  • Hi friends. Let's talk MODESTY. Modesty is a very important component of walking with Jesus and we're on this journey with you. We speak on what the Bible says about modesty, where we're at with it, what modesty used to look like for us. We touch on social media and dealing with comments. We answer some of your questions as well.
We love you so much and Jesus loves you even more.

This reminds me of when I got pregnant at 18 un married , and my mom’s Sunday school class refused to throw a baby shower, visit me at the hospital, and kicked me out of the group. I felt so shamed that I never returned to that church. I wish people would remember that Jesus went to the adulterer and the woman at the well to heal and help them. Jesus went to the sinners to show love, compassion, and forgiveness! That’s why we should always ask what would Jesus do? We will all continually fall short of the glory of God, but Christians are here to love, encourage, and help one another grow, not judge from a cruel jealous place. Too many Christians weaponize and hide their jealousy and misery behind Christ and judgement towards others, which turns people away from, not towards God. ❤ Thanks for this amazing message, ladies!

I’m so sorry you went through that. That had to feel so terrible and dismissive. Christians need to realize if we want women who find themselves in these situations not to choose things like abortion, we need to do a better job showing love and caring for these mothers.

Please understand that it is their right to abide in their Faith.
Remember it was your mistake not there's and they had no obligation as you were not a member of the Church.
Faith is not inherited from a family member and the Church is not there for non believers but believers.
The Church is open for those who want to hear the word and abide in it.
It is not to compromise Jesus teaching and that means not to pull words out of context for our purposes.
As my former pastor said, if you have been going to the church for let's say 5 years and are in the same spiritual place We Need to Talk.

This podcast was essential! I was born in a Christian household, my dad's a Pastor, and growing up in a conservative church, I was thought to not wear pants, makeup, earrings and be modest.
But I became a judgemental person, I mistook modest for being holy.
The Holy Spirit started showing me how wrong I was.
God had told my dad to leave the church we were in. Like the ministry we were in.
He prayed so much and God putted us in a ministry where there were many people from different cultures and different missionary background.
There one day at the church service, As I was singing, I looked at all the women, they were wearing makeup, jeans and jewelry buy they were praying and worshipping.
Then the holy spirit in my heart said They are my daughters how dare you judge your own sisters.
I felt so ashamed and from that point on I decided to change.
Modesty is not only on clothes, the appearance but it starts from within us. Inside first and the outside will be a reflection of whats inside of us.
Seeing you two talking about how God has changed and is changing you both is the same as he did to me but I was on the opposite side of the spectrum.
    Thank you girls ❤❤❤❤

Yes but some girls are only willing to become modest after they’ve put on layers of make up and tight clothes sticking to their bosoms. And on holiday they’ll easily wear a bikini set saying “oh it’s normal to wear a bikini on the beach”
So after doing all these things they then argue they are modest whereas all day they’ve been encouraging sexual want and attention.

Our generation needs you. Two beautiful, strong, young, ambitious and relatable people with enough courage to bring hope and light to the lost. To those who don't feel worthy of God's love and grace because they too, have a dark past. (Which.. don't we all?). The big difference between you two and most new believers is your guy’s lives are on public display for everyone to see. It’s called “born again” for a reason. You aren’t born and then immediately running!? No you have to learn how to walk. That takes time. It’s trial and error. No one walks perfectly with God but especially in the beginning. OF COURSE, you’re going to be criticized by people more so than others. I think it’s wonderful and inspiring how humble and genuine you both have been through it all. I’ve seen some not so nice comments too!! Yet you both have been kind and patient. Regardless of what you’re wearing, that says a lot about your hearts. Love you both!! ❤

Thank you thank you thank you Ladies! I am a curvaceous girl and have recently lost a lot of weight which make my curves show a little more no matter what I put on. I recently wore a dress to church that was down past my knees, no cleavage and with a blazer. Some of the feedback was that I was dressed inappropriately. It honestly hurt my feelings because it was simply because of my shape. I was so distracted during service and I didn't stand up during praise and worship because I was subconscious about my back side. It wasn't until my first lady approached me and told me how cute I was and that she was proud of me for taking care of my body. She told me to keep my head up and never let anyone body shame you again.

