I was accused of taking steroids many times. The thing was I was never that lean when I was big. I was 230 lb with 19-in arms and a 48-in chest and 2 28 and 3/4-in thighs but my waist was 36 in so not lean.
Admittedly I don't have great genetics in order to get a lot of mass. I had to have higher body fat percentage.

Did I miss the part of the test results in the video where it shows your
      testosterone level?
Lipid markers look good. Very similar to mine. I have higher LDL because I'm on a keto diet though.
      I'll be 52 in March.
When I test him testosterone a few years ago I was actually what I consider low. I had around 400 and it got as low as 338.
I changed my diet. I lost about 60 lb and tons of muscle in the process but my testosterone has gone up from the 338 to over 500 now which is still just barely average but I feel better than I did so it's fine I guess...

Looking great my friend, I'm 61 I've been on TRT for 5 years. I do full panel of blood work twice a year. Reason I started, my free testosterone were very low range. Once I started it made a big difference in my overall health. It's not for everyone and its a personal choice. Keep up the great job and stay healthy.

Soon to be 60. I have been consistent in my exercise and generally healthy eating all my late teen through adult life.
I am not as bulky or lean as Paul. But I am cut and have decent body fat. If, if I put my mind to it and got more disciplined and ate better and lifted for mass I have no doubt I could. Instead I play soccer, 40+ league, pick up games with guys in their 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's (one guy is 73 yrs old). This stuff isn't fairy tales. Get up, move, eat healthy and sleep enough - daily. You will be amazed at the changes you feel.

People also don't (want to) realize that some people just have favorable genes when it comes to muscle building, shape, etc, just like some are taller. The average guy may live exactly the same life as Paul and never look quite as good. They will of course look and feel a lot better than if they didn't.

I normally don’t really post on social media but I wanted to let you know that I really appreciate what you do and I feel like you are doing a great job. I have been working out regularly for almost a year now and finally got my testosterone checked a month ago and found out I’m deficient, at 200 so now I’m taking testosterone replacement. A friend of mine who competed at the pro level told me to get tested because I kept complaining that I was tired and achey and turns out he was right. Before I started working out I had chronic back pain, then I got a herniated disk, and I really started feeling like I was getting weaker and weaker. So I decided I have to do something. Since I have been working out I feel like my back has gotten better and over all I feel much better. I do my workouts at home but if I could go to your gym I would go.

    Hey Paul
I'm 64 years old in 1983 I placed 2nd in a mr. Indiana contest. Like you have been natural my whole life. Many of my friends back then were doing steroids. The following year , although I looked slightly better I couldn't place in the contest or any other contests.
My friends were encouraging me to do the drugs. I walked away from competition. Today I'm 65 years old. I'm 5'9" just shy of 180lbs. Arms, neck and calves 16 1/2" with everything else the same size as when I was young. I look the same as I was years ago except my waist is not 29" anymore. It's about 33" it's hard to keep the waistline I had when I was young. You're an inspiration to me Paul to stay at it even in later age ...and still look good without drugs. Steve Reeves an 7:26 d John Grimec were my favorite bodybuilders. keep the good work and keep your videos coming. Brian Taylor

Love to hear it. Glad you walked away from it. That’s why you will not have the side effects and will have the longevity that those that chose to abuse have. Keep up the good work!

I’m 49 and for the past 4-5yrs I’ve been on this journey to get into better shape. Mainly for 3 reasons. Stress management, confidence building & physical longevity. I have 4 kids. Oldest is 22, youngest is 6. So trying to be able to be active & around for as long as possible for my youngest. I’ve gone through many ups & downs, tried many approaches, taken some breaks, but always get back on the horse. 2yrs ago I went and had my T levels checked because with the hard work I was putting in, I felt my physique results weren’t matching. Found that I was running around 320-330. I feel like this is the reason I can’t seem to get below 23% body fat. I could put on muscle, but couldn’t shed the fat. We discussed TRT but I told him that would be a last resort. Fast forward to today & I’m just frying back at it consistently after a fairly long break due to working a very odd schedule (overnights) for the past few months. I’m going to start adding magnesium supplements to vitamin D3, Omega-3 & Zinc to see if I can get my levels raised naturally.

I've never gotten below 25% BF. I'm a trail runner, resistance, you name it. Intermittent fasting, caloric restriction.. My body won't do it. I asked a dr. and my thyroid levels were slightly low. We fixed that and my body didn't do shit. So that's how my body is.

I believe the time I was in college, no gf no kids, and training 6 days a week lifting, gym rat and soccer (college League). I had a Greek like chiseled lean 12%fat muscular athletic body.
Lot of gym rats were wearing I was juiced. I wasnt. Just God damn hard work. I always feared roids cause it would shrinkin my male tool and I cant accept that.
I believe you when you say you're natty, its just that most people dont see you get up each day and liftin shit for time, eating right, pushing through each day.
My son is 18 and his body one that gets most teen girls to look for time its freaking crazy. He was a gym rat as well.
The untrained person doesnt have the mind to grasp the indept of the long term hard work in close quarters, cause they've never done long term in dept hard work of any kind physically.
    Keep up the good work.

How much more energy and vitality am I potentially missing? Yes, you do indeed have a unique physique at 50. I believe you, glad you put those rumors to rest.

I've seen you in commercials and on some RUclips videos NEVER thought you weren't a natural. I'm 53 6'4 230lbs now lost 50lbs and bench and squat 275 started last October and lifted earlier till Covid took a few years off so mostly regained my previous strength. I've never taken any performance enhancing drug if a person LIFTS hard, eats healthy and clean and sleeps he can lose weight and gain muscle even in 50s. I'm about 10lbs from abs visible and was about 275lbs last October.
WORK. People are lazy so of course thinking others are taking shortcuts is easy for them to believe because THEY WOULD TAKE those shortcuts. Not many people have honor and integrity so of course they think you're same way. Great job keep being an inspiration!

I'm also 52 and have been weight training for almost 30 years. At 5'11 and 207 pounds I'm frequently asked if I use PEDs or TRT. I do neither. I DO adhere to, what I consider the three pillars of healthy living: Training, nutrition and rest. I'm lucky in the sense that I enjoy the process and consider this a permanent part of my lifestyle. If you're ever in the Boston (or North Shore MA) I'd enjoy an "old guy" work out. We can compare notes!

Good for you Paul. I'm 50 years old and there isn't a month that goes by without someone accusing me of taking PED's. I have been training since I was 18 years old, I've researched and learned so much about diet, nutrition and the importance of rest over many years. That alone has ensured that I can maintain a physique that I am proud of, work damn hard for , and will continue as long as I am healthy to do so. Love the channel Paul.
