I find it extremely difficult that these frats, Idaho included and these kids never seem to talk. Pledge to these Frats, it’s a brotherhood friends for life. Well, apparently that last part seems accurate. The victims life at least. So they know what places he was at first, before being told to leave Lukes bar? receipt showed one beer two waters at Luke Bryant’s but his mom said he was drinking the Run and Coke that tasted like barbecue at Luke. Bryan‘s. They do make and run and Coke that has a bbq spice in it, or did he have that and then said it tasted off? I’m wondering, Why we haven’t heard what he had at the other two bars, or maybe I haven’t heard. The stepdad made a point, got to Luke’s 21 minutes after going in asked to leave and one beer wouldn’t cause him to be asked to leave unless, one, drugged, two, hammered and we know, BAC gets higher and 21 min later and a beer I believe he’d of had to be hitting it pretty good at the first two or pregaming at the hotel. Knowing that might have a solid direction to follow being either extremely drunk or drug. Whst sbout tracking the phone to exact location. They had Barry Morphew running around his house, it seems it would have a very set point of last contact from the cops bodycam. Have they mentioned anything about searching homeless around there for maybe the boots and pants that just happened to be missing. Cops said no signs of foul play, What did medical examiner mention about his hand, even thou he had on pants, when he tripped, his hands should’ve had some abrasions knees could’ve had some sign of hitting the ground. No water in lungs, odd.. I hope his friends and family csn find some peace and with the answers they’re looking for. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼. It’s heartbreaking, Riley, may you RIP

Kudos to Riley's family for keeping this story in front of the public. They want and need answers and what they find could help to save someone else's life. Kudos to NewsNation for interviewing the family. Many posts in early March were about the true Nashville party scene. I said then and I will say it again, someone needs to offer reward money---Luke Bryan. Someone out there has anwers and with the pressure, guilt, and possibly the lure of money, someone will speak up. Or, maybe not if there is a citywide coverup. To honor Riley, please look for the petition for Riley's Act and sign it. A bar would have to call for a ride when an intoxicated customer is being kicked out. What an unprofessional response from the 911 operator. That may be the outcome for some of the situations when people have called 911. But to say that upfront to a new caller is horrible.

But they where staying 5 blocks in the opposite direction Riley took. I don't see any of them frat boys spending their party money when they are young & capable of walking. Nashville is such a hot spot for trafficking because it is “one of only four U.S. cities where six interstate legs converge within the city's boundaries: I-65 North and South, I-40 East and West, and I-24 East and West.”
The way they explained it was if you’re ever picked up in Nashville you could be across 2-3 states before anyone realizes you’re gone and you could literally go in any direction from there. So it would be a guessing game which way they went.
That being said I’m not sure if that is the case here. I think it’s very possible something was in his drink. But something is telling me the frat brothers know something. And if the goal was to traffic him, you can’t traffic a dead person. There was foul play in my opinion. But they are right about something being wrong in Nashville

