this is truly what skating is about to me, working with what you've got. not everyone lives near crazy steps, or good rails, or a good park. you just skate what you've got and this guys figured that out to a tee. For fucks sake, this dude sees a bush and says fuck it im skating it. You can't beat that creativity and motivation

To be fair he has done some gnarly gap tricks but that's not the theme of this particular part
I not only dig his style of skating but dude looks straight outta the late 60s-early 70s and I dig that even more. My new favorite skater.

I might get some shit for saying this.
This part was rely good and creative, i enjoyed it, don't get me wrong. The firecracker tricks were amazing and the NBDs were all awesome. I just lack a little bit of variation in the spots, it seems like he skated the same spots, and i understand it's hard finding spots for tricks like this, specially most likely going for only nbd stuff. But i've got to say i miss wall plants down bigger stuff, and the escalator slides. And other spots in general, the same rock and tree got a little bit dull, even though the kickflip tree walk looked amazing. The stuff on the bushes went a little too far in my opinion. Maybe it was the HD that made it have a different feel. I'm still a huge fan of Richie and admire he's creative skating. Just felt like sharing this opinion after re watching he's Better Than Life part.
Thats just my two cents.

way to go Richie! and way to go Mark!! great skating, shooting, music choice, the cuts were flowy and tight. i loved the use of natural elements, the water spouts, the bushes, and rocks. i had a smile the whole time I watched it.
What's up with skating trees and rocks? Only Daewon is allowed to do that.
He has been doing it longer. He even said in a interview he believes its the way of the future. He was saying that with every spot getting skate stopped or blocked, It's really just the natural path to choose. What are they going to do, cut down a tree for people skating it? I think it should be embraced!

Gray Skate I do think it's cool to see a trick be done on something unusual like a tree, but I don't see this being the future of skating. I also don't think I'd be able to watch many skate videos if their whole part just had them skating nature.
Justin S I'm sure many people said the same things when skateboards got more popsicle shaped. People probably said it wouldn't go anywhere and they wouldn't like it, but look where we are today. The best part about skating is no one can tell you how to do it. Nether you or I are right. I just think skating should be about doing what you like and having fun, not doing what others like.

its called innovating in skateboarding, trying different things and thinking outside of the box, andrew reynolds and Jim greco arent the only people in the world that skate. people need to start getting that through their heads. there is more to skateboarding than frontside flips and who can grind the biggest rail. thats what skateboarding has come to. Richie is breath of Fresh air in the stale world of skateboarding.
