Awesome video, there’s a lot here I didn’t know about. To add to the list, in Halo 2 Metropolis, when you enter that tunnel and get to the area with all the enemies, there’s an active camo elite next to one of the crates who doesn’t attack you, he just stays hidden, but if you attack him, he will fight back. I believe there’s more elites in higher difficulties, and none in the lower difficulties. Edit: he also attacks you if you touch him. And halo odst flood firefight also has brute stalker combat forms, which i don’t believe were in the regular halo 3, at least not with the active camo ability working. There’s also a glitch, called the half flood glitch (general heed has covered this) where you can get brutes, marines, and elites to be on the flood team, but they act and look like their non flood versions. What’s weird about this one is that there’s actually a halo creepy pasta called The Special Gift about a half flood elite long before the actual thing was discovered (only the brute variant was discovered at this point), and even tho most of that creepypasta has the typical cliches and other made up stuff, the half flood elite itself is surprisingly accurate to the real glitch. Not sure if this one counts, but if you see a flood infection form reviving a dead corpse, if you drop weapons next to that body as it’s reviving, you can get interesting flood weapon combos, like the gravity hammer for instance, this is the only other way you can get a flood to hold one, discounting the one that spawns with it in the last halo 3 mission. Same goes for making them hold a skull and I think also the flamethrower. Oh and Yes, I’d love it if you made a video about the lore of in-game halo enemies!
Thanks! Those two active camo elites on Metropolis gave me a hard time during my LASO play through but I always attacked them first, thinking they’d sneak up on me or something. I just went and tested what you said and you’re totally right. They weren’t hostile until I got really really close. How strange. I wish I would’ve known that before I beat LASO. I totally forgot about the camo flood in ODST firefight. I don’t recall ever seeing that in Halo 3’s campaign. I don’t think any of the flood use camo in Halo 3, so that’s definitely a rare/unique enemy. I tried performing one of the half infected glitches using a brute chieftain. I found several references online of people saying they wouldn’t get turned into a combat form, instead retaining the brute chieftain model but becoming allied with the flood. I got a couple of them infected and everything behaved as normal, creating standard brute combat forms. I vaguely remember that there was other ways to produce the result you mentioned but given the chieftains infection behavior, I’m wondering if it just doesn’t work on MCC. I have never heard of said creepypasta. I do remember the weird ghosts of Halo (not the popular desync video from Halo 2 and 3) though. That was before creepy pastas even in existed. I may or may not upload a Minecraft video very similar to this before my Halo enemy lore video. Even if that’s the case, I already have a rough outline for what enemies I’m going to cover for the Halo lore video, so that will definitely get made. Keep your eyes out for that and thanks for the input!
Oh and yes, I’d say the weird flood weapon combos definitely count. I just didn’t think about it. The two examples you mentioned are weird for sure. A flood with a skull? I need to go try that
That drone in ODST is also a unique color. Yellow. It’s called a hiveward drone. Hardest drone in the game. Also in that room are a bunch of pupa drones - the weakest drones in the game. They glow and are only found in that area by the hive. Super easy to kill but lots do them. On data hive I think you also run into a drone that is eating a human body. Plus there’s the ones that sleep hanging from the ceiling (not sure if they’d count as what you’re looking for but figured I’d mention them).
Something that’s interesting about the BOBs in Reach is that they’re actually a reference to the crewmen in Marathon who were Born On Board the generational ship (the first one is on Steam thanks to a fan group and it’s free. 2 and Infinity are on their way. I hope they throw in Steam Workshop to make installing mods easier. Too bad when approached by the fan community the current owners of Bungie’s Myth games Take2 said no about putting them on official storefronts. Fortunately, you can play them for free thanks to Bungie/Take2 releasing the source code to the modding community years back). In 2 at one point there were supposed to be Sentinels who’d fire the Enforcer’s Needles at you. The one in 2 that fires Needler Needles is just a glitch and not a reference to the cut enemy. You can fight them in the Halo 2 Uncut mod (Steam MCC is the superior version of the game thanks to Workshop support making modding and installing mods really easy. They should put HW2 on Steam). I personally wish that we got to see more examples of Jackals holding Plasma Rifles because it makes them more fleshed out. Ruby’s Rebalanced adds in new Jackal Ultras to certain areas later in CE, and he’s going to do the same for the other games (originally came form his H3 mod, but we’re back ported because it’s a good idea. Thankfully, Steam MCC regularly goes on sale).
I remember finding the needler Sentinel and expecting to find more of them because I thought this meant the Covenant got the needlers from them as a kid lol 😅 Bad theory, but I was kid so...
That elite Zealot the end of Pillar Of Autumn is a unique rank called Field Marshall. It’s a higher ranking form of Zealot and it’s the only time you encounter one in gameplay though it’s speculated it’s the same one that you see in cutscenes throughout prior levels in the game. There’s also another one at the very last cutscene where Noble Six dies.
There’s a way to spawn a bunch of large and mini knights (which are apparently even harder) in Halo 5 on the last mission. I forget the details of how to do it but generalkidd has a video on it.
@Woddyisasexybeast yeah there is a lot of stuff I’m always learning about these games. Another interesting one is that there is actually one more instance of the marines fighting you. It’s on Quarantine Zone. There’s a part where a pelican flies overhead carrying a scorpion. Sometimes I’ve seen it even shoot at me. Sometimes I’ve seen it attack the sentinels. I’m not sure if it’s the pelican itself or the scorpion firing because at times it looks like it’s numerous shots firing way faster than a scorpion can. The assumption is that it would just be the flood controlling human vehicles. But I’ve used the acrophobia skull to fly over to that pelican and you can see a human on the back turret. Apparently you can also shoot at the scorpion and knock the human driver out. So that pelican/scorpion are definitively occupied by humans that can attack you. Modders have revealed that originally you were supposed to run into more instances of humans in that level which were scrapped because of Halo 2s rush to ship the game on time.
I started writing a script for that and 5 enemies ended up being 8 minutes long… not sure how to cut it up/shorten it to make it more digestible. Still thinking about how to go about it
You forgot in Halo 3 on the third tower on the Covenant there are Butes with Battle rifles in the Banshees(second tower brute Banshees don't have any weapons) It's implied that the Brutes stole those weapons from Johnson's as there are a number of dead weaponless marines and there the same number of Brutes with battle rifles as there weaponless marines and the fact that they came from the third tower.
That grunt heavy by the skull with the fuel Rod isn’t the only one of his kind. There’s another in the same level before you enter the final area with Blow Me Away playing.

