I tell y'all what I am a 52 year old black woman and love Korn their music is like no other I almost wrecked my 1985 Rivera. with huge wheels when got to life song came on radio I was rocking to this song korn is just like no other great band
Yep, that's the whole nu metal genre as a whole though, right? That's one of the best parts about nu metal, all the members are equally important and all play their own crucial role in the band. The music nu metal bands create is simple yet very effective, much like Nirvana's music in my opinion.

The first time I heard “ARE YOU READY!!!” come through my buddy’s speakers is a moment that is burned into my mind and soul forever. Awesome memory 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Same...80s Cutlass..senior year...subs in the back, and he hits play. He went on to get huge with steroids and ended up running a nutrition store for years in a mall.
I was a teen in Cuba, didn't understand a dam word in english but the power and anger and the noise, i fell in love with Korn since day one. One of my all time favourites bands. 🤘🤘🤘
I was in primary school in cuba when I first listened to untouchables, en 5to grado. I instantly felt at home listening to korn on repeat for years cuz nama tenia un cassette. Volao saber que habian mas chamacos descubriendo korn en cuba.
One of my main rules for my kids was never bully others and defend those being bullied. I never knew it, but all through high school my son routinely defended and included a boy named David. David has asbergers. David’s Dad came up to me at graduation and told me that he appreciated my son’s kindness and inclusion of David in HS. I was proud of my son. Kids are very cruel. I was cruel to others in HS and feel horrible about it to this day.
That's awesome man! I hope to instill that mindset in my daughter. I was bullied mercilessly all throughout k-12 to a point I've blakced it all out. After watching a few of these nu metal documentaries on this channel it finally dawned on me (as in, i finally have the words to express) why, even tho I'm an inner city black girl, my the words of these bands spoke to me so much. Reflecting on this as an adult is wild!
Bullying makes people stronger. It's up to the parents to teach children how to process bullying. My mother always said just agree with them for everything no matter what they say and I did and it worked. The bullies had no fuel anymore because "I was everything they said I was". It's reverse psychology and it works. Plus if no bullying, no korn lol
KoRn, Manson, Zombie, Nirvana and NIN all helped me get through my f**ked up teenage years. Between school and home life. Their music and video games gave me an escape. I still listen to all of these guys and more today.
im just picturing you in a corner crying with a disheveled dunce cap and your mouth zippered shut with a straitjacket on and theres a shadow of a step-father towering over you and a torn up teddy bear at your feet, why are the eyes ripped out of the teddy bear? WHY ARE YOU TAKING IT FROM MEEEEEEEEEEEE. MYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
I grew up in Oildale for most of my life. I still live in Bakersfield, but I live more in the Rosedale area nowadays. I moved several times to Florida, and Texas, but I always ended up coming back to Oildale. I remember when there was nothing but old houses, and oil fields for miles. Now it has gotten a lot better, but certain parts of Oildale are still pretty ran down, and the people are still the same.
I can remember discovering Korn. I was watching the music video for Freak on a Leash on MTV, being hypnotized with the bullet. Then came Jonathan's vocal moment ending with Go! Followed by the most heavy chords after that. Giving goosebumps and thinking "wow, what is this sensation!?"
yeah, if it wasnt for MTV i wouldnt have known KoRn.. after listening to follow the leader, i went to listen their first and 2nd.. Clown is my favourite, and i even play in a KoRn cover band.. theres something Cool about playing KoRn music at that time..
Jonathan is so underrated its ridiculous! His vocals are something out of this world! So beautiful, powerful & full of raw real emotion I love it! I love you JDevil!!! First heard Korn at age 7 & still at 32 going strong with one of my fave bands of all times! So blessed to have been born in the late 80s raised in the 90s early 00s!! Such an amazing time to have been alive & will never have another time like it
Many you guys make me feel old. I was born in 1976, loved Korn and still do. All I listen to with my 12 year old son is tge 80' 90's metal. Great eea of music that I don't think will ever be replicated.
How you figure he’s underrated? I fuckin hate when people say that especially for one of the biggest bands in the world. That was a really dumb thing to say. Underrated according to who?
