vibrato. The guitar feels great in hands and body contours nicely. Tremolo arm is a bit noisy, the tone is pretty good. I think I'll be keeping this guitar for gigging. A pleasure to play on and carry around.
I’d love to own one of those guitars. He seems quite influenced by Eddie Van Halen.. but then again who isn’t. Awesome player and seems like a great guy.
Charvel is my favorite brand since 1986 when I bought my first, a model 2. I have a newer 2016 San Dimas with an SD and 59 hambuckers with a Floyd. Absolutely love it. Only thing I would add to your signature which is awesome is a recessed trem. Congrats on your signature axe Henrik 🎸🤘🏽
Love the analogy. And actually I would not classify these two musicians and players in worlds apart. IMHO, those two share some common ground and are trying to reach the same musical aim but from (not so) different backgrounds. All the best! Marc
Great video. I wasn't interested in it until now but seeing it in video made me change my mind within one second 😄 The fretboard and the reverse headstock look freaking amazing. Too expensive though, i'll wait for 2nd hands to get one.
What a shame! People bought all these up and are selling them for $3500.00 plus on Reverb. I hope CHARVEL, you are reading and reissue to stop these crooks, give the people whom want one a chance to own and to give this Artist; not only a chance to please his fans but another run. Thank you.
I own a USA San Dimas and Mexican pro mod BOTH are great guitars, just killer.. My 1 minor honest critique of this guitar is that the relic job is a bit "overdone"(just my honest opinion!) i wish they calmed down a bit on the relic job on his model again its a minor complaint, the guitar itself looks like a winner ... I like the pickups, neck, headstock, i would like to check 1 out
Sick guitar, Charvels bread and butter right there. Now they need to make a Star model similar to the two Henrik has! Those things are monsters and would throw my money at that in a heartbeat! Regardless, congrats Henrik!
At the beginning of production it was available as limited edition. Now it's available as a regular model. Can someone please explain whats the difference between the build years/versions regarding wood, quality, maybe different hardware, neck dimensions etc.. I really think about buying this guitar but it depends.
I would also love to know some of what your are asking for, as I would love to have one in my hands and as I am not seeing many of them second hand, I will have to buy it new.

The finishing quality is comparable to that of $400 guitars, yet this particular model is sold for $1700, and it didn't even come with a soft case initially. I am glad they include the soft case now. Additionally, the string action on this guitar is set quite high and cannot be easily adjusted due to design flaws or the lack thereof. The neck angle is not aligned perfectly with the body, leaving some space that requires shimming in order to fit properly. Moreover, since this model doesn't feature the original FR (Floyd Rose) bridge, there are issues with saddle height on the G and D strings, necessitating additional adjustments (shims under to level them or similar). The frets also have sharp edges that need to be fully polished. Despite these shortcomings, with some adjustments, the playability can be improved to a certain extent. However, it's important to note that the string action will never sit perfectly low without causing buzzing or compromising sustain. I have been able to achieve better results with any Fender American Standard (USA made) or an Ibanez RG or S Prestige (Japan made). Unfortunately, even after taking this Charvel guitar to one of the best luthiers in my area, it still falls short. Considering the price they are asking for this model, which is primarily based on its appearance, I don't believe it's worth the investment. You can find a similar guitar, such as the regular So Cal 1 model, for a much more reasonable price. But buy the one that is made in USA as these typically come with a proper setup before leaving the factory. It's disheartening to see that Charvel allows their Mexican factory to produce and ship more expensive guitars in such subpar condition.