I can see how much care you put into this video! It’s great to see the love for halo is still so prevalent! Great work

This was a very entertaining and interesting video ! Well done. I’m looking forward to your next one.
Why, thank you!
Great content as always, always appreciate the dedication to the videos

Great video!! Some of these enemies were a complete shock for me!! Years playing the halo campaigns and I never notice them
Thanks! You and me both. There’s some weird stuff hidden in there
19:29 HE’S POWER-WALKING AT ME!
He was gonna mess me up too
you are one of the best channels i love yore channel (:
i remember the general heed videos on the needler flyey boy
I’m sure he has one on that guy too. He has videos covering basically everything.
The phantoms in long night of solace are also unique has they are called phantom gunships and you can see their guns are different

The first elite can actually kill you if you run into the back with him
Halo 4 Spartan ops has a good few unique enemies but it's difficult to find them. I found jackal snipers with concussive rifles
Grunts with bolt shots, elites spawning with just plasma pistols, jackal rangers with just plasma pistols but no shields,
I had a feeling Spartan Ops had a bunch of irregularities but frankly, I didn’t want to wade through those missions to find them
There’s a way to spawn a bunch of large and mini knights (which are apparently even harder) in Halo 5 on the last mission. I forget the details of how to do it but generalkidd has a video on it.
That’s wild. I just looked up the video. I had no idea that was a thing.

@4realm8rusirius I’ll be damned. I had no idea.
Just pointing out the high charity active camo flood only spawn in on legendary I believe.
That’s correct. I could’ve sworn I made a note that they only spawn on legendary but apparently it didn’t make it into the final cut of the video.
17:25 i didn't know / did not know it would / they should stay there and not attack you hum/ or huh

Awesome video love it btw
Nope! Total coincidence

Love the black and green color combo