@@Deenaderka99 He isn't underrated. My 70 plus year old parents know who KoЯn are. A lot of fans don't understand how popular they were back in the 90s. A lot of fans in the comment section weren't even born during the 80s so they have no clue!
When I was 13, freak on a leash hit, as a skinny white boy from near branson missouri, I grew up surrounded by hicks listening to country music. Needless to say korn was a formative part of my youth. They have always been one of my favorites. I was lucky enough to see them live about 2 weeks ago in Springfield mo. And for a band going on 30 years on the road, they have one of the tightest, well planned live shows I have ever seen. Every single band member 100% on point and giving it their all. Thank you korn....
I was born in 94, my dad plays guitar and drums and loved Korn... so I was raised on them. Used to fall asleep in front of my dads amp while he practiced their music. Still my favorite band to this day!
So cool, your parents must have been fairly young when they had you? I was born in 93, had to discover korn on my own, the heaviest thing my parents liked was sabbath, not even 80s rock n roll or metal (they were already adults then).
Born in 94 as well and my dad loved showing me bands like this.... nowadays I come across all this gold and I share it with him like he didn't hear it first
I was introduced to Korn in high school 2 days after the issues cd came out. Korn and Kittie we're the first two rock groups I ever heard and Korn is permanently apart of my soul. Grew up with them, still loving them, still listing to them, still grateful for them. Korn kept me alive for a fact. I owe them everything.
Korn is great but they can't hold a bloody candle to Pantera for the 90s! Pantera stayed true to the roots of metal, kept it alive and made it more brutally honest than ever b4! When at the same time the metal fad was spandex, make up, hair, ballads and an all around pussification! I reveal in the fact that that crap is dead age gone! Metal is king, long live the king!
@@moshfreak900 Pantera started out as a hair band. Lol which I don't have anything against. Just brought it up because you mentioned hair bands. Pantera and Korn are in separate sub-genres of metal. Both are iconic and have forever left imprints in the Metal world.
@junior leave that unnecessary hate out, Pantera is touring again and doing well! Everybody has struggles, I know for a fact you do too and you are not perfect.
I’m 34. Listened to Korn a ton in high school with my black and blue hair, along with Tool and NIN. Good times. That music got me through a lot. Soothed my soul. Still does.
The first song I heard by Korn was " Shoots and Ladders" and I thought they were brilliant!!! I was not wrong....saw them in 1996 when they opened for Ozzy....amazing show!
They were definitely an explosive live band. I hadn't gotten into them too much, but they opened with Flotsam and Jetsam for Megadeth in 95 (I think), and once I saw them, I was hooked.
It is brilliant!! The first time I heard it I got chills from the first note... and cried at the end but at the time didn't know why. Pure emotion . That's what making music's about. Ripping out your heart and soul for all to see. For me anyway 🤘🏻
@@briancannon3987 Yeah, but most people do unspeakable things throughout their lives, the only difference with J.D is he is ballsy and doesn't care what people think so he will document his life for everyone to see! Growing up in Bulgaria in a disfunctional abusive family, today I know they really saved my life. I still work on the trauma and their music still helps me process my feelings and the memories. I will forever be grateful for Korn and their music.
That’s good to hear. The type of familial abuse and trauma that never goes away, but nevertheless becomes easier to handle and eventually understand one day. I’m sorry you had to go through such unwarranted agony and unbelievable loss. Keep fighting on and walk forward with your head looking forward to the future.
Korn saved me. i love their shows. i’m young so i didn’t get to experience their growth. but their music helps express my pain. i love watching these documentary’s.
For years, I couldn’t figure out why I loved KORN so much. Now I do. I am one of the forgotten, even today as an adult. So a major Thank You to KORN for everything! love just a loner n Utah ❤
I mean I love this music/scene and I was never bullied in high school. I loved high school. We pretty much owned our school as Juniors but we would stick up for the kids being bullied by jocks. That was part of a problem we had with the jocks who were seniors when we were juniors. They didn’t like we owned the school since seniors are supposed to top ppl on campus. Plus they were bullies cuz they were all rich. Like their families. Don’t worry about it my guy. I know it’s hard now but trust me, in the grand scheme of life none of this shit matters. Just keep up getting good grades and when you get to being a junior it’ll be a distant memory. I wish I could go back and care more about my schoolwork than getting fucked up with my friends.
