I really appreciate your creativity. I recently retired after being a special needs caseworker for more than 20 years. Didn't get rich making a living that way, so your ideas are helping me to look at things i find at thrift stores and yard sales differently. Having a wonderful time updating my home on a budget.
Appreciate your GENIUS hack to repair those soft-woven baskets which have a couple of minor flaws. :) And to anyone reading this: NEVER allow a small budget to keep you from curating a beautiful and welcoming home. I created a lovely home for us---99% of which was DIY'd and for less than pennies on the dollar. Have even been asked before if I had an interior designer come do our house. LOL What a compliment!! And I don't have half as many power tools as Fia. If I can do it, YOU can too!!
@@HorrorStoriestoTellintheDark It suites our space, and all the goofy fixed elements of our humble abode, like the ton of red distressed brick we have, etc. Ours is a rental house, with the goofiest of floor plans, which dates back to the 1950's. It's a place of extremes....what's good about it is GREAT (the brick, big yard, etc) but what's 'not so good' is horrid. And I have to 'make do' with it all for the time being. :) Through thrifting and DIY'ing (99% of which came from a tiny thrift store up the street, as there are no other big places like Goodwill anywhere near me), I've been able to transform our ENTIRE HOUSE for under $500..over a sourcing period of about 6 months. . And I'm talking EVERYTHING...sofas, loveseats, accent chairs, lighting fixtures, area rugs, original artworks, throw pillows, side, sofa and coffee tables, bookshelves, art objects, etc. I did not have to compromise on quality or condition of the pieces, either. It's all the 'good stuff' Fantastic finds. can be had ALL THE TIME from thrift stores. And it's within EVERYONE'S reach to get the same results as me. Have found the process to be both rewarding and empowering as well, if that makes any sense. :)
Ah Fia, how do you do it every week? You are never at a loss for ideas. You are so good with the saw. I really have to learn one day. You make decorating on a budget so tangible for all of us. I applaude you!!! You are simply Brilliant!! 😊
I am always just in awe with everything you do…..you are extremely talented!!!!!….a big hello and hug from a follower in Montreal, Canada ( please don’t stop YouTubing…i look forward to it every Sunday ) ❤
Hey fellow Montrealer! 😊 Fia is so wonderful isn't she. It is incredible what she can do with thrifted items. I have been following her for a while now. She never ceases to amaze me. I thrift but our stores here are just okay compared to what I see youtubers find in the U.S. My usual is Villages des Valeurs and Renaissance.
I love your description of painted designs on thrift store vases! 😂 “some sort of situation”. I think that will go through my head the next time I find a beautifully shaped vessel with, shall we say, unique embellishments.
Another great video that has beautiful ideas. I really like the wood houses with candle holders. I think if I cut the base off those similar candle stands from dollar tree I could recreate them easily. I also loved your gift basket suggestions.
Love that painting 2:40 on the stand on the table with the magnolia stems. I Can’t find it anywhere, can you share where you got it??? I LOVE all your videos! You are very creative!!!
Love that painting on the stand on your entry table. Can’t find it anywhere, can you share where you got it??? I LOVE all your videos! You are very creative!!!
I have that magazine rack at 10:11! Its vintage now, but goes well with the mahogany Victorian furniture. It has a little drawer in it as well. I think little things like that are quite versatile as well... look very traditional, which is coming back strong, but I thought record albums would work well in it. Im sure the center is easily removed, then there are endless ideas... just saying, cool projects everywhere 😊❤
As always, I'm blown away! I especially loved the lamp and the Christmas pot that you created from the white vase and wreath you almost donated. You're amazing! ❤
Well, crud... I didn't want it to end! 😂 You are so talented and creative! I just love watching your videos every Sunday! I love all of these, but my favorite is the table! (You have no idea how you inspire and motivate me!!)
I’m so jealous of you not only having a goodwill bin by you but the great retail stores in order to get your ideas. Of course I wouldn’t have your vision anyway. To not only have a vision but to know how to achieve it is a great gift.
The wooden shelf with the pegs that they had listed for $128 looks just like the shelves we had back in the 1980s. Over the past year I picked up at least three of those at the thrift store for about five bucks each. I cannot believe anyone would pay $128 for that. Love all the things you are doing on your channel.
Oh those houses & paper holder are gorgeous!! Everything is beautiful! Your creativity blows my mind every week! I have a question 🙋🏼♀️ what brand or kind of spray paint do you recommend for wood? I have some big houses I thrifted. They are a wood base and a tin roof. I’d love to paint them to match the rest of my decor. I love Hearth & Hand & that’s what type of look I’d love to incorporate in my Fall & Christmas decor. Thank you again for the inspiration week after week. You are the best!!!! Sending much love & positivity to you & your family. 🍁🌲
I love your videos and creativity. Sadly there is not one thrift store in my area that carry the items like you find. Not one, but we continue the search.

I don't think I've ever seen a dupe you have made that I didn't like. Everything is doable. Thank you.
Everything was fantastic, but I especially loved the basket ideas and the basket repair. Truly a winner. Thank you for the video!💛

Those little houses with the candles are a brainstorm!! So cute and simple...not primitive, but perfect.
