It's often hard to find a battle you can show to non fans. Especially when there are a lot of battles that happen where you need to know the culture to get the references. As of late though my go to battle to introduce new viewers to the scene is Pat Stay vs. Danny Myers. It's got everything. From heavy haymakers to easy to follow bars and the humor is on point. Pat's second round often makes instant fans of battle rap for first time viewers. It's just sad and heartbreaking when I have to tell them Pat is no longer with us since they often want to see more. Fortunately he has a pretty extensive library of battles but nothing new which sucks.
You never know when it's your time. Give these entertainers and the people in your lives their flowers while they can still smell them. It costs nothing to show love.