As if Skool doesn't sux enough already. Here's a life lesson I learned back in the day, "It's not what we go through in life but how we go through life" keep your head up and stay cool, don't mind the bullies like you don't have a care in the world bro
I first heard of Korn when I saw them live in October 1994. I went to a Danzig show at the then Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio. There were two opening bands, first Korn, then Marilyn Manson. I had just turned 14 a month before the show. I’ll never forget it. It was an amazing experience and a pretty surreal lineup to think about these days.
Amazing right?!? I saw Korn and the Deftones at Lupos in Providence in '95. I don't care what anyone said then, and I care less now. We were there for something very special.
That tour was the first I'd heard of and seen both Korn and Marilyn Manson. I went to see Danzig. However, I was far more impressed with the two opening acts than with Danzig. 😂😂. Been listening to them ever since.
One of my favorite Korn memories. Korn was doing a big promo for Follow the leader and did a record store signing. I heard about this on the radio and drove like 2 hours to this record store outside of the Detroit area. They showed up in the back of a monster truck (big foot/grave digger style). The line was immense, but they were so cool and took time to talk to everyone that came thru that line. It was my first time meeting BIG rock stars and my eyes must have looked like hub caps because when i moved down the table to Munky , he looked up at me and smiled...said..."hey man, you ok?" I just shook my head and barely got out a "yeah" because i was tongue tied. Fast forward to just a a few years ago when they did short anniversary run of that album and played a few select cities in smaller venues, i saw them at the Masonic theater in SF. They played just about the entire album and did a few of their most popular tracks. The show was off the (wallet) chain!!! :)
When people say: “soundtrack of my youth” (I listened to all kinds of music, but was mostly a teenage classic rocker of the 90’s)… but MY youth is this. I was 16, sitting in my English class… I had a Walkman with a cd and ear phones. I’ll never forget it. Then I was 17, had an older boyfriend with a black ford single cab truck that “bumped”. He was wild. We drove fast on the freeways of California headed to Newport Beach. I’ll never forget it. These types were my people. Those were the days. Pagers were a thing. No social media. Our relationships with others was more genuine. So, it was dark, because it was real life. This music HIT back then.
Korn were the first and best nu metal band of all time! Bands like LimpBizkit, SlipKnot, Coal Chamber, and Papa Roach really have KoRn to thank for their music careers!
@@dekapitatorr I'm not saying they don't stand on their own, but they surely were inspired by KoRn! Corey has admitted on video to that, look up the video on RUclips "Corey Taylor "I was blown away by Korn"
@@dekapitatorr Well, I've heard rumors that the K in SlipKnot, how they capitalize the K, I've heard multiple rumors that they did that as a tribute to KoRn! So, they were definitely inspired by them and they were obviously huge fans!
I was a teenager in highschool when i heard about Korn. I loved them instantly. They become my No.1 band, and they still are even today. Funny how quickly time goes by. ✨
Been a fan since 93 my friend was in a band and we would go to Bakersfield almost every weekend this went on 92-93 and because of my friend we met Korn and had beers with all the time! Good times 🤘 Korn 4Life 🤘🤘🤘 o
Your lucky bro. I've always wanted to meet and chill with these guys! I've too been a fan since the release of there 1st self titled!!! Ive never felt the way way I do about Korn for another band! Lol I literally love this band! My loves go Korn, my wife and kids, and lastly my family. But everyone knows Korn is 1st! Lol
I feel ya! I spent the weekend with them in 97 lollapalooza Raleigh Charlotte NC. BEST WEEKEND OF MY LIFE! We watched Holyfield/Tyson fight with tool and Snoop and Snoop smoked MY weed! 🤣
Saw them in 2000 during their Issues tour. One hell of a concert and one i'll never forget. I loved when the show started off with Davis playing the bagpipes. Definitely a band you must see live!
