- From one left over single table leg, to a broken Rooster...I'm going to show you how to make BEAUTIFUL DIY Farmhouse decor out of something that some people might disregard as trash.
First, we'll take a very ornate table leg and make chunky farmhouse candle stick holders with it. Then we'll take this broken Rooster figurine and put it back together using our new Starbond glue and epoxy putty. Afterwards, we'll give it a whole brand new paint job that will turn it into quite a stunning piece of farmhouse decor! And, lastly we'll take a wooden box that I got from the Thrift Store for $5.99 and turn it into a wonderful farmhouse planter! So, are you ready to dive into this week's projects? Alright then...let's do this!

@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE also u! Have a great day & keep up with your beautiful DIYs💖
This rooster repair was so good. Glad you did it this way.
I have one of those in my kitchen. What I did with it was I put in my candle melt for the season. I have one for Christmas, 1 for fall and 1 for Easter and I put them on there. And then in the little drawer in the bottom. I put my wax melts so that I know exactly where they are when I need them. And I don't have to go chasing around China and find them. Cause when you're my age, you don't want to do that. You get frustrated really easy. Thanks for what you do kelly I love watching you
Love ur music, it’s calming.
Thank you, Ruby! I love that you said that, because I think the music really makes the video better. I know some people don't like the music, so it's nice to hear that you find it calming and that you love it! XOXO

Just ordered some of the star bond glue! Can't wait to try it! Thanks for the discount!!
Awesome! You're going to LOVE it! I was using epoxy before I tried Starbond, but with the epoxy glue you have to wait hours for it to cure. The Starbond is instant...no waiting at all and it's a nice strong bond! I'm so glad they sent it to me to try, because I love it! Anyway, thanks for watching and you have a BEAUTIFUL weekend, Gena! XOXO
I would have been so upset with myself, I would have thrown the rooster away. Great job!
These came out so amazing. Great transformations. Hope you have a blessed day.
Thank you, Margaret! I'm so glad you enjoyed the projects this week! Thank you for sharing and for watching!!! XOXO
You could use saucers on the top right side up, and a saucer upside down for the bottom, if you don't have any wood
Dr. Sherry to rooster ER Stat! It looks great!
Hi Joanne! I had to laugh when I read your comment! HEE HEE I could even hear the ambulance sound in my head and the stretcher busting through the ER door! LOL Thanks so much! I LOVED your comment! Thank you for watching and for making me laugh, today! You have a BEAUTIFUL night, Joanne! XOXO
Love it! I must check out that resin repair product.
Hi Sandra! Yes, Magic Sculpt is AWESOME! It's not technically sold as a resin repair product, but you definitely can use it as that, as you just seen. Magic Sculpt is for artist...they make sculptures out of it. It dries so rock hard, because it is a resin! I LOVE it and have been using it for years! I have a link in the description for it...if you want to check it out. Anyway, thanks so much for watching and you have a BEAUTIFUL night, Sandra!!! XOXO
Good job
The planter box is so pretty. Love the 3 candlesticks. My favorite is the rooster... I LOVE the technique you used on him. He's perfect! You always do such a great job on all your projects.

I can’t believe how good the roster turned out and omg that planter😲 one of my favorite things I’ve seen you do besides that cute little pig on the enamel bowl of course 😃 I picked up a bunch of old bed posts to the pedestals/candle sticks also. Anyway good stuff lady thank you!
Hi Theresia! OH...that made my night to hear you were excited about to see today's video! Yea...I was really happy about how the Rooster came out!! No one would ever know that he fell out of the truck and his head had broken off! LOL I'm so glad that you liked the planter! I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with that box and after looking at my plants that I had...the idea just popped in my head that it would make such a nice planter! Anyway, thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to comment, Theresia!!!! You have a BEAUTIFUL night! XOXO

Great trash to treasure projects! The rooster looks new!🤩
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked the projects and yea...I don't think anyone would ever know that the rooster had fallen out of the truck and his head had actually broken off! I was so bummed when that happened and was glad that I could put him back together, maybe even better than he was before! Anyway, you have a WONDERFUL night and thanks for watching! XOXO
Very clever! Do you ever use any other colors above and beyond white black and grey?
As always what you do turns out so cute n fabulous. Got worried there as you were working on the rooster but you showed me it turned out better than before. That glue is awesome. Loved the table leg. So ornate n definitely different. To bad you couldn’t find the other 3 but what you did with the one leg looks so good. Loved the box turned into a planter, cute idea. I noticed on the candle sticks that you had some lavender plant beside it. Love lavender, did you grow that yourself? Can’t grow it in Florida to humid n can get to wet.
Kelly your a real clever lady ( mom too) . Always look forward to a new video. Keep up the great work. ♥️😊👍👍
Hi Shelly! I had to laugh when you said you were a little worried about the rooster as I was working on it! HEE HEE See...everything turned out ok and no one will ever know that he was headless at some point! LOL Thank you for saying that he turnout better than before! I think so too! And, yes...that glue is AWESOME! I usually use epoxy, but you have to wait for hours for epoxy to dry. This glue is instant...no drying time! I wish I could have found the other legs somewhere, because that one leg was just GORGEOUS....it would have made a nice table. After three years though....it was time to do something with it and the candlesticks where the perfect project!!! I don't grow the lavender that you seen in the cup, though. I actually bought that for the Vintage Market that we did and I had a few plants left over. I never knew that lavender wouldn't grow in humidity!!! And, you live in Florida, Shelly?!?!? I LOVE Florida...I'm trying to talk my husband into getting a place there when we retire! Fingers crossed! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Florida!!! Anyway, thanks again for all your sweet comments! I really appreciate that, Shelly! You have a BEAUTIFUL day, today! XOXO
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE Kelly, did you ever get that one comment from me about the measurements in making those cute little plant stools you made? I’m asking if you wouldn’t mind giving them to me. I’ve tried to find the video when you did it but I couldn’t find it again. I tried writing them down when you were doing it but I couldn’t stop the video to keep up. So I hope you don’t mind. I went out n bought all the materials but now I don’t have measurements. Thanks so very much Kelly. ♥️😊👍
amazing like always...suggestion lower the volume of the music....specially when u are talking Blessings to you and yours...
Love the Rooster!

