Yea, those china seeds looks great at first but nightmare in the end.... thanks for sharing... just start with traditional carpeting plants...

Yes, they do and it's good to find out first hand. I will replace them with the usual carpet plants in time. Thanks for dropping by, Jimmy! I appreciate it. 😊

Love Iwagumi setups. You make me want to try one. Do they have to have cO2?

I have been wanting to try it out too and was influenced to buy seeds. The online website showed n wrote that they are carpeting plants. Well, i guess I've learned a good lesson from this.
If you'd like the carpet plants to grow n spread faster, CO2 definitely helps out. Else, it will take a long time to see the plants to carpet. Good luck and let me know how yours turns out, Caeden! 😉

I USEED THOSE SEEDS IN MY TANKS BUT BECAUSE I KNEW WHAT THEY DID I DIDN'T USE IT AS A CARPET. I PUT IT ON UGLY DRIFT WOOD AND USE IT A BACKGROUND PLANTS. THEY STICK PRETTY GOOD TO THE WOOD AFTER A WHILE AMD DONT SEEM TO SPREAD OFF THE WOOD SO IN MY CASE IM HAPPY IV BEEN LETTING A PATCH GROW TO SEE HOW BIG IT GET AND SO FAR ITS AT LEAST A FOOT AND SEEMS TO STOP.

The online advertising n video suggested that it's a carpeting plant so I was led to believe it was. N well, I guess thats what i deserve for buying a product from China with no English translation. 😅🤦🏻‍♂️

    Fun!
I left the lid half off my dry-start as I was worried about mould.

I did leave some gap but my mistake was not adding lots of water to the aquasoil on the first attempt. 😅
What did u plant for ur dry start?

@MSAquascaping only dwarf hair grass. It was my first time trying it and it took ages. Not sure I'd do it again...
