- The cast of Laverne & Shirley (Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams, Michael McKean, David L. Lander, Eddie Mekka, Betty Garrett, and Phil Foster) perform Milwaukee Moon on Laverne & Shirley, S3E18: Bus Stop.
I watched every episode of Laverne and Shirley as a kid, but why don’t I remember this one? What a great performance by the entire cast. So sweet & in harmony with one another. Bravo!
Another great tune by Michael McKean
I like this one because it's one of the few times that the show didn't end on a comedic, but sweet note. I love how the cast's voices mesh together. They had true harmony.
There’s a few that ended that way. The one where they do the stroll. Always brings a tear to my eye
I'll literally a sweet note :)
I thought I've seen every episode of LAVERNE and SHIRLEY.After seeing this clip,I haven't.what a nice song.
The song is sort of just stuck on the end of an episode (Bus Stop) completely unrelated, but a beautiful addition.
In loving memory of Eddie Mekka: 1952-2021.
R.I.P. Cindy Williams. You were great on L & S and in American Graffiti. This is one of my favorite segments from L & S; I hope you and the rest of the gang are singing this in Heaven. It's hard to believe that Lenny is the only one left.
This is one of my go-to "cheer up" songs! So sweet.
I absolutely LOVED Laverne and Shirley and still do.I loved both Lenny and Squiqqy.I always had a crush on Lenny he was so sweet.💞Much love to you guys💝
Yes, I LOVED Lenny! And I loved them all! Whenever I get a bit down re COVID, I watch one of their shows. Just at random. Any one of them lift my spirits once again! (I wish they all could have lived forever. Sigh.)
One of the best shows on TV at that time! Great comedy❤️
This song goes straight to the heart. So very endearing.
I've watched Laverne & Shirley reruns forever but I don't recall this gem. Love it. Love Milwaukee too. Only Cindy Williams and Michael McKeon still with us which makes me sad. Thanks for posting.
Bitter sweet, these characters seem like old friends. Mekka was such a talented vocalist.
Just saw the u tube video of this song now I sing it all the time It was great seeing all of them together again Ahh Laverne and Shirley great show great people ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had no idea this even existed!! This is absolutely fantastic!
Can you imagine how much fun the cast had with this?
Genius. ❤ Wow. I was just a kid when this came out. I had no idea this even existed then but this is incredible now that I'm older this shows a lot more meaning.
What is sooo sad is that
Everyone except Lenny is passed away. The world has lost all those amazing people...
I think Ronda still around
That’s what I was thinking too. It’s kind of bittersweet like when I was a kid watching the Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, Little Rascals etc and realizing they were almost all dead.
Hope McKean is around for a long time yet.
I think that this show is and always will be a timeless comedy classic. And the cast was so talented. They are in heaven probably singing this song. Michael Mckeon and David Lander were great as Lenny and Squiggy ❤️
Oh Lenny is a solid guitarist. He made that sound easy.
So sweet!
Wasn't expecting THAT!
Takes me back. Violets are blue and I love this freak’n tune.
My childhood 😢
Great song 🎵 they’ve done
Lenny is the only person in this clip who's still alive...
Micheal McKean could right straight up non silly songs if he wanted to
For example: ruclips.net/video/z3M9d0eBUEk/видео.html
A ridiculously talented cast, and one of those special things that the Cosmos sends us, but we don't really appreciate at the time.
Barring one or two blocks or so, MKE never had any brownstone walk-ups. Nearly everything was "cream city" brick, and most didn't have an elevated first floor w/garden apartments below grade.
What in the WORLD does that have to do with ANYTHING about this scene?? So the writers took a bit of "poetic license" with the sets.. who cares?
I love that Lenny plays Polish songs for them regularly apparently. Is he secretly bilingual? And Squig's big mug of ice!!
I love both those details!! Also after Lenny suggests the song, everyone being on board except for Squiggy, "I hate that, I hate it."
"Polish songs" could simply mean polkas in English.
@@TommygunNG True!
Excellent!
Kinda shows why the show was successful. Real people, Midwest (not the coasts), in simpler time, but no superhero Fonzie, aliens, or shark-jumping (till the CA move) sucking the air out of everything.
It's supposed to be very hot, yet Lenny is wearing a jacket. 😂
It’s so sad everyone is dead accept the guy who played Lenny Michael McKean from Laverne&Shirley
6 out of the 7 are gone. Hard to believe.
Lenny wrote this song for the show !
Nostalgic
If it's so hot why the hell is Lenny wearing a jacket and why is she wearing a sweater..😮
Peace

Sad 😔 Lenny is the only one that is still alive
Not quite. There are still Big Rosie Greenbaum, Sonny St. Jacques, and Rhonda Lee as well.
They live in Milwaukee but they all have thick NYC accents. And how many people from Milwaukee hang out on a stoop? It's what New Yorkers do😂😂😂
some of the characters are canonically transplants from NY!
A sweet end to a show.
What is the name of the dance step at 2:05-2:07?
The old 'soft shoe'.
Everyone in this scene except for Michael McKean is dead.
If it’s so hot, then why is Lenny wearing a jacket?
If it is hot, they should be wearing shorts and sweating.
This is such a sweet scene. It's sad that Penny Marshall, Eddie Mecca, Phil Foster Betty Garret, and David Lander are all dead. Only Cindy Williams and Michael McKean are still alive. I always found Cindy Williams so freaking cute.
and now, even dear Cindy Williams is no longer with us. completely sad.
Betty Garret had quite a career in musicals long before this show. All these guys were talented and the chemistry was phenomenal.
