- In this week's Trash to Treasure, we're going to makeover these items that I found at the thrift store and by the curbside through DIY! They are going to look AWESOME! First, we'll take this vase that we got at the thrift store and with some paint and sanding will make it into something we can actually sell for a better price! Next, we'll take a little scooter that someone disregarded on the side of the curb for trash and turn it into a fun summertime project that we can display in our garden or on the porch! Lastly, we'll take some Roycycle Decoupage papers and makeover a plain old black tray that I got at the thrift store for $4.99. Plus, I have a BONUS project included at the end!!! So, if you're ready for this week's episode of Flea Market Rescue...then let's dive in!!!!

I like how you not only show the original price of the item but also go through the process of bringing a new life to them. And, include the price to sell them. As a new resales I am really learning alot from you. Thank you ! I love how the half urn came out.
Fabulous, my friend. So glad you said you’d clean up the glue you got on the countertop! Love, your twin! “Countertop that is”
😅😅😅
The little scooter is precious, but I absolutely love the black tray. It's stunning!! I had a hard time choosing it over the scooter. They both are very nice
Thank you so much, June! I'm so glad you loved the projects!!! I appreciate you watching and taking the time to let me know which project was your favorite! XOXO
I like the nest in the jar idea. I have found a few neat bird nests made out of the hair from my horses manes & tails. I'm going to try this to display them. I loved the green scooter! I always enjoy your videos. Thanks!
My son had one of these Lil trike things 37 years ago lol I ove this!!
Those wheels you made are amazing. Everything you do is pure alchemy.
AWHhh...that was the BEST comment! Thank you so much, Rosalie! You made my day! XOXO
What a find in that scooter! You are so clever to cot those pieces of wood you templates with the paper! Amazing! Love that tray too!
I absolutely adore the bicycle! Amazing! Bicycle
They turned out cute! Especially the wooden trike.❤
I just love the little scooter but they were all just beautiful ♥️💯🌹
Love them all. The first one was my favorite.
I loved them ALL. But that Scooter was too Great!
Loved all the projects 🤍🤍🤍🤍 and the sweet nest 🪺
Thank you, Cheryl! I'm so glad to hear that you loved the projects!!!! XOXO
You make that look so easy....lol
I love the armoire. I would take the second dress form and do the same thing on the bottom right. Love the scooter. Too sweet.
You are the BEST!
Awesome repair job on the little scooter. Love the green.
HaHa! Love when you have a bonus at the end!
Yep...I figured anyone who stuck around to the end would get one more project to watch! Thanks for watching, SK and you have a WONDERFUL day, today! XOXO
Wow! Love the way you figured out how to fix the wheel on the scooter!
Thank you, Deb K! Yeah...I knew when I saw it there on the side of the road...that I could totally fix it...it just needed a little engineering! HEE HEE Anyway, thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment, Deb! XOXO
Love the scooter Kelly so cute and from the trash OMgoodness. Donna xoxox
Love that little toddler trike, OMGosh so cute.
I know...I couldn't believe someone was actually throwing it out!!! It's definitely old! I guess they didn't want to fool around with the broken wheels! Anyway, I know it made my day, so I'm glad they did!!! Thanks for watching, Kate!!! XOXO
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE, I’d LOVE to find something like that. Although I do have an antique (as far as I know) iron wheel, wooden handle grips tricycle that needs a few repairs. Not painting that but seriously, that little scooter; 🥰
What a find that scooter. You did a great job on it. I really like the Gypsy Green color ( you got me hooked on it LOL)
It looks like someone hand made it. Super job at fixing the wheels. I loved that cabinet that you weren’t to happy at how it turned out. What a bummer huh? I’m sure in time the idea will pop in your head as what to do with it. Just a little time it’ll come to you. Now the jar was adorable. I like that cute idea my only dislike was the lid being white. It looked to stark. To me my eyes went right to the lid. I would of painted it n age it some as it’s been like that for years. I hope I didn’t offend you. You know I didn’t mean it friend. That was so cool what you did with ugly half vase. Now it’s a show stopper.