Really glad I found this podcast. Normally, the topic of modesty from Christian podcasters is so lame, because it’s always from those super Americanized Christians who grew up in Americanized Christian homes who preach this topic with the typical cliches you hear anywhere you would at most Christian denominational churches.
But this was very good. And I knew it would be coming from y’all because ya’ll get deep, vulnerable and very real! I rarely see Christians speak on areas they feel personally vulnerable or possibly convicted about.
There’s something really special about you two. I feel a power anointing from God when I listen to you two speak. I think it’s because you truly understand the heart of God. And that’s be honest, vulnerable, caring, and sincerely loving to each other. God loves humble and honest hearts, whose only concern is to spread love and truth.
And nobody is ever going to be perfect. We can’t truly help anyone is we ever try to be perfect for fear of how others treat us or think about us.
But this message was surprisingly very thought-provoking for me. Y’all kept making great points that kept challenging my current opinions on the topic.
However, in my personal opinion, what the heck is wrong with crop-tops? Showing belly? (God forbid). Give me a break. Do we ever give men a hard time about being shirtless? Lol.
And also, so what if starred in American Horror Story? I’m a Christian. I was a scare-actor at Halloween Horror Nights, Orlando. But I’ve helped get more people to accept Christ than most of my friends I know at church.
Should Christians really avoid acting in Hollywood??? Did Jesus avoid sinners? Did he avoid being a witness in evil places and cultures? Angela could be a powerful example in Hollywood. How many Christians do you see in her position? But maybe there are lots of Christians in Hollywood, but keep it to themselves for fear of being judged. Also, maybe a lot of Hollywood actors decide not to follow Christ anymore because they get judged so heavily by other Christians and feel they are not “perfect” enough to be Christian. So they turn away from God entirely! Is that what Christians want for their fellow brothers and sisters? “Christians” need to give themselves heart checks before they go around criticizing every Christian that’s not living by their ultra holy Americanized church standards. Remember, this was how the pharisees behaved! And Jesus called them out on it!

Loved this video! 🙌What I have learned in my walk with Jesus and felt like I can share with you after this video is that no matter our size/shape/proportions as daughters of God we must try and help our brothers and sisters in Christ to not be a stumbling block.
So for myself I cannot wear shorter dresses because I'm on the taller side, so its always a bit too short, but I know for other ladies in Christ, they can wear shorter dresses because they are shorter and it does not show too much to lead any man to lust or sin. Same goes for cleavage, I feel no conviction wearing lower cut tops (still thinking about if its is honouring the Lord) since I'm more on the smaller size compared to ladies I know who won't wear the same lower cut top because it will show too much and might be a stumbling block for others.
As women and men of God I believe we must consider our brothers and sisters in Christ and even non believers and adjust our clothing accordingly, so if you are curvy or not, tall or short, either way make sure we don't use our body size as excuse to something we know might cause others to stumble/sin.
That being said I do believe clothing is a very personal thing to talk to the Lord about and as we grow He will convict us in different ways about different things meant for us individually and everybody's walk will look different.
For me I was a believer for 6 months and had been to the beach a few times wearing a bikini and a few days later I felt conviction about it, and I now wear other swimming costume styles to the beach. That is not something God spoke about in the Bible for all women but rather to me personally. 💓

As a person who’s struggled with seeing the role that makeup fits in my life, I realized that yes, I love makeup, but we as Christians cannot use that as our shield/amor. God is our shield. We are already in god’s image without makeup, we shouldn’t use makeup as a way to cover/alter our natural features. We should use makeup as a way to embrace our features rather than cover them up because we are fearfully and wonderfully made, whether we have makeup on or not. Again, I know the stronghold that makeup can have, I grew up wearing makeup for performances as an actor and dancer. What helped me is to take a makeup break….it really helped me to embrace my face And Opened my eyes that I didn’t need makeup to feel beautiful. If you guys ever feel compelled to do so, I encourage it 🫶I only mean this out of love, no judgement. May god bless you both.

