Sarah Scantlin defied medical convention, when she woke after being in a coma-like State for 20 years. Never before in medical history has somebody been in a coma-like state for so long and started speaking again.

I can't really express what I am feeling. Joy that Sarah came back. That her Parents and Best Friend got to interact and speak with her again. I also feel real sadness for her loss of the wonderful life she was planning. That her Parents felt pain like I can only imagine, and were devastated financially by this event. Her Friend, the loss of her Sister. There one minute, gone the next.
Life can change in a heartbeat. I am reminded to appreciate things I take for granted, the people I love.

I believe that her awakening was a miracle point blank and it's awesome and incredible and inspiring

@@tisketisja5528 I was in a coma when I was 17. From a car wreck. It was a medically induced coma because I had a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). They put me into a coma to let my brain heal. I am so happy that they did not give up on her. Miracles can and do happen. By the way, I was 3 months pregnant when I had my car wreck and I gave birth close to my due date to a healthy baby boy. I wasn't in a coma for 20 years, but for me having to relearn how to do basic stuff like walking and swallowing liquid and food was hard. It's going to take a lot of work, but it can be done.
