    Thank you so much! I've been struggling with the remote for months, just assuming it was beyond repair. Batteries were fine, it was sending a signal but nothing seemed to work. I power cycled the bar like you mentioned and it worked like a charm. Thanks again

    Dude, thank you so much. I am now also part of the Step 4 club. I did exactly what you said and it worked like a charm. I wish they had this trick in the troubleshooting section of the manual instead of the most obvious damn things...i.e. "Change the batteries" 🙄. Thank you!!

    Like most people, step 4 fixed it for me. Thanks so much! I realized I had mistakenly connected my sound bar to Bluetooth which caused my remote to stop controlling the volume, power, etc. Needless to say, I have a wired connection to my TV.

    Unplug the soundbar. Wait a few seconds. Plug back in. This worked for me.

    Thanks! I had to cycle down my unit. I was about to file a claim with my extended warranty but you saved me a lot of time. In addition, sadly, the support page on my Vizio soundbar never mentions power cycling down the unit to fix the issue. The last comment is simply "you need a new remote."

    My issue is nothing comes up on the remotes lcd. It's completely blank. The remote works fine. I even purchased another remote and it had the same issue. No LCD display on the remote. Not sure what the problem is.

      @@joshdigello243 I have not found a fix for the remote. I factory reset the sound bar as well. The remotes screen doesn't show anything, including on a brand new remote. Only thing it allows me to do is turn it on/off and adjust the volume.
      Thankfully I did find a work around. Download the Vizio Smartcast Mobile app and you'll be able to adjust and tweak all the audio settings via the app. Saved me from buying a new soundbar.

    Hell yeah! Power-cycling the remote fixed it for me.
    Thought I was going crazy as it was sending IR just fine (tested with a cell phone camera), replacing the batteries didn't work. Tried power-cycling and factory resetting the sound bar and even enabled/disabled remote functionality and none of that worked.

    I pressed the blue tooth button and now I can't use the remote. I have powered it off, I followed your directions for resetting and nothing. It does power on an off but nothing else.