In high school I wasn't living my life for God yet and I obviously dressed to impress others and even get attention like most teenagers do. I truly committed myself to God when I turned 20. It has been the most beautiful walk since then because I'm never alone and I do not crave attention from the world anymore. As I committed myself more to the holy spirit I care less and less about my "glory" and more about God's glory. Now I consider myself a modest woman. Not perfect, not "holier than thou" kinda attitude but I can say that I have put off my desire for attention. A lot of people get convicted by the Holy Spirit but don't listen and try to push it away because let's be honest nobody likes to feel like they need to change something. Whether that's a heart issue or the way you dress I just want to encourage you not to push away God's loving conviction. We don't need to try to cling to worldly standards "as close as it's still okay" with God if that makes sense. I always want to dress beautiful, not s*xy, not sensual, not promiscuous. A person dressed with respect is far more beautiful than someone dressed for attention.
Now, if I see someone dressed immodest I actually feel bad for them. They probably don't know the Lord. They probably don't have peace inside their heart and they're looking for attention or trying to fit in. We need to pray for them in that moment and remember where we once were and how God can completely change them too. God bless you reading this❤

We are all in our own walk. What matters is that we want to study and always learn. So the fact that you both have that heart posture to want to constantly learn, that’s what matters. Don’t listen to the haters. God bless you both, and truly, welcome to the faith.

    Hey Double AA!
I'm so proud of you dear Sisters. 👏Jesus is very proud of you too!
This comment will be long but full of encouraging truth from His word.
First, know that the Romans did not kill Jesus. It was the spirit of religion. Legalism and desire for control are powerful forces in the hands of the enemy. I'm sorry you've been dealing with verbal toxicity. Our words even tough truths must be spoken in love:
Ephesians 4:15 ~Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
Ephesians 4:29 ~Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
We all make mistakes, but those of us who have walked with Jesus longer need to be especially patient with younger believers. My heart hurt for you Ang when you shared the comments that led to the enemy filling your mind with thoughts that you may not be a real Christian. 😢 Lies straight from the pit of hell. You are a mighty woman of God and a Deborah for this generation! Don't even doubt this for one second!
Romans 14:1 ~Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.
John 8:44 ~For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
    Philippians 1:6 ~being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
I did have my doubts when I watched the first episode. I genuinely wanted you to be real and prayed for God to bless the podcast if it would be used for His glory and shut it down if not. The growth we've seen in you both has been aaaamaazing! You haven't catered to false progressive Christianity and the doctrines that tickle ears aka doctrine of demons. You have genuinely expressed a faith of growing and comitted discipleship in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. This is uncommon even for folks who've been in church their whole lives.
Thoughts on modesty. You ladies did a fantastic job sharing biblical truth and vulnerable thoughts on a controversial subject. The process of changing habits and convictions we've held for our entire lives is difficult, especially when you are new to the faith. What we wear is a big deal. This is a tougher struggle for sisters in Christ. There are many Christian women putting out great content on how to dress to honor Jesus. Keep looking to scripture and please consider pursuing mentorship and fellowship from trusted Christian influencers who are further along in the faith and in this unique digital calling.
1 Samuel 16:7 ~But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
    1 Timothy 2:9 ~like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
John 7:24 ~Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Thanks for constantly saying that you want to do right by God and right by your listeners.

You have been given this platform for such a time as this. Know that while you will encourage many who are currenly not in the faith and those new to the faith, there are many of us who've loved Jesus for a stretch, who are praying for you and rooting you on! 🙏🔥🕊✝🙌

Having you Ladies do this video and involved with this channel seems so natural and important.
The question is how do very exceptionally gorgeous and beautiful woman comport themselves in public as sisters totally involved with Jesus Christ as Lord ?
That subject hardly comes up but is uppermost in mind whenever any Christians meet or see you.
Beauty can be a very good thing yet can also be a terrible hindrance. It is an important thing to speak about because I have a beautiful wife and have a beautiful daughter and now have 4 really gorgeous grandchildren. I trust the Lord to guide my grandchildren as He did with my wife and child.
They are all quite good about treating their beauty as circumstantial and unimportant. It depends on maturity.
I really appreciate your very needed show.

You guys get “Hate” because u both are pretty. I’m Not saying it’s impossible, but it’s extremely rare to see two woman of your caliber saved and going to church. The perception is most women that look like you two don’t go to church. Also at the same time, your dealing with over scrutinizing Christians that are coming off more harsh to you both than a non believer. The sad thing is that instead of judging you both, they should be celebrating God with praise for the ministry you are representing for King Jesus. Most people in the church are like the Pharisees - Judgmental and accusatory. Last thing, There are some settings that need more modesty than others - but all in all I see no problems with the way you both dress.

