His statement about the first marriage was incorrect the first marriage is found in Genesis 2: 18-25 with Adam and Eve. Gods law doesn’t change, he established that way. If not he would took out multiple ribs and said Adam here our your wives in plural sense. I’m not sure what truth he states that he found because this sounds like he’s subscribing to another wind of doctrine.

Smh I not sure how you isolated that scripture without getting context from chapter 3 to explain that verse. Please be careful taking a stance on something without proper context on the Bible verses. @@vetothedon5 Moses had multiple wives but what was the reason behind it. Also David had multiple wives before he wanted another mans wife. I guess him having multiple wives wasn’t enough for him to take another wife. What resulted in that matter drama and him forfeiting his right to build the temple which was giving to his son Solomon. But once again the reason for multiple wives in those times was because women could not fend for themselves or they would be slaves, prostitutes etc, property. Women were uneducated and not held in high regards compared to now. This is for historical purposes .

i have my OWN people but that isnt just one person they area group of people. the word own has multiple meanings go look up the words that were translated. the word for the woman was single meaning she can only have one man . but for the man it was plural meaning.the same context. as having my own people(multiple people seen as one) and having my OWN family. multiple kids and a wife all seen as ONE unit.

The greek words for "own" are different in this verse, one implies the man owns the wife, she is his possession exclusively like his "own arm" while the greek word used for the wife's "own" indicates corporate or shared ownership, much like her "own hometown" or her "own parents" (imagine she has siblings, it's still "her own mom" even though it's also her 3 siblings mom too). So it's important that we don't read the English and automatically assume that the meanings are equal, this is why Paul chose to use different greek words I would imagine, to align with the scripture prior which clearly indicates that a woman exclusively belongs to the man, but the man does not exclusively belong to a woman.

To whom were these contracts submitted to authorize and approve of a marriage? Did the Israelites have to submit paperwork to the Romans, Greeks, Persian/Mede, Babylonian, Egyptians to get a marriage license to validate their marriages? NOPE. These contracts your referring to were between the father of the bride and the soon to be husband. Whether she’d be promised to him, dowry agreements, etc.. Not to “legally” validate a marriage. To whom did Jacob, David, Solomon, Gideon, Abijah, Lamech, Rehoboam, etc. who all had multiple wives, file their paperwork to “legally” be married? Book, chapter and verse..

Instead of asking if Polygeny is a sin, I wish our people would start asking themselves why does God allow Polygeny. Why is it lawful? Do you not understand that the laws of God are the constitution and bill of rights for the Kingdom of Israel? This is what they govern themselves by. This is what God govern them by. To keep confusion from among his people by keeping a man's children and the women thereof under one headship (1 Timothy 5:8, Proverbs 22:6 Deuteronomy 11:16-19, & 1 Timothy 3:5). To keep a woman that desires to wear a man's masculinity, sexuality, and headship from among the children of God/vice versa (Proverbs31:3, Deuteronomy 22:5, Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:24-32, 1 Corinthians 11:3), and the list goes on family. I ask you all, when did that change? The law is righteous and will always be righteous. Your unrighteousness doesn't change that. In fact, it's why you must die. God made marriage the rule of Law in all the earth (Genesis,1 , 2, 9, Psalm 24:1, etc). Polygeny is marriage, and marriage is honorable in all (Hebrews 13:4). Even if you were taken as a servant wife God still honors you (Exodus 20:10 & Exodus 21:7-10). A restriction given to a Bishop or Deacon is not an implication of sin. Just as there is law specific to women and some specific to men. Their is law specific to a King and some for a prophet. If you do not hold these positions/work in your lifetime, these laws do not apply to you. Concerning Deuteronomy 17:14-20 this is law pertaining to Kings, not to all men. We live in a nation where most men live by its culture, customs, and laws instead of the word/law of God (Matthew 4:4, Matthew 15:3, Acts 5:29, etc..). What they practice here is fornication and is ungodly (Revelation 21:18). Polygeny can never be a sin, because by God's decree: sin is the disobedience to the laws of God (1 John 3:4). They cannot grasp this because they do not understand the Kingdom (Matthew 13:11) because they have no respect/honor for the laws of God. For the constitution, the bills if rights, the civil and moral laws given to Israel. Even the penal codes thereof. They only know a democracy, a republic, communism, socialism, etc... What they can vote in and out. Some man-made stuff. They do not know or honor the Kingdom of God is the government setup over heaven and earth ( Isaiah 9:9, Matthew 3:2, Luke 10:9, Matthew 7:24-25). They lack knowledge that all the word/decrees of the King is law and is lawful (Deuteronomy 8:3, Psalm 119:89, Matthew 24:35). They lack this understanding to be able to apply or divide the word of God rightly. As for divorce, Christ in Matthew 19 said it best: In the beginning, it wasn't so. The beginning being "Genesis." No man in the bloodline of Christ in Genesis divorced his wife or wives. God didn't give Adam another wife. Jacob endured his son laying with one of his wives and kept them both among him. Abraham was told by God to move out the bond woman and his son by God. He didn't choose to. No one ever put away their wives lawfully until the law of Moses. This is what it means when said but Moses. Before the law of Moses, divorce was never lawful for the lineage nor the children of Israel. You never see it throughout time until God allows Moses to give it. That's when it becomes lawful. This is what Christ is saying. He's dealing with divorce. It's not Christians who are confused. It's all men who do not understand that which Christ has preached throughout his whole ministry was purely the word of God. The main thing and focus of his message, is "The Kingdom" Which he mentions over a 100 times throughout his gospels. These men and women are of this world and worldly minded. Ever learning but unable to come to the truth of God (2 Timothy 3:7). Still focused on the intent of God and never moving with God into the purpose of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13 & 1 John 5:3). Allowing sin to rule the day instead of his son. Christ gives God what he intended to get out of mankind. If God could get the perfection he desires out of the children of Adam, he would not have sent another. Be wise family and let God be true & every man a liar.

