And if so what type of files would they need to be for the software to read it properly?
Could I use this program to take an existing image, photoshop out each piece ie. Eye, mouth, nose etc then put it back together so it moves upon audio lip sync? The initial work would be alot but I could reuse that for other scenes of dialogue.
Hi, thank you for your message and interest :) Unfortunately this is specifically for the head and mouth rig that is included with the toolkit. This being said, the head rig is very versatile, so if you are after a cartoon like head, it will allow you to create almost any head shape and look, directly within the toolkit.
where is the tutorial for manual lip sync
Wow, that's cool. But... if I buy it. can i operate it in after effects 2018?. I see lots of layers. Can this be operated with 16 RAM n intel core i5 gen 10th?
Glad that you like it. Character Animation Explainer Toolkit is designed for Adobe After Effects CC and above. It is compatible with After Effects CC Version 12, and all the other more recent versions, including: CC, CC 2014, CC 2015, CC 2016, CC 2017, CC 2018, CC 2019.
16GB Ram should work, normally we recommend 16gb Ram or more to use the toolkit.

Hi I have recently purchased the toolkit but I want to know how to turn the character to look backwards like facing opposite the camera
Hi, unfortunately, this is not a feature of the toolkit. The characters can be turned 180 degrees, (from side to side), but they cannot turn to show the back.
But since it's not featured on this pack can you add it in future
