Great, look forward to your review on how these YSS shocks for SM650 turned out for you! Do let us know what the specs of these shocks are and where / how you got them…😊
Hi there. The following is YSS Australia web site with the Supermeteor 650 shocks available yssaustralia.com.au/filter?category_7=10&other_9=25&feature_11=101model-SUPER+METEOR+650&feature_12=2023&type=top The model I have is RZ362 set for rider over 100kg. I got mine from Twisted Moto www.twistedmotoparts.com.au/products/yss-rear-shocks-lowering-and-standard-super-meteor-650-rz362 There's a review video up on my channel Cheers
@franc5491 Thanks, Franc. Torque setting on both upper and lower bolts, 45Nm (33 ft/lb). Do the top bolt first and ensure that the shock can swivel, if too tight, reduce torque setting slightly, but I think you'll find it's good. Then bolt up the bottom bolt. Hope this helps. Cheers
Hay mate , I commented on a previous video of yours reference that I was moving to Tolga , moved in Wednesday, went for first ride yesterday. I have YSS rear shock on my CRF 300 Rally . Maybe catch up for a ride
Very cool. Welcome to the Atherton Tablelands. There's an email address in my YT profile. Flick me an email and we can exchange phone numbers and catch up. If you're on Instagram, you can DM me on moz42fnq. Cheers
The model number of the twin shocks I have is RZ362. Check the link below yssaustralia.com.au/filter?other_9=25&feature_11=101model-SUPER+METEOR+650&feature_12=2023&type=top
Bolts Torqued up to spec. Bolts haven't moved, this is old school and works well when done correctly and is how it was done before loctite was invented. The best use of loctite is engine covers where it is important to ensure that steel bolts do not undo when bolted to alloy parts. (you can't torque these up too much without causing damage to the alloy ) This ensures the seals hold and oil leaks are prevented. I also like the shocks. Ride well. Cheers
Check out this vid. ruclips.net/video/OQAOg2uDiCU/видео.htmlsi=NzUgtMJLpVyVD09p He suggested 13 ft/lb torque. Up to you is you if you want to use this setting. ER have not release a workshop manual for this model. Cheers
G'day, I got the rack from eBay. There are a number available out of India. Just about every Indian fabricator make racks for RE's. You need to ensure you get one for the Celestial, which has the touring seat and backrest. Cheers
These shocks are the same length as the standard shocks. However, they can be adjusted 10mm either way. You can purchase longer or shorter shocks if that is your requirement. For me, the front forks are just fine, and there is no need to adjust or change these. Hope this helps with your enquiry. Cheers
Totally lost track of time ... what day is it ... I was actually recording a video during the premier Looks good ... looking forward to hearing about the results ... top to bottom Cheers
One of the most important upgrades to any bike I reckon… good job mate. ✌️
It certainly is for the Super meteor. Cheers
Love how you call them shockies..🤗💜
That's Aussie English
, Auusierisum😁😂
On a Sportster, we call them “shockers”. Otherwise known as two bricks with a rubber band around it.
Great install, Moz. You made it look easy!
I cut out all the expletives 😁🫤. Cheers
Nice work, you made that look easier than it is. Hope it works well for you.
It's pretty straightforward. Mucking about with the camera makes the whole task longer. Cheers
A worthy upgrade. Top stuff mate!
Yes, it's a different bike now for the better. Thanks Stef. Cheers
Awesome!!!!!
Good job Moz. Can't wait to see how it rides. P.s. Great looking bike.
Thanks 👍Larry.
My gosh! Somebody actually uses a torque wrench! 🙌😂
Yeah, I'm old school.😂 Cheers
He didn’t even “click” his elbow.
I just upgraded my Super Meteor rears also. Except I got the all black. Same shocks though. Completely different bike now. So much better.
Yeah, so much better. Thanks for dropping in, Sargnort. Ride well. Cheers
Dude, you're a mechanichian, love it!
🤣🤣 now for my next trick.......
Hope it helps a lot Moz. Comfort is everything for me these days
Made a huge difference. Cheers, Rob.
Nice work Moz looking forward to the results 😎🤙🏻
Thanks, BB. Cheers
Great how you can adjust them more after you give them a try.
Absolutely! Cheers
Well I guess we'll have to come back and see how you like them!
Look forward to see you. Cheers
They look sweet mate very nice product 👍
Yeah, I like them. Cheers
Neat job. Thanks for sharing,
Thanks for watching! Cheers
Great job on the installation. I'm sure it will ride like a new bike now when you get them dialed in. Are there any plans for the front fork springs?
Thanks, Eric. I feel the front forks are fine. The goal was to save my back, and bum 😁, from a pounding. Cheers

Hello Moz. Nice vid. From Moz😉
Thanks, Moz 😁👍
awesome video
Thanks for the visit
Nice work & thanks a lot for the video. What is the torque value you set for upper & lower bolts.?
@franc5491 Thanks, Franc. Torque setting on both upper and lower bolts, 45Nm (33 ft/lb). Do the top bolt first and ensure that the shock can swivel, if too tight, reduce torque setting slightly, but I think you'll find it's good. Then bolt up the bottom bolt. Hope this helps. Cheers

Lazy does as lazy did. NO LOCTITE ( BLUE)! Do like the shocks.

Curious what luggage rack you are using with your RE Touring Seat and Backrest?
Looking forward to the new shocks evaluation video.

How do the new shocks compare? Are you happy with them?
All will be revealed in the next part. But, just between you and me....awesome. 😁Cheers
are this 23mm lengthier and yes
any mods to do on front forks to smoothen handling

No loctite old mate.
Correct. Torqued up with a locknut, loctite isn't necessary. I will monitor, however. Cheers