Sorry I missed you yesterday as I was so busy working in the yard that I forgot your videos are on Thursday. But here I am first thing this morning.
Have a super Friday Kelly.
♥️♥️😊👍👍 OXOX
I am a new subscriber today and look forward to catching up on your older videos and moving forward with you with more videos. My home is on the Alabama Gulf Coast and my style is traditional with some antiques.
Hi Victoria! Welcome! I'm so glad you found your way here to my channel!!! Yay!!! Hope you're enjoying the videos! I post a NEW video every week, so stay tune....I have a lot more to come! XOXO
I love a half anything for the wall that piece turned out great!
I can’t believe you found that old trike in the trash, what a find! My sister found two old cobblers benches in the trash. I kept them for myself!
Between you and Yvonne from Ginger Chick Rehab I am loving Roycycled paper. I have to get some. Maybe for m B-day!
Your videos are always wonderful!
Yes, I love Roycycled paper...it's BEAUTIFULLY designed!!! And, wow...that was a GREAT find...not one, BUT TWO cobbler benches! That's AWESOME!!! It's just amazing what people throw out, isn't it?!?!? Anyway, thanks for watching and for sharing!!! XOXO
I love all of these, Kelly! You've inspired me to go thrifting again real soon. That vase turned out gorgeous! The little scooter is adorable. Have a great weekend, say hi to Mom! 😄
Thank you, Mary!!! I appreciate that and I hope I'm not being a bad influence on you! HEE HEE I hope you finds tons of stuff on your thrifting adventure and I most certainly will tell my mom you said, "Hi"!!! Thanks Again. Mary and you have a GREAT day!! XOXO
Beautiful
Thank you, Betty!!! XOXO
Lovelovelove the scooter!!!
The scooter turned out so cute!
Thank you, Debbie!!! XOXO
I absolutely LOVE your flips. You're such an inspiration.
I have an old but sturdy and lovely tray that needs an uplift. Your tray will be my inspiration, but I will do my final seal with polyacrylic because it doesn't yellow. Thanks for your ideas.
Oh, PERFECT! I'm so glad you found the tray project inspirational and want to do that to the tray you have!!! It's super easy, Victoria!!! Thanks for watching and for taking the time to share!!! XOXO
I love the scooter
Great garden theme ideas! Love the little jar with the nest and eggs!
SO cute!
I absolutely love that hanging plant from Walmart. I used it for church arrangements with lavender n purple n white florals. Just did two half buckets ( galvanized) with just greenery and used that plant on each to where the bucket on the right it hung down on the left and vice a versa for the one on the left. They were placed on a tobacco basket that had a cotton wreath in the center. You are one amazing crafter. Turning that scooter into something so adorable.
Love them all. I really did like the start of the decoupaged cabinet. The trike was so cute. Love the roycycled papers. Thanks for all your hard work.
Hi Barbara! Did you like it? I don't know....as I stood back and looked at it....I was like...."No, I don't like this!"....so, I didn't want to invest anymore time in it. You know? I was already two hours in! LOL Oh well.... Anyway, yes....I love Rocycled Papers....she has the best graphics!!! This dress form on was my FAVORITE, so I'm glad I could use some of it on another project at least! Thanks for watching, Barbara and for the sweet comment! XOXO You have a GREAT day!
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE maybe just needs so Gold Guilding to lift the look ... I liked it x
You made this repair look so easy on that Scooter!
Great job, Kelly. You go way out in all your projects. You take pride de in your craft.
All of the projects turned out amazing!

That black tray is amazing love the print!
Love everything! Wowwwww that little scooter is looking fantastic! Love the gypsy green with the antiquing wax! The little nest in the jar is precious. Thank you, and have a great weekend!
More great projects Kelly, I really like where you were going on your furniture project I think you should just keep going til ya love it. It’s very steam punkish, Royce’s paper are gorgeous!! The more the better lol
Just to say you can rejuvenate rain deer Mose easy to shape well most dried moss will take water to shape it
Hola. Saludos desde Venezuela!!!!