That's a great band for you! The great bands are the ones you see in concert and you never forget that experience, I can relate when I saw Pantera live it was amazing and it still feels like it happened recently because I will never forget that experience of seeing Pantera live! Coal Chamber is another one I'll never forget.
Korn has been my favorite band since their first release. Seen them live 5 times now I believe. Seeing them in 2019 after so many years was just as good, if not better! They have one of the best live performances hands down!
most def, i tried to goto every show when they came through d.c./maryland/virginia area. somewhere around 16 shows until i moved out to ohio 6 years ago.
Yea I can feel that. I grew up on 70s and 80s rock so rock was like my parent music. Nothing wrong with that but I was a predominantly rap listener but Korn gave me my own rock they didn't share in and new appreciation it! The heavy basslines and the bit of rap/rock of "numetal" appealed to kids like me. Too many bands tried to do it and ruined the sound but Korn man nothing sounds like Korn man that band is still my shit
I feel you brother, I just saw KoRn for the first time live in 2021 and Staind opened up for them, it was awesome! I'm going to try to see them 2 more times before 2023 hits!!
Awesome the connection different eras and styles of music can create! Its art itself. Musical evolution is ever evolving. But POP music has really become dumbed down and stale. Glad I grew out of POP when GNR Use your Illusion came out and Alternative Nation happened at Eastern Creek back in 95. Expanded my musical tastes to levels I never knew.
@@trevor5071 Literally pretty much any human being who lives in the USA over the age of 38 has most likely heard Korn before. They were a household name back in the 90s, even if you hated the band literally every one had friends or family members who was absolutely obsessed with them! You would go to the mall on the weekends and there would be people dressed up like Marilyn Manson with the makeup on their face and everything, looking just like Manson, and you would see Korn shirts everywhere too! They were more than a band. They took such a dark and angry path that no other band threw out. I'm 35 years old and korn was my favorite band them and Alice in chains. One of my first concerts as a teen was Pantera with Korn opening up for them in like 1994 or 95 at Red Rocks amphitheater in Colorado. Was one of the best shows I've ever seen right below Tool that same summer at Red Rocks also. Great documentary thanks

Just once I want to watch a documentary about a band that's like "Everyone actually grew up pretty happily. They're just really good at writing good songs." It'd only be like 3 minutes long but that's all I'd need.
I had just moved to a new town the summer of 99 and my first friend i made at school introduced me to korn / nu metal in general. Korn was my battle cry growing up, they kept me going, thry gave me an outlet and a coping mechanism to know that yeah you can grow up and go through some shit but you arent alone, you can come out the other side and make something of yourself. Thank you korn for saving me on an almoat daily basis. Side fun note: my mom took me to my first concert ever when i was 14 in 2002 and i will never forget it.
I've listened to koRn from the beginning Limp Bizkit was an opener tossing demos into the crowd in New Orleans of 96 right before they dropped their second album. Will always support this band, much love for them.
Korn was the rock band that converted me away from pop music. Like many others, I was constantly bullied, never had the best clothes or nice things in general when I was growing up. Korn made me feel free to be me and finally a part of a family I belonged to. I wish I could thank them for helping me discover myself through their art form. Cheers to all the "outcasts" that share similarities in my story.
My mom went to school with Jonathan at highland and told me how he was bullied, my mom was I guess apart of the in crowd. Never really knew this growing up, but took a liking to Korn, kind of odd kid out and went to highland also. I hated Bakersfield, still do. When I had my first son I was gonna buy a house in east Bakersfield because it was all I could afford at the time. Decided to pull out of buying then move my family away. Korn got me threw a lot and felt insanely relatable.
It was so awesome to be a teen in the 90s dude. The music was so sick. Pantera, Korn, sepultura, Fukking Tool! And my personal favorite, the bass God les, motherfukking PRIMUS!