Going to share a LOT of my thoughts here, for anyone who is spending as much time on this case as I have been:
It should be pretty easy to tell from the time signature of the text and when the charges happened at different bars which bar the "barbecue" drink might have happened at. Also, he said it was a rum and coke, so unless he drank rum and coke at every single bar for every single drink, that will narrow it down as well.
---- In addition to any and all bar footage, police need to seriously examine the footage from the Gay St. surveillance more thoroughly (I've seen weird things in it, other people have pointed out that around 11pm there's a group of people shuffling around as if they're carrying something big down the block). From what I've heard, the police have claimed that they don't see anything weird happening in the footage, which is NUTS. If you change the quality setting on RUclips the extremely blurry footage becomes a lot clearer, and lots of things happening look pretty weird to me. For one thing, in the other widely circulated video of Riley crossing the intersection, there are two guys in white hoodies and white sneakers who seem to be anticipating Riley's approach on the street corner, and then they are commenting back and forth while they watch him, just waiting there at the intersection for a few seconds while everyone else crosses. Why? Only after they stand there for a while do they eventually cross the street, as if they intend on following Riley from a distance- but the rest of that footage is cut off from what was released to the public so I would be curious whether those dudes walked the whole length of Gay Steet behind Riley after that or if they turned off somewhere. Especially because, when you look at the Gay St. surveillance, you can see two different people in white hoodies and white sneakers within minutes of the time when Riley's phone went dead, and one of those people is seen running for some reason. Then later on in the night, you have the aforementioned weird scuffle involving a group of people, and then shuffling together of that group, who according to some people appear to be "carrying a body". Even if it has nothing to do with Riley, many other people have been pulled out of that river and it is worth examining what's going on for those people's families as well. The footage has been posted to RUclips, by the way.
----- It's entirely possible that Riley could have encountered multiple people with nefarious intentions that night. He started out in a vulnerable position, might have been followed (maybe even by the person who spiked his drink), might have been robbed, might have collapsed from alcohol poisoning or from whatever else his drink could have been spiked with, and there's a potential that people who live in the encampment over there would have motive to "remove" someone's body from that location if they found someone deceased nearby, so as to avoid undue attention from law enforcement. Remember, not everyone who's in that unhoused position is going to be mentally stable necessarily and able to make rational decisions.
----- Something strikes me very strange about the report by one of the encampment members wherein he apparently stated that he heard Riley fall into a fence or something like that, and then called out, and then some people (who??) replied "It's okay, he's just drunk". 1. A person falling into a fence isn't very loud. A bush would be even quieter. This guy who says he had to yell and get a yell reply from other strangers was probably closer in proximity to whatever was happening than the impression that he has given in his statement. 2. Who were these people with Riley who called out saying he was drunk? Riley was walking alone. No one should have been near him unless they were either trying to help or trying to do something else. There is no confirmation as to whether those people were helping him or unaliving him. They clearly didn't call him a cab. They clearly didn't call emergency services for him. They clearly didn't walk him back to his hotel. So what were they doing in such close proximity to Riley while he was "falling into" other objects and making a "commotion" that someone else would take notice of? That really disturbs me.
----- I think the family is perfectly justified in being skeptical of the frat bros. I think it's entirely within the realm of possibility that one of them could have been the one to mess with Riley's drink, if that indeed happened. It could have been a practical joke or related to some hazing ritual or something, and they assumed it would just result in a funny night. Maybe they thought he was super tall and whatever the dose was wouldn't affect him much, but they didn't take into account how super thin he was. It's unfortunately also very on brand for fraternities to have events where they "challenge" a member to do something ridiculous and dangerous, like walk a certain distance while under the influence of something, or complete a ludicrous quest. It's shocking and disappointing that in a fraternity of 30+ members, there were not at least a couple who might be more conscientious and observant than to just not concern themselves with Riley's whereabouts for HOURS after he was observably that intoxicated and unreachable by phone.
Why could Riley not get a ride to the hotel, with Uber and Lyft and everything else available nowadays, if he was feeling so disoriented? It would have been an easy solution, rather than walking around in public throwing up. What I'm saying is that no one would choose that instead of a quick ride to the hotel when they feel sick- it's awful to be stuck in a public place feeling ill. So, why wasn't he in a cab to the hotel? If he didn't think he'd need one and then got lost, he still could have done that later on, unless someone had interfered with his ability to do so in some way OR he was walking all the way to the location that he did for some other reason, like someone was giving him bad directions. Did someone take his phone from him earlier in the night than we think? A taxi ride to the hotel couldn't have even been that expensive. Why didn't his fraternity brothers stick him in a cab before going about their business? If the hotel was so close by, why couldn't someone walk with him there and then come right back to the bar? Why the heck did the person who walked out of the bar with Riley come right back in afterwards instead of spending at least a few minutes figuring out what kind of state he was in? Were none of the frat guys actually his friends? There's DEFINITELY more that's not being divulged from the frat, even if it only amounts to mundane details. Unless they had zero awareness of Riley in general because none of them were close with him whatsoever, all of the procrastination with the phone call to the police and also the lack of evident concern (them not trying to help search or anything) is really weird just from a normal human perspective. If someone I personally knew was missing after wandering away drunk, you better believe I would be out there wandering the streets for hours. The fact that there was so much commotion in the actual hotel that night is extremely suspect, all by itself. A really awful thought I had was that the group in the Gay St. footage around 11 pm could be ANYONE, including a group of Riley's frat brothers.

    • @bettywith2girls
      @bettywith2girls Месяц назад

There is a lot of shoulda, woulda, coulda's unfortunately in this case. Yes, I agree with you. Yes, Riley had his phone and you will notice in the camera footage he is constantly looking at it. He even texted back his frat friends at the bar that he was heading back to the hotel, which was only 12 minutes away. I feel that his frat friends were unaware just how drunk Riley was...or they would have done more to make sure he got to the hotel safely. There's a software development company called "YourTempo" that is right by the river and was just 2 blocks away from where Riley was last seen in the last camera footage. Some people think he accidentally put that company in his Google Maps instead of TEMPO by Hilton, his hotel in the completely opposite direction. Yes, I wish he had called an Uber, Lyft or cab when he realized he was really lost. Poor kid. God bless.

I definitely believe his frat brothers are to blame, for not walking Riley, 5 blocks to his hotel room. Then they could have went back and partied. But to leave him to fend for himself, in the state he was in and in a very unfamiliar place, was very wrong to do to Riley. I don't believe Riley was slipped anything, for what reason??
Riley is just a young guy, who probably doesn't drink a whole lot, aside from that night. He was definitely hammered and in need, of some assistance.
I hope the parents read the comments. I would like to make sense of what happened. We see Riley heading along the street or the path, next to the river. I believe once Riley passed the officer, it made him a bit nervous. And when we get nervous it tends to give a sense of having to urinate. I believe Riley took a right into the brush, to relieve himself. Riley undoes his belt and pants and loses his balance and tumbles down into the river. Riley probably had his debit card in his shirt pocket, which fell out as he tumbled down the embankment, into the river. And over time, the current and water filling up his pants, which made his pants come down around his ankles. His pants become a parachute in the water, pulling off his boots. The reason his boxer didn't come off is because the waistband is too tight and no water gets in his boxers to pull them off. Same with his socks, they are too tight for water to get in there and pull them off.
I bet if you can hire a few scuba divers to check his 8 mile path underwater, they will find his pants and his boots, together somewhere under there. It's heartbreaking what happened to Riley. Its so unfair, that he didnt have one buddy, who could have helped Riley out, when he needed it.

