Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I'm a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.
I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.

Man I bought the Harrier about 3 years ago, decided it was annoying and then stopped trying to use it.. After learning the F-18, suddenly the Harrier is my new favorite module. Both are SO MUCH different than the F-16, which is "my module." Thanks for the info dude.
I mean seriously, the Harrier isn't the most "integrated" jet, but it has conveniences I wish every other module had!

Tricker, thank you for doing these little refresher videos. They are a huge help when I am away from these plane for awhile.
Thx for this, T. The Harrier has been one of the most convoluted planes to operate, I’ve found. Probably just my stupidity, but it seems the sensors etc are the least intuitive in a stable of unintuitive 80s style computer interfaces on DCS 4th-gen planes and watching this for the 3rd or 4th time (with a bunch of head scratching flights in between) has finally brought some of it into focus.
And as much as I love the US Marines and historical accuracy, I really enjoy RAF or RAN colours on a Harrier. It just feels right to someone who remembers the Falklands War. :D.
Just had an attempt at a mission in the Kerman Campaign by Ground Pounder Sims and managed to get the GBU 12 away after many active pauses while reading the chucks guide! Unfortunately the bomb did not hit my target and I now realise I ether didn’t set up the laser code correctly or I didn’t arm the laser after it was dropped! Wish I watched this refresher first but thanks for the tutorial it will surely help me nail the target next time
Perfect, great stuff as always, Tricker!
Harrier is such a beautiful aircraft to just watch, great video!
Love your videos, always clear and concise. Also great thumbnails!
Another excellent video, Tricker, kudos to you. I'll certainly give it a go when next I fly my AV8B.
Hey Tricker, I am absolutely thankful for your videos. This in addition to Chuck‘s Guides is the most fun way for me to master aircrafts in DCS!
Btw still hoping for a LJDAM tutorial for the Harrier ;)
I’ll see what I can do!
Flashbacks to the Baltic Dragon Harrier campaign, it was great hearing you as one of the wingmen.
Didn t know about this campaign. Where can I find it?
I have actually gotten my head around the sensor select and the tgp mechanics in the Harrier recently, after months of frustration. And it's very intuitive. It also has navflir, which I didn't realise.
Nice job as always...off to try it out now!
Best video yet 🎉. You’re the awesomest
Thank you very much! Just what I needed 👍🏻
Another great tricker Harrier video
Cheers for the livery link RAF FTW!
Nice one Yarr !
man, i love the harrier, but when I first trained in it, and the state its in now... its like night and day. I have to go back through all the tutorials again. i've been waiting to do so until it stabilizes. any idea if they are going to be making any sweeping changes again any time soon?
This has been the most stable it’s been in awhile
@@TrickerDCS Roger that, I guess I'll try to unlearn the old workflow this weekend.. Muscle memory is a PITA some times :p
Sir, I'm curious how long ago this was recorded compared to posted. It seems you can no long mount two GBU-12s like you have. It was a moment of confusion when I tried setting up a version of this for practice in the editor.
What are the binds to manually zoom in/out on the tpg? I never can find it, I have to use the osb switches
It’s the osb buttons unfortunately, they are bound
I am having some problems with the bomb tracking even though the laser was armed and locked onto a target. I did everything and for some reason acts dumb. Could you help me on this.
Fire the laser AFTER bomb release?
Have they changed it again? I cant find the "12" on the ehsd screen, only on the stores and dmt screens, and when I do theres no option to "designate." If I just ignore that step there is no option for laser on the targeting pod screen.
Never mind, I'm stupid. I still had ins ground align on, I forgot to change it to nav mode. Also I suspect I saw "trng" and didn't realise I had to click on it to make it say laser.
Ohh that's what MT stands for... 😅
What is the hotas command for laser?
No HOTAS command, it’s actually the middle OSB button I have bound where “Fire” is located
I map this (and TGP zoom MFD buttons) to my TMS since I have the Warthog stick and the Harrier/Hornet stick has one less hat.
Right OSB 8
Hey I have a question, not related to this video but I was wonder how you got your gun to sound like this in this video: ruclips.net/video/Bj8Ta-WS_Fo/видео.html sorry for it not being related to this video but I haven't been able to figure it out
look up echo 19 sound mod for the f18
@@TrickerDCS thank you so much
Can I get a free AV-8B Harrier lol