Great documentary. Brought back so many memories. Living in NY it took a little longer for us to catch on. I was in 10th grade listening to Metallica and my skater friend came over said yo check this out and gave me his Walkman to listen. It was Blind. Korn is one of those bands that when you hear them for the first time you never forget where you were and what you were doing when you heard them for the first time!
I remember buying Sepultura's Roots back then. I was surprised but stoked when I heard JD on Lookaway. The golden age was when the likes of Korn, Deftones, Sepultura/Soulfly, Fear Factory and others were all over one another's records.
My parents saw Korn right before they got big and no one in the crowd knew who they were but my dad says everyone walked out of that venue being a korn fan
I've loved Korn from the moment I was given the first cassete tape (the self debut album) by one of my friends:) This band became of instant success since their debut album, and I've experienced it while being at the end of the world in Eastern Europe:))) so scratch that about the band struggling to make it big, they were BIG from the very beginning!!!!
I went to Bakersfield High in 1967. Lived there 8 years and I didn't know they were from there. Thought it was cool but of course they weren't born yet. An amazing band. Love ❤️ them
Still get chills to this day listening to their music. The fact they were able to incorporate bag pipes that flowed with their music makes it just that more at a higher level of uniqueness. ✌️
Just last night I came across your Slayer doco. Now I've been watching a bunch of videos. I'm glad you showed who YOU are. Just like me and a lot of your viewers. Thank you for doing the reading, listening and research. Thank you.
These guys have influenced me so much... My locs and love for bass not to mention how their music has always helped me through the hard times. Thank God for Korn
Awesome recap! I first heard Korn on the PS1 Demo disc that came with the console that had “Blind” on it. It was before the first album came out and I played Blind on repeat all night when I went to bed, and I was so pumped for the first album to come out! So I consider myself a “day one” Korn fan, as much as someone on the Eastside can be. I gotta say, they lost their magic when David left the band…they can be “number one” on the sales charts but that still falls short to where they were when FTL and Issues came out. I wish they or he learned to deal with whatever, the music never would have fallen.
If u watch old interviews u can see how Dave really wasn't like the rest of them. He bitched more in interviews when they're just trying to keep it light hearted
This is a wonderful documentary. I actually learnt some new things I didn't know about KoRn. Thank you for being so respectful and conscientious in your work. Xxxx
Got my first KoRn CD back in 95. They're the first band that got me into music, became my obsession growing up. sadly, as the years went on their sound progressed into something that just didn't appeal to me... Which sucks because deep down they're still me fav band.
I will never forget the first time I heard KoRn. I was 11 and my brother had just bought the first album. "Ball Tongue" was the first song I heard. Loved it.
Awesome documentary!!! I was in Secondary School when I first heard Korn... Heard Freak on a leash and was hooked straight away. Was such an awesome outlet... Were so lucky to have apps like spotify now and its done so much for music and finding new bands, But the only thing it hasn't been able to do is replicate what a feeling it was waiting to get your hands on a cd for the first time and just listening to it or hearing your favourite songs come on the music channels. Its only now I think how lucky we were to be growing up there and then and seeing all these awesome bands coming through together. Im sure the same thing is happening now for the younger generation of today
Never became a huge fan. But always appreciated their musicianship and unique style and performances. Watching this makes me want to buy their masters album.
I was introduced to Korn after the release of Follow the Leader. I have been a fan ever since. They are as good today as they ever were. Their shows are soooo good. I try to see them anytime they come near me.#stillafreak

Wow, that's very impressive! I wonder what kind of affect working as a coroner's assistant had on Jonathan considering he was only a teenager at the time? I bet it really helped motivate him to become the person he is today.
