One of my favorite “at home” page removal tips is using a rotary cutter (like quilters use to cut fabric, the circle blade you pop in the handle) and it’s an easy way to remove multiple pages at a time, and you’re basically just removing the building like an office store would do). Works great!!
Awesome! I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying the disc binding, it’s addictive, I think - lol! I hope all is well with you m, my friend! Have a great week!
Hi Jasmine, it sounds like you’re already ahead of the game with the extra rings! I hope you’ll enjoy your coloring books more! Thanks so much for watching & commenting! ❤️
Just an FYI, Happy Planner did not invent the disc-bound system but they are the company that made it popular. I first saw disc notebooks in the 1980s from Levenger.
I disc bound some of my coloring books earlier this year using the Arc system that JI Colorist uses and love it! I can also laminate covers and dividers for my Happy Planner. :-)
thank you for this! My biggest reason to try this is that i’m right handed and i find i am not coloring pages on the left because it’s too awkward. This system would allow me to take the page out or flip the pages around to the back so that every page is a right hand page!! perfect!
Excellent! I hope you love this as much as I do! I’m the same…not too many left sided pages get done otherwise, lol! Let me know if you try it, & thanks for watching & commenting! ❤️
Thank you so much for this video. When you say I can take my book to an office store, did you mean an office supply store like Office Depot? I'm not exactly sure of what that means. Is there a specific company name I should look for?
Hi Dee! I’m so glad you found this helpful! I take mine to be cut at FedEx Office (formerly Kinkos), but yes - call any of those office supply stores that also make copies, and ask about it. I haven’t tried any others, but I’ll bet any of those big office stores offer this service. Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions. ❤️😊
@@BoBeanieCreates I think the office supply stores will charge a large amount for each book. Is there a certain type of company I should look for to get the great prices you did, like combining all books of the same size as one cut?
Hi Jeanie !!! Wow what a wonderful and informative video !!!!! Loved it!! You definately have me thinking about it , i also did watch Jodis video a while ago and thought it was so interesting, i had never heard of that idea before that, and now ya your thoughts really made me take a second look at it. Are you planning to disc bind all of your coloring books ? Or just the glue bound ones ? Thank you for letting me know that you tagged me so i could check it out asap, sorry for the late response, i have a bit of a cold so im behind on stuff. Hope you’re doing well! Looking forward to your next video !! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much for the idea to do the follow up video, it really helped me think about why I enjoy it so much. I won’t do all of them, probably not even all the glue bound ones, just the ones that bug me, lol. The ones that don’t lie flat well or are tough to color in the spine. I’ve done a lot though, lol. I’m so sorry you’ve been sick! Seems like lots of people around here have one thing or another. I hope you’re getting nice rest, & lots of fluids. No fun for sure. Take good care & thanks for the kind response! 🩷
Another tip to get discs for less is to buy happy planners that are on sale and just throw out the planner. Especially at the end of the year you can buy old planners at Joanns for like 70% off so that is another way to get discs.
Great tips but just wondering if you are right handed for example isn't it difficult to do the left hand page in the book? Don't the discs get in the way ?
Hi Patricia, thanks for watching and commenting. I'm right handed, and it doesn't get in the way unless the image is close to the discs, then I just pop it out of the book and color the page, if that makes sense, lol. ❤
It’s called the Outus Store & it’s the 1” discs. Thanks so much for watching, and let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck! I hope you love it as much as I do! 🩷

Great tip, thank you! I have a rotary cutter and mat - I’ll definitely need to try! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Big help.... thanks so much!
I’m so glad it was helpful! ❤️

Thanks for the update! Because of you sharing this project, I started disc binding some of my books and Inam hooked. Take care!🤗

You can still take the pages out of the book, even if they’re disc bound. It makes it even easier to color imo.
You sold me girl lol. I have been considering this for a while as well. Thank you so much for this video. What was the brand of discs on Amazon?

Thanks Jaimie! ❤️💕❤️
I'm not able to afford this option, how I wish I could. I just hole punch and put them in a binder. Maybe one day I will be able to afford this.
Cherry - it sounds like you’ve found a good solution, that’s awesome! 🩷