Yeah, normally I would completely agree with you, but if that would have happened and he would have tumbled down below, he would have hit land and a ton of branches/brush, not fall into the river/water on the way down. Plus, he would have been extremely banged up from doing the "Plinko" on the way down. Depending on exactly where he could have fell and then landed (assuming somewhere between up & down that stretch around where his credit card was found and where he had that brief interaction with the officer) there is a considerable about of land below that he would have landed onto before he would have reached the water/river... so much so that there's a ton of branches/brush, trash, personal belongings, etc along the stretch from a homeless encampment down there. He wouldn't have just been able to fall into the river...

Yes. Thank you. A lot of people think that's what happened and it makes sense too. Our sympathy to his parents, who would be understandably devastated. No to excuse them, but the guy who was his friend tried to go with Riley but the bouncer wouldn't let him until he paid his bar tab. By the time they figured out what had happened and they paid their bar tab, Riley had already left the area. The hotel was only a 12 minute walk, if you turn in the right direction, which Riley didn't. They DID text Riley and he texted back hexwas headed to the hotel. They had no reason to think otherwise. I wish Riley had asked one of the many people passing him on the street for help, but he didn't. We believe that he was using Google Maps but accidentally picked "YourTemp" a software development company by the river instead of "TEMPO by Hilton", his hotel in the other direction. The very last camera footage of him is about 2 blocks from the software company.

There is nothing about Riley Strains death that seems accidental to me. A Mom knows, the fact his Rum and Coke tasted like barbecue speaks a lot to why Riley was so intoxicated and Riley seemed disorientated. This often happens when your drink has been spiked. Even more so if you have consumed strong drinks before the spiking occurred. Anyone who has been spiked and survived can recall feeling different to how they would usually feel when intoxicated. The Strain family are right to dig deeper in finding out how Riley ended up dead. If it were my child I would be the exact same. This is not right and many of us viewers agree with his Mom, Stepdad and Dad. It is so terrible to lose your child like this. I feel for the Strain family and hope they get the closure they need and deserve.
Parents do whatever it takes to protect your children no matter what age they are. This world isn't safe for them. Trust noone with your kids because the truth is only you love your kids like no other person could. If a friend, boyfriend, husband can do it to your child, NOONE CAN BE TRUSTED. So do your best to keep them from this dark world. I pray for the Strains and my heart goes out to them for what they are suffering❤❤❤

I am so sorry to the parents and God Bless you all. RIP Riley.... I feel something is definitely off in Nashville, and I felt that from the minute I saw this on the news and watched all of this from day 1. I always felt something was also wrong with the Frat brothers from the beginning. How could they all not be kicked out of the bar, but Riley was and they know something. How could all those guys not be as messed up as Riley was? They all were drinking at all the bars and were out until 3am! Crazy! It's so sad!!! I am so sorry..... I don't know..... and why was Riley running at that one point and the fall he had in to that pole also had to have hurt him pretty bad.

Riley looks like he'd be a light weight, as they say. I am too. That means it takes very few drinks to get us drunk. Put that same person with others who are heavy drinkers...Riley probably had WAY over his limit that he could reasonably handle. It's easy to do as a light weight...trust me. My sympathies to his family.

Do they think his drink was spiked? I drank a glass of wine once at a country club. A few minutes after, I was so out of it my 18 yr old daughter had to drive me. I was gone! It really scared me! I’d never had that happen before and was convinced my drink was spiked! Some people are just beyond evil and if they can prove they spiked his drink, they should be held accountable.

Blame anything except the alcohol. People do incredibly stupid things when they are drunk. Maybe they should have taught him that growing up.

A reading from The Reckoning Co on RUclips said that the frat brothers did this to humiliate him. The reading was done 2 days before Riley was found. It also included that he was trapped under something which we found out 2 days later to be correct.

Hope I'm on that jury then...lol Cause they wouldn't get anything. LoL The operator was probably trying to calm the caller with other possibilities where their friend may have been. And to help them stay hopeful of finding him. But it's not like the frat boys really cared, they waited what was it, 14 to 16 hours to even report him missing!!!

I agree with you. Riley really COULD have met or been with a bunch of guys or even a girl staying at a nearby hotel...he could have been anywhere that night as far as the kids knew. Only when they knew he had to show up the next morning and he didn't was when the red flags went up. My condolences and sympathies to his parents. It's awful losing a child, especially an only child...but accidents happen, unfortunately.