I arrived to the US on July 1998. No English, a loner, angry bc I am now away from my father and have to deal with an asshole stepfather who never respected me. I was bullied in elementary for being Mexican and not knowing English. But then I hear Korn on MTV March 1999. I watch Freak on a Leash…I was mesmerized. I asked my mom to please take me to a CD store to purchase my very first album. I was immediately addicted to the sound, keep in mind I had no idea what he was saying but my soul related. It wasn’t until much later into my late teens when I became fluent in English that the reason I felt so drawn to their music was bc it precisely spoke about how I was feeling, just so out of place, alone, casted out and disturbed. The language barrier meant nothing. It was all a source of exchanged energy, fed up and looking for somewhere to belong. I’m 33 years old now and I will forever Love Korn. No matter where I go or end up, their albums will always follow me bc they were there to help me cope in an age and time I was so lost. ❤
For the "DEFTONES CAME BEFORE KORN" comments: Yes, Deftones FORMED before Korn, but Korn were successful on a globally commercial level way before Deftones, hence why Korn are seen as the pioneers of the Nu-Metal genre. Also, L.A.P.D. formed in 1989 that featured members of Korn. Deftones started in 88 and had their first "solid" line-up around 1994. If it wasn't for Korn, Deftones wouldn't have had a huge alternative and commercial audience to be exposed to. ⚡OFFICIAL KORN MERCHANDISE⚡ www.amazon.com/shop/rawmusictv ⚡OFFICIAL RAWMUSICTV MERCHANDISE⚡ www.rawmusictvstore.com/

The first words people heard from Korn were, “ARE YOU READY!!”
I don’t think people were but the world adjusted accordingly...
I don't think you all are ready for that yet.
But your kids are gonna love it.
first time I heard that song I was watching Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie and it had a surprisingly great metal soundtrack
For real 🤯i know my little fifteen year old head exploded
We weren’t ready. But we became ready.
I am probably going to reference this comment in conversations for the rest of my life. Prob best comment I have seen in 2024.
Kids pay for the sins of their parents
Bullying makes people stronger. It's up to the parents to teach children how to process bullying. My mother always said just agree with them for everything no matter what they say and I did and it worked. The bullies had no fuel anymore because "I was everything they said I was". It's reverse psychology and it works. Plus if no bullying, no korn lol
Your son is a David. Deal with it
Ok this is awesome but what does this have to do with korn
KoRn, Manson, Zombie, Nirvana and NIN all helped me get through my f**ked up teenage years. Between school and home life. Their music and video games gave me an escape. I still listen to all of these guys and more today.

I grew up in Oildale for most of my life. I still live in Bakersfield, but I live more in the Rosedale area nowadays. I moved several times to Florida, and Texas, but I always ended up coming back to Oildale. I remember when there was nothing but old houses, and oil fields for miles.

Pretty much everyone in the alt scene, including myself, was bullied in high school. Fuck them, you're welcome here.
Yep! Hang in there, it gets better.
I saw Korn again not long after that at The Alrosa Villa in Columbus. They opened up for Monster Magnet.

Just last night I came across your Slayer doco. Now I've been watching a bunch of videos. I'm glad you showed who YOU are. Just like me and a lot of your viewers. Thank you for doing the reading, listening and research. Thank you.
You have an amazing voice. It fits so well with your documentary’s.
I have that demo disc still. You're the first person I've heard ever mention it. Crazy.
If u watch old interviews u can see how Dave really wasn't like the rest of them. He bitched more in interviews when they're just trying to keep it light hearted
@@gregoryjames174 no way! That’s awesome, I wish I knew where mine went. It had some other good songs too. Reminds me of that summer.
It does to me too! It’s was an awesome summer for me. I think it had “the Dandywarholes” or something and some other good tunes
I'm so happy I was a teenager when Nu-Metal kicked off in the 90s. And same, first video I saw from Korn was Freak On A Leash and it BLEW MY MIND!!!
Learning about Jonathan's childhood made Freak on a Leash make so much more sense
You didn't already know? I assume the Daddy song was a hint??
Never became a huge fan. But always appreciated their musicianship and unique style and performances. Watching this makes me want to buy their masters album.
I was introduced to Korn after the release of Follow the Leader. I have been a fan ever since. They are as good today as they ever were. Their shows are soooo good. I try to see them anytime they come near me.#stillafreak
I've fan of KoЯn since 2002 at the age of 9 and now I'm 29. I've been listening to KoЯn 19 years now and I'm not going to stop. And I've seen them live 15 times lol.