I’m learning to not judge people by their SM posts. The enemy wants us to tear each other apart this way. Remember, he was the first to sin, the first to divide, and he constantly accuses the saints (Rev 12:10). Although Paul writes specifically about modesty, purity, marriage, parenting, divorce, and so many other things, let's be patient with each other as we each grow in Christ and develop Godly standards and convictions. Some of us deal with our struggles publicly and some privately. I’m more worried about the Christians who accuse others but are oblivious to these standards themselves.

My 14 years experience with God: Ask God for Divine Love, will come through Holy Spirit and you will have feeling inside you of God presence (ask God sincere with feeling in side of you that you want to receive Divine Love) and only Divine Love can remove sin from your soul and learn us how God see world , nothing else, to go in haven you need to receive Divine Love 24/7 as Jesus did and because of that Jesus said all sin will be forgiven but not against Holy Spirit (because when you rejected Holy Spirit you reject Divine Love and sin cannot be removed from your soul so you cannot go to heaven).
This will help you to solve all problems in life.

Girls, I love your platform and what you’re doing. No doubt you’re going to reach a lot of young girls and be an influence to them. I wish you success on being a conduit for God and reaching the lost in general. A couple of things I’ve noticed that you might want to consider is number one, you mention a female pastor and her sermons but according to God’s word, women can’t be pastors, and we’re not to follow them. They can be teachers in a class setting, but not pastors giving sermons. Men are in the leadership role. It’s not a popular viewpoint in this politically correct age but then political correctness is wrong, and who cares about it? We all care about what God says, right? The second thing I noticed that you might want to consider is when you talked about how you dress for your profession as models and actresses posing in your pictures. In reality, God is supposed to influence our work life, too, and modesty is to spill over in all areas of our life, as should the Bible and its teachings. Our personal jobs shouldn’t spill over onto the Bible, causing us to compromise or sacrifice God‘s word. The Bible says you’re either with me or against me. Hot or cold. Good luck, ladies, with the podcast. Hope you grow stronger and more knowledgeable on your journey.

1 Cornthians 11 is a difficult passage but true nonetheless. Also 1 Timothy 2.
Paul says that women need to be modest and hide their beauty, not because it is a sin, but because you can make a brother in Christ stumble and sin.
Lust is a very difficult sin to overcome for so many men, and beautiful women can be used by the evil spirits to torment guys.
This is why if a woman truly loves her brothers in Christ, she will be modest and hide her beauty to them, so they don't get tempted.
Men are wired to want beautiful women, and a mature Christian will be able to overcome lust, but a young, immature Christian man? You might be the reason he stumbles and sins.
So it's not a sin to be beautiful or wear makeup etc, but even the angels are in awe of a woman's beauty. This is why Paul says a woman should wear a covering for the sake of the angels.
The bible also teaches that a Christian woman shouldn't wear makeup and many jewels but her beauty should be on the inside and she should prove it by doing good works. This needs discernment. Is it a sin to do some makeup and wear a few jewels? I believe it's not, but it's a slippery road because you have to be sure to are not doing it to attract attention, looks from men etc.
I believe the best way to understand modesty and purity is to look at children. Jesus said we should become children again because people with a childlike heart will inherit the kingdom of Heaven.
Making your lips attractive for kissing, and your cheeks look red are all signs of sexual attraction to the animal part of our brain. You have to ask yourself, why are you making yourself look more beautiful? Of course you don't want to look bad on purpose, but I think making your hair look beautiful is more than enough for women. Work with what the Lord already gave you, don't add things.
If you read this, let the Holy Spirit convict you and lead you. I feel in my spirit that a woman, if she wants to be perfect in the eyes of the Lord, should not want to wear makeup and jewels.
But of course we are talking about perfection in the Holy Spirit, and this is something very minor compared to more serious sins.

Girls! I just want to tell you that you are so beautiful... I can see your hearts, and I love you so much! We need that the Holy Spirit renew our minds and hearts... My sister told me some minutes ago something that I want to share with you: if our minds and hearts were righteous and clean wouldn´t be necessary to be worried about the way we wear and the clothes we use, because people wouldn´t see any wrong in the way we wear, and we wouldn´t see any bad in others... and anybody would wear with any wrong intention... Your clothes aren´t more important than your hearts and minds... and the fact that you want to honor God and you are preocupied about your clothes says that you have a tender heart... and God sees that! 🥰 That is the most important thing!!!

