On that Toyota filter cap tool there is one for v6 which is the one you have and one for four cylinders. It's still designed the same way to grip the tabs just a little smaller
Great video Justin. The electrical tape on the universals is classic, learned that my first month in a shop. I have a random 12 point socket for jeep head bolts as well.
Yeah it was a little bit of a challenge to find a perfect match. Because I have some 12 points the barreling or the broaching is too tight to fit around the head stud. I really wanted a three eights that could fit on there blue power was the one that did it first. I have tried a few others with no such luck. Which other brand did you find that works on jeep as well?
I bought the folding creeper from Wal-Mart for 27 dollars it's cloth but it's more comfortable than my bed I only way 165 pounds but to me it's a great creeper
Look the koken universal joints for something different, there kinda like a press fit ball style of sorts, there really nice to the point I use them more then the regular style. I go to Frank's tools for my Japanese tools
Anytime I take something apart, I either draw a diagram on cardboard or draw and put the bolts/screws in the corresponding spots in the cardboard. Makes it easier to get it all back together when I'm done.
That estwing 4lb hammer is the same one I bought as a new tech and thought this one will get me by ill upgrade it when it breaks 8 years later still my main line hammer
The most valuable real estate on a service cart is the deep upper compartment under the flip top. You are wasting a ton of space using blow mold to store sockets flat rather than vertical. Also the inside surface of the flip top is way more efficient if you remove the existing crap and mount magnetic strips for your most used wrenches. Should have an m12 3/8 ratchet up there as well.
Those tap socket are awkward and will accomodate a narrow selection of tap, returned them to my dealer, grabbed Snap-On Tap Chuck Set, accomodate everything up to a 1/2" square shank, also works great to drive extractors. For the bigger size taps, usually i'll find a 12 point socket in either SAE or Metric that will fit it perfectly.
Oh for sure. For the Toyotas that I can actually use it on the fitment is absolutely amazing. Just does not work on the little four-cylinder there is traverse set
@@JustinDowDIYcentralhighway I feel that. I’ve had the 5 drawer cart and loved it, ended up selling it a couple years ago. Decided to go back with the 4 drawer this time and not nearly as pleased.