I saw them in a small club in 1994 in Lawrence, Kansas. And again in 1999 at a huge arena in Olympia, Wa
Trainwreck - Woodstock 99 led me to research the band & found this video. Not my sound or scene but excellent history & insight - factually presented with good content. Thank you. Appreciated
Follow the leader blew me away about 100 times. It is a special album , the first contact with drgs for me...I'll love it forever
I was a radio, television and film major in college from 1993-1996. Your work is well crafted, wonderful to watch, inspirational and I’m thankful for your channel. I appreciate what you’ve documented and I’m a subscriber now.
Thank you!!!

I was a forensic autopsy technician for 10 years and a crematory operator for 5. I’ve never had any nightmares and I loved what I did. It’s definitely not for everyone.

Educate us all, Mike!
@@RAWMUSICTV Don't bother! The Deftones that people know "formed" in 93 and released their first album in 95 after Korn.
It not so much timing. It's more that you put Deftones in the same category as those bands that came around later.
deftones didnt start playing nu metal till after korn
Man I was 9 years old in '98, got my first drum set for Christmas. Played the same four count to literally every song for like a year before I started developing skills. Had started to get into heavy metal by fourth grade and heard SlipKnoT's "Self-Titled" album, completely changed my life. Korn become one of those bands that just blew me away. When they dropped "Take a look in the Mirror", with that amped up base, I learned to play every song off that album, that was the first time I had played an entire album and learned every song. Man I miss the early 2000's some of the best music came out!!!
Killer documentary... Just excellent
Man at 34 years old I’m still OBSESSED with KORN!!! ❤❤❤
This was a really good video! Thanks!
Korn is such a favorite band for me so I really enjoyed some more insight about them.
I wasn’t even born when they formed but I definitely grew up on them my step dad introduced me to them amongst other great bands . I was born in 96 but there music really did help me a lot growing up and still do . Thankful I’ve got to see them and hopefully again this august !
I didn’t hear Korn cos I’m old until Mark Radcliffe played Here To Stay amongst all the pop fodder of an afternoon BBC Radio 1 programme in 2002. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing considering it was blasting from a radio on a building site ! I went out and bought the album - the 1st ‘ metal ‘ I’d payed for since Faith No Mores’ The Real Thing in 1990. Thanks for your work 👍
That Faith No More album is fantastic as well, I was 16yrs old and in 11th grade when I saw em live in San Francisco right after that album dropped...
Amazing Work!! Regards from Argentina.
Hell yeah🤟 this was well made man thx much love from Bakersfield California!
Cheers man!!
I am 65 and have been a Huge Huge fan from the beginning !
I saw Korn, Coal Chamber, Cradle of Thorns in 95' at the Hollywood Palladium! Best show ever!!
Wow, awesome man! I saw CC a few times live back in the day but didn't see Korn live until 2021 and Staind opened up for them, it was awesome! Coal Chambers live shows back in the day were incredible, they were the only nu metal band back then that could really rival with Korn as a live band IMO.
@@LeadMe2TheBliss yeah it was something pretty special watching that show. I never even heard of CC until that show in 95'.
You would never know that Johnathan Davis is such a soft spoken guy the way he sings, I have been listening to Korn since the beginning. Everyone was listening to the top 40 hits when I was a teen and I listened to Iron maiden, Korn, megadeath, Pantera and other metal bands. I was always the outcast, never wore the trends or had any popularity but it never bothered me. Bullying was a part of my daily life but I didn't care, I did me and ignored the bully's.
Hiii your documentaries are so cool, can you do one about deftones pls?
Absolutely love the amount of research you do in these documentaries. This channel is awesome
I was 18 when their debut album was released. The first time i heard ARE YOU READY, i was in a record store and i was instantly hooked. Almost 30 years later im still a huge fan. Korn helped me work through all my childhood trauma.
Thank you for this - KORN has saved and continues to save my life! Amazing work you have done here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly pro
Ohhhh hell yes man!!! Top tier quality as usual
