Everyone can have visible abs. They just won't look the same as his, but can still be aesthetically pleasing in their own way. Making them visible is mainly about body fat and consistent core work.
Great message about expectations. Not everyone can achieve muscular definition like this man. But, even getting close is above average for most people.
The focus should be on health first (especially as we age 74 yr old female here worked out for 40+ yrs) taking no or as little as possible medications (they are poison/toxic). Just keep pushing and as maturing (into 70's) the body needs a longer recovery time, respect it (hardest part for me. BTW, I am no longer vegan and have been Keto for 5+ yrs, focusing on meat and lots of protein. This site is not just for men, thank you Paul for all your hard work, the BEST.
I just noticed the lapel mic; looped around your neck because you have no shirt. I see a lot of videos from folks who don't have a lapel mic (or any other external mic) and they're not loud enough. Thank you for doing what it takes.
Love you videos. I have had shoulder surgery on both shoulders and can’t do these exercises. I was wondering if there are things I can do that don’t require shoulders. Also do you have a video on your diet? Thank you for your time.
Primo + test + gh + fortunate enough to not have a pelvic floor or transverse injury to lead to postural changes. Probably played soccer younger, you need good hips growing up to have such a core.
I was in super good health when I was younger. I got away from all the things I loved to do to work. Then I got hurt with a major back surgery can you give me some advice on how to drop my weight and get my core back and lower back strong again?
Paul, I have diastasis recti which is a weakening of the abdominal muscles. This causes a protrusion to occur whenever I do ANY ab exercises. Are these exercises safe for me?
thanks great vid. how often do you suggest to do these 3 - every day? every other day? will this burn fat as well or does one need to be in a calorie deficit. i am slim but got a bit of a tum.
I do. Big part of my nutrition routine. You can find everything I use here transparentlabs.com/discount/PAUL?redirect=/pages/shop-paul-sklars-supplement-stack
I have been taking Creatine monohydrate for the past 4 weeks. I’ve noticed a little bit of muscles gains but my belly is getting bigger or it’s bloating. Any advice please??
Mangi from Stockholm hare.. So i tried all 3 of them this morning after my cardio workout and it helt really good. Is the rep range 10-12 in total / exercise or is 10-12 / side ? Thanks
Hello Paul My name Orlando and I am 61yrs old, recently retired 2yrs ago from Corrections due to a knee injury and would like to get back in shape as it’s been difficult for me in the gym because I can’t fully commit without having g pain in parts of my body parts. What would you recommend to help me succeed in my goals? Thank you 🙏
Are you a doctor? Do you have a degree? I'm only asking because I'm umm over age 50 lol and I do have replaced knee, shoulder and rods in my neck so will these exercises be SAFE for me ?
Hey Paul, I've been getting terrible cramps in my abs lately. Usually after a workout when I'm stretching. I tried to hit a pm cardio and abs session last night and my abs started cramping on the 4th rep. I usually try and drink an LMNT Electrolyte pouch daily, but still having issues. Any ideas? I've supplemented with Magnesium previously, but haven't found the right one. Thanks!
That looks like a good idea to raise one leg while you’re doing pull-ups. I never thought about that I’m gonna try it out. I followed along and tried some of the exercises. They are no joke and it feels great. I’ll start working them in.
Greetings from Puerto Rico, a question taking into account a good diet, how many times a week can I do these exercises to obtain results in a short time?
@@PaulSklarxfit thanks. Turning 60 in February. Always been a gym guy. I had abs for about 10 years in my 20s & 30s. Lost them to busy work life schedules. Kids etc. got them back in my late 40s and mid 50s. I got lazy during Covid. (The chocolate eclair is the greatest thing ever made). Now I’m focusing on fitness again. All to live long and play with grandchildren when they come. I really like your videos. Different perspective to building muscle, and tone.
I think that’s fine. When I do the roller I do 2 sets of 20. But I do a lot of other things as well. Look up the Navy Seal ab workout. I’ve just started doing it. It’s great.
I'm trying to figure out what's even possible for me. Went from 255lbs to 160lbs. Have now hovered at around 170lbs, in the 18-20% body fat range? maybe? ... my problem is this belly skin. How much does it weigh? It skews my measurements and my body fat % and hides my ab muscles which I can feel but not see. It's been almost 2 years. I feel like it's never going away.
I imagine until failure. Like any muscle, in order to grow them, you need to go to failure. Try 3 or 4 rounds, going until failure on each exercise. Just make sure your form is good and you're not putting strain on your lower back.
I like Paul, but I disagree with how he trains abs. He's incredibly motivational. I agree with his dieting methods and CICO. Without a doubt, Paul does have great genetics, which is why these exercises work for him. If you had visible abs when you were a kid, you probably have pretty good genetics. I do not have great Genetics and training abs like Paul does not work for me. I need to train abs with progressive overload like all of my other muscles. Weighted cable Crunches, Weighted leg raises, Modified candlesticks, weighted decline situps etc. that is the only way i've actually be able to add hypertrophic stimulus and grow the abdominals. Paul Revila talks about this. Most people are not going to create enough stimulus with these exercises to get abs like Paul.
I got my abs to pop by losing 150lbs on healthy keto, and walking every day. I can envision many people hurting their lower backs with these movements, especially if you have degenerative disc disease.
I love that you tell the truth that not everyone can have abs like that . I wish more people understand that . keep up the great content Paul
It’s not fair to promise something when you know it’s not true💪🏼
Bless u Paul aka gigantor