A man (married) sleeping with another unmarried or unbetrothed woman is not adultery, one would argue that is fornication, still a sin, but not adultery. Adultery is clearly defined biblically and has severe consequences. A married woman has to be involved. A man with more than 1 wife is not committing adultery, they are his wives, and he's commanded to give them their marital rights. Isaiah 58:1

His statement about the first marriage was incorrect the first marriage is found in Genesis 2: 18-25 with Adam and Eve. Gods law doesn’t change, he established that way. If not he would took out multiple ribs and said Adam here our your wives in plural sense. I’m not sure what truth he states that he found because this sounds like he’s subscribing to another wind of doctrine.
Isaiah chapter 3-4 is literally this saith the LORD prophecies of before the kingdom...Isaiah 4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

@@Shachaawar Context is everything, you do know that in Isaiah chapter 3:16-26 it was Gods judgement on Jerusalem and Judah for there disobedience, which would result of there men dying Isaiah 3:25 and women would be so desperate to marry and wouldn’t require nothing from there husbands so by taking there name was enough to take away the reproach of not being married or childless.
Smh I not sure how you isolated that scripture without getting context from chapter 3 to explain that verse. Please be careful taking a stance on something without proper context on the Bible verses. Good giving Isaiah this prophecy is not talking about polygamy validation, it’s explaining a deeper manner.

@@vetothedon5 Moses had multiple wives but what was the reason behind it. Also David had multiple wives before he wanted another mans wife. I guess him having multiple wives wasn’t enough for him to take another wife. What resulted in that matter drama and him forfeiting his right to build the temple which was giving to his son Solomon. But once again the reason for multiple wives in those times was because women could not fend for themselves or they would be slaves, prostitutes etc, property. Women were uneducated and not held in high regards compared to now. This is for historical purposes .

1 Corinthians 7:2 says "Nevertheless, TO AVOID FORNICATION, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband". Imagine that!!!
i have my OWN people but that isnt just one person they area group of people. the word own has multiple meanings go look up the words that were translated. the word for the woman was single meaning she can only have one man . but for the man it was plural meaning.the same context. as having my own people(multiple people seen as one) and having my OWN family. multiple kids and a wife all seen as ONE unit.
AZTL if it meant more than one wife, then it would have said wives. Look that up. Today, more than one wife does not apply....being that we are not yet in our own land and the fact that a black man can't take care of more than one wife financially. The greek words for "own" are different in this verse, one implies the man owns the wife, she is his possession exclusively like his "own arm" while the greek word used for the wife's "own" indicates corporate or shared ownership, much like her "own hometown" or her "own parents" (imagine she has siblings, it's still "her own mom" even though it's also her 3 siblings mom too). So it's important that we don't read the English and automatically assume that the meanings are equal, this is why Paul chose to use different greek words I would imagine, to align with the scripture prior which clearly indicates that a woman exclusively belongs to the man, but the man does not exclusively belong to a woman.

