    I have had a Nyle Geyser-ro in my basement for years. It gives me hot water while dehumidifing the basement and saves $$$. Unfortunately I think they are not made anymore. Great to see some new products coming out.

      Right on those are a cool product, and yes I’m excited to see these products coming to the USA and becoming more available

    great channel keep up the great videos and talk about geothermal heating and cooling systems////

      @TheHVACDopeShow  8 месяцев назад

      Right on thanks we’ve been planning on it. Truth be told we’re not experts on Geothermal and have just started getting our feet wet with the technology, but because we do a lot of hydronics and have met a reputable drilling company we’ve felt comfortable starting to pursue these types of installations. It’s awesome technology and very efficient.

    I like these videos where you talk about the new tech that will be coming out. I am guessing that image of the house on top of the mountain is actually not yours.

    • @TheHVACDopeShow
      @TheHVACDopeShow  8 месяцев назад

      Right on I’ll probably start putting out more of them because they seem to be popular and also are fun to make. There’s a few new brands of air to water out now I’d like to cover in a video. And you’re correct that’s just b roll of a house on a mountain haha

    could let us know how much the large 4/5/6/ ton heat pumps units with multiple head units use for watts and amps looking at adding large outdoor unit with 7 heads

    • @TheHVACDopeShow
      @TheHVACDopeShow  8 месяцев назад

      It’s going to vary by unit but they modulate and most of them have 10:1 turndown ratio or more (meaning they can run at 10% capacity or less) so that when they kick on they might only be pulling 300 watts on startup, and on the high end at max capacity pull closer to whatever the max rated load is on the rating plate. If you look at the submittal sheet of any given unit the max amps will be at 100% capacity, but the minimum will be based on the indoor unit / load. That’s the nice thing about multiport inverter ductless systems like the MXS or MXL units is they pull around 1 - 2 amps on startup

    Have you thought about a video on after market UV units to kill mold such as the EnviroAire IAG unit I have a Carrier heat pump about a year old for the bedroom level of the house and a 2016 Bryant heat pump and gas furnace for the main floor and basement. A check-up by a technician showed me "mold" in the units and offered to install two UV units for $2600. I live in central Virginia. thanks,

    • @TheHVACDopeShow
      @TheHVACDopeShow  8 месяцев назад

      Yes we’d be happy to make a video about this, UV units are for sterilization and do a good job killing bacteria / mold / viruses etc. I think they’re a good solution, I don’t know how much of a difference people can actually tell but they’ve been shown to make a difference and reduce airborne pollutants. When you pair them with good filtration they work well. If you have mold in your home I would see if it’s from water damage because if that’s the case you want to get that addressed so the root cause is fixed. Either way happy to make a video!

    When are you coming to Salt Lake City? There is no one that I know of talking about heat pump technology and certainly not solar hot water. It’s an unmet need. Contact me!

      Soon 😁 it’s on the list of cities to go! We’d love to expand to SLC and will keep you posted for sure. Lots of other places we’re trying to get established in 2024 and 2025 in Texas, but if we can squeeze in Salt Lake City before end of 2025 that would be great.

    Now how much does my Edison bill increase per month??
    I hardly paid anything for gas. And my elevtric bill has increased significantly.
    Gas i see as its always there and reliable like my convetion gas oven. But my new Heat pump water heater and companion condenser, thermostat and AC Unit im not so sure. Even with solar system and battery back up unit this govt and big energy powers always have a way of screwing the people. No matter how much you read and research they still maintain their own greed ridden angle and censure. We get half the info needed to make educated decisions. More profitable and money saving purchases. Theres sadlly no longer any way to win, if we think were winning, think again cause we are not. Weve worn out our right to individual freedoms and the truth. America last we the people lose out now, one way or another, every time. Im pretty sick of this scam big govt that includes big business and their bloodthirsty greed, unfair tactics and sham-filled and deceitful, political practices. Wheres the honesty and transparency anymore? Are we a nation of know-nothing observers only? Lacking critical thinking and research skills or are they hiding all the trurh. Go figure. Its been the conspiracy theory come true, the main question...
    where is our deserved honesty, ability to trust, lively discourse and disclosure? I only wonder. Maybe the papers are still under the old corvette in the filthy garage. The one with the whiskey dents all over it.

    This explains why our president want's to outlaw gas heat. Eliminating efficient and reasonably priced gas heat clears the way for this stuff. I wonder how much investment he has in these products. Way too many things to fail that are manufactured by the lowest bidder and redesigned by bean counters that cost more to repair and more frequent repairs than gas heat or electric resistance heat.

      Like they did with clothes washers. Designed to last 5 years, and to save water and energy rather than cleaning clothes

      I could argue the full cost of gas heat isn’t in the price you pay.

      A heat pump is fundamentally more efficient than gas heat. Because it doesn't need to produce the heat. It only needs to move heat from the outside into you home or you water tank.
      This is the prominent form of heating in Norway, Finland, Denmark.

      These can pay for themselves in as little as 22 months vs a gas or resistive heater
