Michael McKean is now the last surviving original cast member of Laverne & Shirley- R.I.P., Cindy Williams, a.k.a. Shirley!!!

It was ridiculously silly and as comedies go very slap stick and at times a bit louder than life . but if you let yourself go a bit you could really enjoy it and it was something to look forward to because you knew, even as the most serious minded person, you were guaranteed a couple of good laughs in a show- at least. And that was its appeal.

One of the funniest shows on television at that time. Great actors, great writers, and great directing. Lenny and Squiggy were a very funny comedy team. May David and Penny rest in peace.

I couldn't wait to watch Lavern & Shirley as a youngster and still look for the reruns now in 2023! 😂 I know Shirley died recently as did others on the crew.😰. R.I.P. I hope they know we are still laughing and they are all missed! 🙏💞

Love PENNY... WHAT A LIFE! Loves her family, her brother. A dancer and helluva athlete. She crushed it at Battle of The Networks. Transitioned to directing. Back to back $100 million grossing movies. Even as a teenager I wanted Rob Reiner and Penny to stay married. Having said all that when show came on I was always watching the door for Lenny & Squiggy...HA!!

One of the best examples of a spinoff being superior to the show that the characters first appeared on. Absolute classic and still timeless!

When you put Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams in the same sentence as Lucy and Ethel, you know these are icons and the likes we will never see again in our lifetime. Two broke girls came out many years later, but these were the Original Two Broke Girls. RIP Laverne and Shirley.

The scene in HI Neighbor where the girls are trying to carry the sleeping Squiggy - HOW on earth did David keep a straight face through that scene. How on earth could the girls even lift him to carry him without hurting themselves. That scene made me giggle.

I moved to Los Angeles just 5 months before the January 17, 1994 Northridge earthquake. After the quake, I was like, "Meh."...having never experienced an earthquake. I was comparing it to the episode after they moved to Los Angeles, and there was an earthquake that bounced their beds around their bedroom. Then Ed Marinaro swing down on their balcony and said, "That's just the San Andreas Fault saying good morning.". I had no clue we had suffered the worst earthquake in 35 years.

I like to know if lenny is still alive i know the little guy squigy is dead though. I so loved this show growing up with it after the later seventies. In my teens i had the biggest crush on lenny. I remember some of the guys in my schoool would bite their hands to like lenny i found it so crazy at times back in the eighties.