Instead of asking if Polygeny is a sin, I wish our people would start asking themselves why does God allow Polygeny. Why is it lawful? Do you not understand that the laws of God are the constitution and bill of rights for the Kingdom of Israel? This is what they govern themselves by. This is what God govern them by. He has never allowed them to sin! Neither has he had laws of sin written by his righteousness. No one is forced to marry or not marry.
You have the free will to marry how you please. God will judge all things by his word/law. But please stop saying women who choose to marry one man are sinning. God allows Polygeny because he is against sin. He gave Polygeny/marital law to put away all manner of fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18). To put away whoredom (using women as one does a whore) from among the children of God (Deuteronomy 23:17). To put away all manner of sexual immorality (Exodus 22, Leviticus 21, & Deuteronomy 22).
To keep confusion from among his people by keeping a man's children and the women thereof under one headship (1 Timothy 5:8, Proverbs 22:6 Deuteronomy 11:16-19, & 1 Timothy 3:5). To keep a woman that desires to wear a man's masculinity, sexuality, and headship from among the children of God/vice versa (Proverbs31:3, Deuteronomy 22:5, Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:24-32, 1 Corinthians 11:3), and the list goes on family. I ask you all, when did that change? The law is righteous and will always be righteous. Your unrighteousness doesn't change that. In fact, it's why you must die.
God made marriage the rule of Law in all the earth (Genesis,1 , 2, 9, Psalm 24:1, etc). Polygeny is marriage, and marriage is honorable in all (Hebrews 13:4). Even if you were taken as a servant wife God still honors you (Exodus 20:10 & Exodus 21:7-10). A restriction given to a Bishop or Deacon is not an implication of sin. Just as there is law specific to women and some specific to men. Their is law specific to a King and some for a prophet. If you do not hold these positions/work in your lifetime, these laws do not apply to you. Concerning Deuteronomy 17:14-20 this is law pertaining to Kings, not to all men.
We live in a nation where most men live by its culture, customs, and laws instead of the word/law of God (Matthew 4:4, Matthew 15:3, Acts 5:29, etc..). What they practice here is fornication and is ungodly (Revelation 21:18). Polygeny can never be a sin, because by God's decree: sin is the disobedience to the laws of God (1 John 3:4). They cannot grasp this because they do not understand the Kingdom (Matthew 13:11) because they have no respect/honor for the laws of God. For the constitution, the bills if rights, the civil and moral laws given to Israel. Even the penal codes thereof. They only know a democracy, a republic, communism, socialism, etc... What they can vote in and out. Some man-made stuff. They do not know or honor the Kingdom of God is the government setup over heaven and earth ( Isaiah 9:9, Matthew 3:2, Luke 10:9, Matthew 7:24-25). They lack knowledge that all the word/decrees of the King is law and is lawful (Deuteronomy 8:3, Psalm 119:89, Matthew 24:35). They lack this understanding to be able to apply or divide the word of God rightly.
As for divorce, Christ in Matthew 19 said it best: In the beginning, it wasn't so. The beginning being "Genesis." No man in the bloodline of Christ in Genesis divorced his wife or wives. God didn't give Adam another wife. Jacob endured his son laying with one of his wives and kept them both among him. Abraham was told by God to move out the bond woman and his son by God. He didn't choose to. No one ever put away their wives lawfully until the law of Moses. This is what it means when said but Moses. Before the law of Moses, divorce was never lawful for the lineage nor the children of Israel. You never see it throughout time until God allows Moses to give it. That's when it becomes lawful. This is what Christ is saying. He's dealing with divorce.
It's not Christians who are confused. It's all men who do not understand that which Christ has preached throughout his whole ministry was purely the word of God. The main thing and focus of his message, is "The Kingdom" Which he mentions over a 100 times throughout his gospels. These men and women are of this world and worldly minded. Ever learning but unable to come to the truth of God (2 Timothy 3:7). Still focused on the intent of God and never moving with God into the purpose of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13 & 1 John 5:3). Allowing sin to rule the day instead of his son. Christ gives God what he intended to get out of mankind. If God could get the perfection he desires out of the children of Adam, he would not have sent another.

When one of you miss something the other catches it. Instead of you working four to five days a week trying to maintain an income along side your husband while you cook and clean. You each could easily work a part time job twice a week and share the house work leaving more time for you and your peace of mind. The overall foundation would be stronger and better. A man (married) sleeping with another unmarried or unbetrothed woman is not adultery, one would argue that is fornication, still a sin, but not adultery. Adultery is clearly defined biblically and has severe consequences. A married woman has to be involved. A man with more than 1 wife is not committing adultery, they are his wives, and he's commanded to give them their marital rights. None of that changed in the NT, and mistranslated and misused church elder requirements lists don't do it either.

What verses back up the belief that a man can and should have multiple wives, please don’t give only one verse.
ephesians 5 v25 / Matthew 25 vs 1
Can is one thing, should is another. Should would be based on God's mission for that man and his ability to cover. If he can't properly cover for more than 1, he should not. Ex 21:10 legislates that.