Fab video 😀
Oh my goodness that planter looks like it came straight from France in early 1809s! 😳
Hey Kelly. That little trike is adorable. The color is perfect . I think you should keep working on the cabinet. You will figure it out. Some how I came across Royces site. I love her papers-! I love your channel, too. I re watch your videos a lot. I'm anxious to see the cabinet.
GREAT VIDEO.......
Thank you so much, Elaine!!! XOXO
How lucky to find that French vase. Our town has three GoodWill stores and nothing here like yours. I’m going to check out our second hand stores. Wish me luck!
Good job, your rescues look so beautiful😁👍🏻
Hi 1 Mezrahi! Yes, our Thrift stores are really good around here! There are like four of them within a five minute radius of where I live, which is good and bad!!! Good in that I'm able to find stuff...bad in that...I find TOO much stuff, where my husband has to ask...."Now, what are you going to do with that????" LOL Anyway, wishing you luck on your adventure! Yes, try different places, even if you have to go to the next town....you never know what you might find!!! XOXO Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment!
Hi Kellly I love the trike but you gave yourself extra work by fixing it wheels x I think it would have sat flatter with the broken bits left off but nonetheless it is lovely 🥰
Love watching you. You make me chuckle bc you must be very neat. When you painted the half vase, you didnt put down paper or anything and then you sanded. Ok how do you keep your kitchen clean ? I'm a mess when i do something.
Love that scooter!
New subscriber, loved them all, tfs
Hi Linda! Welcome! I'm so glad you found you're way here to my channel!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I post a NEW video every week, so stay tune....I have a lot more to come!! XOXO
I love all your things you remake ❤️ but I'm always surprised that you don't use a drop cloth or even some newspaper on your counters, I would make such a mess.
Yea...I'm just crazy like that, Laura! HEE HEE Sometimes, I do...depending on which project I'm working on and if I think it's going to get REAL messy. My counter is so old....it's like 20 years old and has seen its share of projects. When I get a new counter top....I probably won't be as daring, though! LOL Anyway, thank you for the sweet compliment on the things I remake! I really appreciate that!!! XOXO
New Sub - LIKED - great talent - thanks
Hello there! I've been enjoying watching your videos. That being said, I thought about rescuing our old pergola that is peeling and already have some rust. . Could you please tell what I can do with it and the materials I need to purchase.
Kelly, where is Utica market? I’d like to go.
That first vase would have sold for about £40 here!
Do you ever press your paper before modpodging?
Where do you buy the glass cleaner?
I was hoping you would have used nails along with the glue on the trike and glue on the greenery and eggs to ensure it would stay in place.
Hi Rosie! When doing repairs...yes, sometimes using nails is necessary, like if you have heavy pieces that you want to make sure are safely in place, however, for this project it wasn't necessary. The pieces I cut out were very small and light. That Titebond is so strong....you don't have to worry once it's dry!! Well, you saw me with the sander....those pieces weren't coming off! Have you ever used Titebond? It's AWESOME for wood projects! Also, with this being wheels...you don't want all these nails in it! Now, on the nest...if you want to use some glue...that's totally understandable and you can totally do that! Hope that answers some of your concerns. Thanks for watching! XOXO
My paper always bubbles and wrinkles. I know I just watched the whole process but what is the trick to preventing this?
Oh this one had wrinkles, too...but you just have to smooth them out as best you can and then apply the mod podge on top. After it dried over night....I really didn't see the wrinkles...it seemed to flatten out and shrink the paper back. The fool proof method, though, to assure you aren't going to get any bubbles or wrinkles is to spray the back with clear coat. This works every time! I was just tired and didn't take the time to do it with this project but this trick works! I learned that from Sweet and Sassy Treasure who does a lot of decoupage...it was the best tip! Hope this helps, Karen! XOXO
You really used a lot of mod podge??? Does it normally need that much??
That piece is meant to be removable so that the cart will stay stationary.
How do you put bike in garden without grand kids wanting to ride it?
Is anybody having problems getting to her Etsy shop?
Hi a ch! Sorry, you're having trouble finding my Etsy shop but here's a direct link to it: www.etsy.com/shop/FleaMarketRescue Just click on the link and it will take you there! XOXO
I don’t like the Annie dark wax, made it look dirty