Hello girls, it's great that you are tackling this subject even if you said that you still have to learn. Personally the Holy Spirit convinced me that crop tops and makeup were not modest, if this is truly the case I pray that in the Name of Jesus you also have this revelation because Only He can convince it is true . I just wanted to leave you with a little thought: if you can't talk about Jesus here without makeup, don't you think you're putting him before him? For me, if you can't show yourself without makeup, it's because you're an idol. So I really encourage you to do at least 1 episode without I'm sure you'll be very pretty, it's just that you've lost the habit of being natural! Little testimony: before I took photos with filters and when I looked at myself without a filter on my phone I no longer found myself beautiful. At one point I was convinced that it was bad because God created us without filter without makeup and he says about us that we are wonderful creatures and we must show him that we believe in his word by not adding to it. fireworks. Anyway, time passed and it had been a long time since I had put a filter on me and I said to myself in my head oh my phone it looks like the quality of the camera has improved! but in fact she was still the same, it was just my vision of myself that had changed. otherwise regarding your career Angel I just wanted to tell you that Jesus sat with sinners but never sinned with them. It's very good that you are light in the darkness but be careful not to participate in bad films, having bad roles. For me, horror films clearly come from the devil because God would never make a film where the image of the Church is tarnished and where people like to watch watches which are the enemies of God. In addition, the enemy of faith is fear, so God does not like horror films because they are created to scare, only the devil can like that. God bless you ❤ (I'm so happy that you stopped saying OMG (or oh my God) I say not to tell a lot of people but they don't understand).. I didn't wanted to be judgemental I think that judgement is a sin I think what you said is exhortation not judgement but I understand what you meant. So sorry If I hurted you it was not my intention at all❤

"Modesty points to Him, immodesty points to myself." So true, thank you for this podcast and a beautiful reminder that we each need to seek God's will for our own modesty and NOT judge others who are going through that journey with Christ. Much love!❤

That's not even sound advice. Scripture shows to hold one another to righteous accountability and judge righteous judgment. Obviously we can look at a situation like a new follower of Christ isn't surprising they dress immodest and need time to grow but these women are only saying don't judge because they don't like that people hold them accountable for knowing right from wrong with the immodest posts they have on their instigram.

@@vivaeuropa just seeing your reply, and just wanted to say thank you for sharing your perspective!
However, I would have to disagree with you based on 2 things: 1) I said that we are not to "judge" others, not that we can't speak the truth in a loving, non-judgemental way. There is a big difference. One is something the Bible warns against, while the other is something that ultimately comes through spending time with someone and sharing the truth with them in a way that uplifts them. The Bible is very clear that we as believers are not in a place to judge. In Matthew 7: 1-5, Jesus specifically says "do not judge" to those who were following him during the sermon on the mount. Just as easily as we may nitpick how others (like these young ladies) are dressed, there is often a very big "plank" in our own eye that is causing us to have an even bigger problem in our relationship with the Lord. So, pointing out their flaws publicly on the internet is in no way building them up but instead causing the same problem Jesus is referring to in those scriptures. 2) you quoted Jesus' words in your argument, which can be found in John 7:24 (KJV‬)
"[24] Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." Your argument contradicts this verse because it says not to judge others according to appearance, which is exactly what judging others by their dress is doing. "Righteous judgment" then comes from God alone because not of us are righteous outside of Christ. If the Holy Spirit in us gives us the liberty to share with someone that their dress isn't modest enough, it's going to be done in a way that aligns with the fruits of the Spirit (lovingly, peacefully, patiently, kindly, etc.). And I can guarantee you that publicly calling someone out on the internet is not doing that at all.
Again, I truly appreciate your argument and perspective and I hope this didn't come off combative! Just want the Truth to be upheld so others can know it and be set free because of it❤️

As woman in my early 30's, I am just now realizing that modesty is a little journey of its own. I've noticed with me, that it starts within the heart and works its way outward and then becomes a public appearance of our change within ourselves as we follow God. This is a beautiful platform as it shows a human, flawed journey to growing a relationship with God. We are not perfect, we all have a past and will continue to make mistakes but God's grace and mercy and his love for us shows in his forgiveness as well.