Impressive expertise, flawless sports etiquette, and no equipment juggling. Handles pre-workout without going crazy. Keep it up, Sir! 👏
Raw truth... gotta put in the time. But consistency so key. I still got'm at 61
I'm from Indonesia I was inspired by your video, thank you Paul
Glad to help💪🏼
Its all hard work, cosistency and dedication
Just did these with you and I feel the burn already🔥

Paul very motivating for a guy my age 62. Great content sir
Brilliant performance 👏👏💪💪❤️❤️
I will give this a shot. I needed a different ab routine. You're a great instructor, you demonstrate and explain the exercises with ease. Thanks!

The problem is the food not the exercise
Thank you, Paul. I've got your program. The problem is I can't complete all the rounds, I'm usually spent out by the end.
Go on the same drug stack he's on and you should be fine

Thank you. Basic shampoo and conditioner in the hair, bear wash and oil for the beard🤙🏼
Would it be possible to have a complete bodybuilding and diet program if you live in France? thank you for your response

No I am not a doctor. I have a BS in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University.
Can you do a video talking about injuries that naturally hit athletes as we get older and which are always leading to loss of gains? Thanks.
Hey Paul, I've been getting terrible cramps in my abs lately. Usually after a workout when I'm stretching. Same here. I usually try and do light ab workouts and stretches to active the abs before my workouts. Have had less cramping.
@@RB-es1vxthanks! Will give that a shot.
Try and put up a series for people with injuries and niggles. Tennis Elbow, Hurt knees etc.

great genetics is working hard at what you want. simple as that
At what age did you get into bodybuilding?
Hey sir do u recommend any exercises with ankle/wrist weights if any or do u not recommend the accessories at all
I personally do not use ankle or wrist weights. That is not to say that they couldn’t be useful for some.
Can i request on what you eat and supplement stacks?
Greetings from Puerto Rico, a question taking into account a good diet, how many times a week can I do these exercises to obtain results in a short time?
if you're lean, the abs will show,
Make ABS great again
What did you do to make them look so asymmetrical?
Aren’t abs made in the kitchen and the gym? After watching this, I’m changed. I’m doing this for 14 days. See how it lasts.
Lower body fat exposes the abdominals. Training develops them. Work hard on both💪🏼

Paul. That first exercise is really tough for me with an ectomorph body shape. It feels like I’m getting mostly tricep engag
Then stop doing the triceps push and just keep your arms straight until you feel your abs on fire
it's hard for me to have like that..my tummy is big.. thats my problem 💯🇵🇭

tell us more about your cycle?
Let me know your stack..
The pack “number” is genetic, by the way. It all depends on how many segments you were born with in your rectis abdominus
abs do not show unless you really watch your diet
I have an acquaintance who has abs like yours and has never done a crunch in his life. In the end I think it has a lot to do with genetics.
