Don't buy CHEAP POWER TOOLS for this reason alone

- I bought the cheapest drill I could find on Amazon and put it up against the the Milwaukee Fuel gen 3 drill. This is why you shouldn't buy cheap cordless power tools

$17-18 drill is a screaming deal, but not a match for the Milwaukee M18 Fuel. It’s like comparing the produce between Walmart and Whole Foods.
If you decide to pay $17 for a drill, you deserve everything that comes along with that purchase.
If only JCB machines and equipment were cheap too I’d have them all lol
It just seems like such a waste of brand licensing to take JCB and slap it on cheapo power tools. Up next on Amazon -- Kubota 24v cordless!
Hahahahahaha
Unfortunately compared to the 50 year old Kubota we use the new ones aren't far off from Amazon quality.
Right?!? "JCB" has such potential as a brand name, but it's wasted on trash. Instead, we get "Junky, Chunky, Broken"
@@l00nybin 😄😄😄 sounds like something Sanford and son would say
I ran jcb drills for years.. As a matter of fact I just sold same said drills to another dude more than 4 years on since I bought them.. They both worked flawless.. Both cordless 18v...
JCB makes construction heavy equipment like skid steer, backhoe, loaders, etc, it looks like they are copying CAT when CAT did the same thing with CAT branded power tools which never sold very well.
If anything, the bag the tool came with is probably the only thing good with the kit.
Smeeesh that like button. 👀👉🏼 👍🏽
Hahaha, the bag is actually pretty nice brother, oh... thanks for the SMEEESH Jason!!!!
You ever return the tools to Amazon claiming it didn’t work as expected?🤣
That JCB disappointment, they make rock solid machinery. I guess they need to have those engineers switch teams.
JCB is a big name in Britain. Mostly known for their heavy equipment. But I'm not surprised that the Milwaukee smoked that drill literally.
lag bolt would probably be a better test vs drilling into another drill
Can’t say much about the power tools. But I know they make great heavy duty equipment because we have a couple of their heavy heavy duty forklifts at work. 🤣🤣
Haha, should definitely stick to the forklifts brother man Dan 👊😆

