SVSSS is genuinely the best mxtx fandom like theyre just chill and unhinged and sooo funny with little to none drama (opposite from... others). All of that while ALSO having the best fanfics and writers too. Love it

I think it’s a common phrase in China that is like “They know me better than the tapeworm living in my stomach” or that “I want to know you so well I want to be the tapeworm inside your stomach” or maybe sv has corrupted my head and I just adopted that line into my lexicon.

To be serious for a moment, despite its premise and the quirks of the fandom (said with love) svsss is a genuinely touching and surprisingly angsty novel parodying book tropes and the literary experience as a whole, and it’s very near and dear to my heart. Read it.
On a less serious note, a month ago I saw a post about an au where they’re praying mantises and binghe eats shen yuan so this sort of post isn’t all out of the ordinary. Just that it went viral is.

4:25 so apparently it was a redraw of a piece of art from the Clarence fandom where some characters were also drawn inexplicably as hairless cats. Mind you that art did not have the... anatomical detail that the skinzun art has.

I think the skin creature is just a phenomenon that occurs in fandoms. I've seen Breaking Bad and Seinfeld ones. I made a version for Shadow Man from Mega Man. People love making humans have grotesque animal bodies and also babies.
I'm so happy SVSSS got its little spotlight (no matter the reason LMAO). Its younger siblings are definitely way popular but SVSSS is my favorite MXTX novel! Shizun for the win!

I’ve read the first book in the SVSSS series and it’s great I’ve also read all of MXTX’s other works. Personally Heaven Official’s Blessing is my favorite but that also may be contributed by the fact that it was my first introduction into the entire Danmei fandom. So it will always have a special place in my heart. I’m not going to argue with you about SVSSS cause all of her works are amazing it’s just HOB is my favorite

Honestly I'm not surprised that this is happening. When you mentioned how dormant the material was in the other official mediums like the show and the comic, I figured it was only a matter of time before someone snapped from the frustration, causing others to also come to the same realization as well and follow through. That's just my observation tho as someone not in this fandom, so it might not be accurate
