Restoring a broken Aquarium - I did it!🤩

- I remembered that a damaged aquarium has been gathering dust in the basement for about 5 years. I came up with a new project idea, so I thought I'd fix it because a tank like this isn't cheap. Originally, I only had to replace one side, but of course, things got complicated. I had to dismantle the whole thing and put it back together because the old adhesive was of poor quality. At first, I almost decided to forget about it, but in the end, I did it. I was nervous because I've never done anything like this before, but the end result turned out quite well. Initially, I didn't want to make a separate video about it, but eventually, I decided to show you the process.

Now that's "starting an aquarium from scratch". Another of your wonderful videos, for me they are all small works of art. with absolutely unmatched quality. You will always be the best by far.
A big hug from Germany 👍❤️
You're always so kind, thank you very much for the support!🤩
Excellent, really well explained, I assume you didn't cut the replacement end panel to size yourself, I haven't had a lot of success cutting glass. You carrying the tank alone from the basement did rather unsettle me, carrying even a modest sized tank from awkward locations is quite dangerous, I once brought a tank down from a loft alone, I was lucky, but never again. Your new found skills with silicone sealant glue are impressive, though I did once repair a window with silicone rather than putty and it was one of my few genuine DIY successes. Please continue to make such great content, minor cuts on the hands with glass are part of the process, a bit like minor hand burns for chefs, but please take care carrying a glass box without help nobody wants abdominal or chest or neck incisions from broken glass, potentially fatal.
Thanks mate!
Your video skills are tops. What a process to re-build this tank. I’ll look forward to your update video . Have a great week.
Thanks mate!
So glad you are cycling that nice glass. Too many items end up in the trash that can be fixed and reused. Thank you! I love your videos.
All glass is recycled
Great video . I like the calmness. Thank you.
The tank looks amazing! It would have been a shame to throw it out. Great job restoring it. Can't wait to see how you scape and stock it:)
Nicely restored 😊😊
Nice work. I appreciate the effort you put into making your videos, they are relaxing and enjoyable to watch. Thanks
Good job Bud. Watch the glass I have soft hands as a Plumber 😄I wear gloves, you are some tough 🤔. Loved the new video, always miss seeing you Cheers!
Thanks buddy for the support! I hate wearing gloves, but I might use them next time.
This is the way :)
Hi, I've been waiting for your next adventurous video about fish tank. Anyway, good to see you still swimming in comments. 🐋
A bamboo project is incoming! Very interesting
Great job Mate!
Thank you!
Super vidéo, merci!
Your hands.... AhHH I'm feeling it!!!
That’s amazing
nice, looks good. I made a similar one from an old aquarium, looks daunting but was easy enouth for me, it will be a great feeling when yiu set this up again
Very nice job. Looks great
1:30 In my country glass workers are allowed to have some low level of alcohol in their blood (something like 0.3 ˚%), because of all the random cuts.
It's really hard not getting cut when working with glass panes. I never dared to reseal whole aquarium, but I glued in some internal sumps and always ended up with cuts. It's probably best to wear some special gloves. De-greasing solutions are also aggressive. Be it paint thinner, tech. gasoline or the Isopropylalcohol.
That said, the resealed tank looks great!
Such an amazing process to watch, thank you for sharing your success and failure as an aquascaper! It's amazing to see how you brought this back to life
Thank you 🤩
Glad to be one of your subscriber!!!

Your designs are always just gorgeous! I also always love your musical selections. ❤🎉
Thank you!🙌
@@TheCineScaperI hope you will find some comfortable gloves to protect your hands. I found some thin cotton gardening gloves with rubber fingertips, and they work for many projects 🎉
Bravo from Romania Dracula land ❤🎉
like the view. nice job 👍🏻 😊
Nice video, always soothing. Keep up the goodwork 🎉
Brother uff i used to be tired waiting for your video every evening scrolling at the profile thinking if you had put some videos
Bro I like your BGM❤✨💀
Can I ask, what do you do with all of these aquariums etc? If you want to do a new scape do you breakdown and old one and start fresh? If so how do you manage the livestock, do you waste the substrate or reuse etc?
Ça alors il fallait y penser qu elle bonne idée mais encore faut-il en etre capable bravo.la dernière image laisse présager quelque chose de tres sympa.hate de voir la suite.
When you started applying silicone, a thought struck me and was waiting till the end of the video before commenting. I wanted to say that you should've pasted making tape before silicone to avoid spreading. But, then you just wet the glass and removed excess silicone....! To think how much time i wasted sticking and re sticking the making tape 😩😩
This is the simpler and faster way, but using masking tape can result in a nicer outcome.
I have a 40 litre tank..but I don’t know how much substrate I should get..please recommend
Great video, question What is that warm orange light you have coming from under the table at the end? I’ve seen it in several of your videos and love the effect
Thanks! Godox tl30

Ezt rendesen vègigizgultam😅
Én is nyugi, remegett a kezem végig 😂
Should have used rubbing alcohol instead of thinner, masking tape instead of ductape and you could have masked the edges. But you did okay for your first build.
Thanks for the tips, I'll refine my technique for the next aquarium.
Also, in a case like this degreasing is not the most important part. It is actually removing silicone. Silicone leeks basically liquid silicone which covers all surfaces near it. Use silicone remover instead of paint thinner! Very important! That's what Paintshops use.
@@citizen.baatorium3776 True, silicone needs to be gone, but also the glass edges need to be degreased. I had some trouble attaching 3D background because of the latter.
Please use gloves the next time you are doing this 🧤
