    I did the same on mine and was pleasantly surprised and baffled as well. Will still put some different shocks on at some point, and would.like to try the spoked rims Enfield is now offering for the Meteor, if they will fit. Good riding!

      Yes I think I will replace eventually also. But happy with this for now. Nitro gas ones are the popular fit in India. I just don’t want to buy any fake copy products though 🙏

    Been a while since I saw this vid😊
    I noticed many do complain about the stiffnes of the stock springs which made me catch up on the springs available. Since your's looked like progressive wound I can only assume when you increase the compression , the fine pitch on the bottom of the spring will get even smaller. The difference now is when riding it this part will get compressed to zero where the stock setting did not. Progressive springs are designed to have the fine pitch compressed. and get stiffer that's where the comfort comes from I guess...
    Not even sure if the loosest setting is correct for this bike and it got me thinking to upgrade front and rear suspension on my classic350 to Hyperpro.
    When I saw your belt vids I was looking for a belt for the Classic350. Having a Guzzi Griso (shaft driven) and Gates belt bicycle it was a no brainer to order this belt and buy a red/chrome one. I dislike chain maintenance and cleaning and if this belt was not an option I doubt I have bought a Classic after all... The belt is home but the bike next week it will never be ridden with chains and have a ceramic coating first.
    Because I do not see the benefits of engine tuning I do agree comfort is worth investing.

    Hi!
    To prevent damages to your rear suspensions, you should proceed with one setting at a time for each side. If you need more, repeat the process again.

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand
      @Teacher-T-Thailand  8 месяцев назад

      They are certainly made for adjusting. One comment says he has adjusted 4 notches and fins the ride soft. It all depends on your body weight.

    • @Jovunny
      @Jovunny 8 месяцев назад +2

      @@Teacher-T-Thailand Certainly. But the adjustment must be done step by step, one click at a time for each side until reaching number 4.

    I was shocked by the puns 😂. A good question though on why is it so. As I understand it, increasing the preload reduces the sag caused when the rider sits on the bike. The additional preload pushes the tyre down over big bumps at speed to maintain contact with the road surface and this makes for a smoother ride. Hope this helps.

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand
      @Teacher-T-Thailand  8 месяцев назад +2

      Definitely less bouncing, and smoothing over bumps. Better damping.

    • @PhilipBallGarry
      @PhilipBallGarry 8 месяцев назад

      @@Teacher-T-Thailand I also wonder if increasing the preload moves the range of movement away from it's normal position where it might be affected by stiction? I put two notches of preload on my Classic 350 (for pillion loading) but was surprised how it improved one up comfort too.

    Personally I'd advise a swap to the endurance gas shocks which are easily 20-30%better ride and at a good price taking maybe half an hour to do 😊👍🏻

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand
      @Teacher-T-Thailand  8 месяцев назад +1

      So many fake gas shocks here in Thailand containing no gas. Just a solid lump of aluminium stuck on the side. For now, it’s ok for me. But in the future May swap out. 🙏

      You may use classsic 350 bs4 model suspensions nitrox ones directly from showroom, I installed them in my meteor to overcome stiffness of stock ones.

    The reason for the same is not the coil, but the dampener. By making the adjustment, what has happened is that the coil and the dampener are better matching their tensions and hence are working better together.
    In the previous setting, the coil flexed, but the dampener would kick it back to position much faster than desired hence resulting in a rougher ride.
    That is precisely the reason RE allows you to adjust so that you can find your sweet spot. Now that you made the adjustment, forget the science and enjoy the ride.

    • @Teacher-T-Thailand
      @Teacher-T-Thailand  7 месяцев назад

      100% correct. Every person rider is different. 80kg or 180kg. The settings need adjusting to the ride. Happy riding ,🙏
