I don't think he was touched to be perfectly honest. YES HE WAS. Classic. But what a player Nigel Pearson was. It's a pity he had all those injury problems because he was the best defender in the country my opinion. He would have played for England. A bit like David Hirst really. 2 unluckiest players.
I just remember the opening games of that season... especially the opening game at Ipswich and the hull game the Leicester game... i don't think I've ever seen Wednesday play better than that...not even with waddle... sublime at Ipswich one touch football the ball never leaving the ground with king and Worthington playing like Brazilian wing backs...
Might get back in another 30 years by which time I'll be fertiliser. I asked my then neighbour if I could watch it at their house so I can only think it wasn't on terrestrial.
What Legends!!! The perfect tonic for the lockdown...and our miserable time as an Owl!!

"I can't see what's wrong with that... I don't think he was touched" The most stupid commentary of all time :D
Yes! I was there, in the crowd at the other end when Sheridan scored, hugging a girl sat next to me who I’d never met.
That roar at 12:51
Goosebumps
Well, THAT lifted my spirits! 😊 Up the Owls!
Will we ever get to a cup final again?
Ask again in 30 years time.

I was there at the other end but you could hear Sheridan's shot hit the post it went that quiet...what a great day out
Listened to match Via The BBC WorldService on ShortWave Radio. Couldn't hear The Dink on the radio broadcast.

I was right behind the goal at the other end and still remember that iconic noise as the ball went in off the post as if it was yesterday. WTID
