Just bought property on Tusquittee creek. Can't wait to get moved up there. Visited the Fires Creek rec area to see the falls last week. Pretty place. Thanks for the video.
Great documentary! I hiked Chunky Gal and parts of Fires Creek years back....glad to see local trail club taking care of it...was not the case when I hiked it.... enjoyed your video and may need to go back again.
I appreciate your producing and providing this video. I have the guidebook (by J. Ray) that describes this trail and area in detail, and have plans to visit one day. Your video was very informative as to what the trail is like, including any viewpoints. I'm glad to see it is well-marked. I'm hoping to do a series of day hikes to complete all of the trails in this area, including the Fires Creek. Thanks for the video, well done!
Thanks Ken for the comment and for subscribing to my channel. I've never seen a guide book for this area, but what little research I did indicated that water may be hard to find. We did not have any problems with water. Yes there is very few creeks that cross the Rim Trail, but lots of signs pointing to water and with any experienced hiker should be able to drop down the ridge from a gap and find a spring.
Thanks John, I'm long over due for a trip out west. I've thought about going this summer if I can get away for a couple weeks. If I do I'll certainly make a video. Bryan

Thanks Lenny, glad you enjoyed the video. I heard the trail was in rough shape, but when we hiked Fires Creek Rim Trail it was in great shape.

I've been to South San Juans and Collegiate Peaks, but not Indian Peaks. Have fun. Would love to see some pics when you get back.
bedelay I'll send you a link to my Picasa web albums in August
A lot of nice clips, looks like I didn't miss much on the loop section I bypassed.