Love the candlesticks! Now I hope you don’t find three others. If you do, well, you made these gorgeous pieces, so there you go! The chicken and planter are great too!
Hi Vivian! Yea...I probably will now that I cut it up! LOL I'm so glad to hear that you loved the projects this week!!! That really means a lot to me and I thank you for taking the time to let me know!!!! Well, you have a BEAUTIFUL night, Vivian! XOXO

Cute stuff, love the candlesticks
Thank you, Kim!!! XOXO Thanks for sharing which project was your favorite!!!!
Sherry this is the 73 year old Great Grandma I need I have a a rooster lamp and my dining room on my buffet I'd like you to do one in Grace if you have time so that I'll know how to do it thank you
Do you think that wood filler would work on paneling?
What accelerator spray did you use for the candlesticks?
Hi Pamela! The accelerator comes with the Starbond glue. You put a little of the glue on one part and then you spray the accelerator on the other part and when you join the two parts together there is an instant bond. If you go in the description of the video, there is a 10% coupon code for Starbond, if you are interested. Thanks, Pamela for watching and if you have any other questions...don't hesitate to ask! XOXO
Is the rooster made of cement, or resin, or something else? I have a cement angel I need to try to reattach the wing. Great tutorial today.
Hi Mitchel!!!! The rooster looks like it is some type of resin, but it also looks like they have some fiberglass fibers inside it to strengthen it. With that being said...it still was no match for the cement ground, as you saw! As far as, repairing your cement angel...I know that it can be done, because I bought a cement angel that had a repaired wing. You can still see the line of where it was repaired, but it definitely can be done. I would try epoxy. Epoxy is made for all kinds of materials. Or you could even go to home depot and look at the glues ....some will even say what they are best used for and you can pick the one that says it's for cement. Just put the glue on both sides, join it together...prop it tightly against something so it will bond good and you should be good! Hope that help, Mitchel! XOXO You have a BEAUTIFUL day!
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE Thank you so much.
The planter is supper cute. Would you consider to sell it. I’m very interested and if so how much
Hi Christine! Thank you for the interest in the planter box. If you want to email me at: fleamarketrescue@gmail.com I could get back with you about price and shipping cost. Ok? Thanks So Much! -Kelly
What tool are you using with the magic sculpt?
Hi Elizabeth. The tool I was using came in a pack of sculpting tools. It's wooden, however, I've used it so much with the magic sculpt that you can't even tell anymore! It's almost completely white! LOL But, yea...it's just a pack of sculpting tools, that are very inexpensive and I got them from JoAnn's. Hope that helps!
suggestion to avoid the wrong placement of an item (centering it) mark it with a pencil before gluing it...that goes if u are placing something front *up* side or under...specially with that type of glue that u do not have a second chance...the marking will help u to place the item right the first time...no off center ever again...
Thank you, Lolitabonita for the suggestion! I appreciate it! I am always trying to eyeball it and marking it with a pencil definitely would make it more accurate for sure! Thanks again for sharing and you have a BEAUTIFUL night, Lolitabonita! XOXO
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE with the new glue u are using eyeballing is risky lol
@@lolitabonita08 LOL You're probably right! HEE HEE

Your camera is too close. The rooster repair was excellent.
Thank you for letting me know....I'll try to back up a little more. Also, thank you for the compliment on the rooster! I really appreciate that! You have a WONDERFUL day, Linda! XOXO
don't alter the legs. It shows the charm.
2nd time I've watched you. Love your work BUT your camera needs to be where we can see all you're doing. Move it back or something so you're but having to lean the items over for us to see. That way we can see ALL that you do. Thanks!!!
Thank you for letting me know. I'll position the camera a little further next time. You have a GREAT day, today and thanks for watching, Leasa!
Rusty the Roosters. He made it through surgery.
Sherry, I think you are spraying your accelerant too quickly, use the glue, place the item and then spray the accelerant. You will have "some" working time with just the glue but as you learned the hard way (pun intended), once that accelerant is sprayed, it's stuck!
OH yea...that one candlestick was a little off and there was nothing I could do...it was a done deal once I placed those two pieces together after spraying the accelerator! LOL Anyway, thank you for the tip! I appreciate that! You have a WONDERFUL night, Christine! XOXO
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE it's a really cool product. I am thinking of ordering some.
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE Thanks for all zhe worjs with the translation... But , I meant the wooden coasters where you put the wooden feet on it
I' m comming from Germany
I would of did cayenne pepper, because he looks hot now 😂
Love some of your projects but don’t understand why you always spray paint on plastic bags and not a smoother surface like cardboard or newspaper. Seems so messy and you don’t get that finished look. I have gotten some good ideas from your channel. Thanks for that.
The glue isn't for me, it bonds way too fast. Having things off center would drive me crazy even if no one else noticed. The more you use it the more I know it would drive me crazy. It would have to be a perfect fit the first time, or trash...and that just doesn't happen. My glue has to be a little more forgiving.