Brand licensing brings in money, even if the stuff the name is on is crap. It's like Winchester and Remington. They will license their name to just about anyone. Their ammo is good, but the pocket knives they put their name on? You couldn't pay me to take one of those. There's good made-in-China-to-US-standards stuff, then there's Chinesium junk.
Very entertaining, Clint! I was hoping for flames and guts and gore though. My Milwaukee M12 Fuel Drill Driver and Impact driver are working great, thanks to your review and recommendations. Very happy I purchased them for my small home projects. Beats my 10 y. o. monsterously huge 18v HD Rigid Drill Driver that stopped working mysteriously. Looking forward to the next video. Maybe get a wrist brace???
Thanks so much for the awesome comment and feedback Enterprises 🙏🙏🙏
@@ToolReviewZone Do you know if a Makita battery will power the drill?
I actually tried a few different batteries and none worked Pro
@@ToolReviewZone Thank you Clint.
@wnc817 It is registered actually. I will contact Rigid. Thanks for reminding me!
I bought a random drill in amazon for like $40 and it’s actually pretty good. Nothing compared to my Milwaukee but I think it has its place.
Still learned things like VCG’s aversion of kittens, how to plead don’t break my wrist, and to see how a good bit can make a bad drill seem ok… at first. And in seeking a silver lining is at the end of the day you have an expensive soft case🤣🤣 Thanks for todays chuckle, really needed it. Stay safe.
Hahaha, the only true downer today Tim is the (100% true) information that Vacne of VCG Construction hates kittens. It's shameful really 😔
@@ToolReviewZone wait, Vince is not a cat guy? I knew there was something about that guy that was off...
JCB is known for tractors, telehandlers and forklifts. Their machinery is amazing and very high quality. They also hold the world record for fastest tractor 😎 go ahead and look it up.
Shame on them if they are putting their good name on such crappy products. Though it is not unusual nowadays, plenty of once great companies have resorted to doing this.
Yeah I was kinda surprised they aren't really that well known in the US. Probably a US vs UK thing there LOLOL. And as for the branding, I figure they don't mind getting those license fees with maybe slight reputation damage as a tradeoff. If it is indeed licensed. They probably rely on people assuming it's just a rip off company selling the tools and thus have their reputation be relatively safe.
I feel bad for people that buy junk like this. Just a few years ago, I probably would have gotten sucked in by the price and have no idea that just a little extra money would have gotten me so much more. I regularly tell customers now not to buy tools from Amazon unless they know exactly what they are getting.
I was wondering where one of my squirrels went. Can you send him home, lol. The cheapest I would go is Black & Decker.
Hahaha 😆 👊
394 ft /lbs. Of caterpillar feet...🐛🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾 Clint don't waste the wood 🪵 it's too expensive 💸
haha....'caterpillar feet'.
Hahahaha, caterpillar feet 😆😆👊👊👊
@@ToolReviewZone Thanks Clint Love your vids 👍🏻👍🏻
For me, if cost was a major issue, I’d buy lowest tier DeWalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, Metabo, Makita, or even Ryobi; especially when ya could score a decent kit w/ discount codes, sales, promos, and so on…..
There’s just way better options out there for ya to choose from, 100% most definitely when sales and deals are happening during a “holiday”.
Interesting vid though Clint, have good one ✌🏻
My bro Aepek 👊👊👊
Dewalt best tier is about ryobi introductory
On a budget, I'd take a look at some corded tools, too.
JCB makes great telehandlers and excavators
Job are a heavy machinery brand in the UK. You know, backhoes, excavators etc. I imagine this is just some Chinese licensed crop.
JCB are a very old British company that make mechanical diggers. They lend / sell their name to Chinese tools which are cheap and nasty in reality. They just happen to have a well known name on the box. They're ok for occasional DIY use around the house but nothing else. They look the part but aren't.
Thank you for the video
And thank you for the comment Tammy!
Alvin says "VCG Construction hates kittens!" Lol 😂🤣😂
And you said you would never ever buy it...but you did?!?! 🤔
Loved the video Clint. You da man.
I can understand puppies David, but Kittens 🤷😪😪😪
A ton of awesomeness once again. Keep it up bruh.
My dude Edward 🙌 💪
Spend a few dollars more and get a Dewalt for around $100 on sale for a kit
JCB is the real pro brand out in Saskatchewan
Very concerned about VCG hating kittens
Awesome video TRZ!
Thanks brother 👊👊👊
@@ToolReviewZone you’re welcome!
Nobody:
Construction guys: its going to break my wrist; does it anyways.
you should have done the test like flex does!! that JCB with a smoke any Milwaukee or DeWalt 🤣🤣
Hahahaha, winner, winner chicken dinner!!!! This drill definitely would have won brother 😆😆😆
Happy Easter bud 🎉
Happy Easter brother 🙏
This is actually quite interesting. I've actually become aware of a tool company that is supposedly made in USA called *Tolsen* , but I'm not really sure how they are. I've also recently been seeing this apparently HUGE Chinese tool brand called *Total Power Tools* that has a huge presence in Asia apparently and that makes a tonne of construction related equipment from cordless power tools and accessories to gas powered equipment. I know they really won't be able to compare to the Red/Yellow/Teal (maybe they _might_ to the green), but I would be curious to see how they actually perform if you ever get your hands on some. I've heard some workers say they are good enough, but I'm not sure about longevity etc.
Just FYI. The Tolsen address, straight from their web-site, is "No.198, Huashan Road, Jinfeng Town, Zhangjiagang City,Jiangsu Province, China". If they have American made tools, I couldn't find them.
@@richpeggyfranks490 LOLOL thanks mate. I only saw the box and packaging on display with some of the "Made in US" marketing lolol. That's such a blatant lie. Although to be fair, I guess TTI is also Hong Kong based. I might try one of the diamond concrete grinding blades and see how to does. But thanks for the feedback.
Still have this drill? I'll do a teardown!
For $17 I can see buying it for my daughter. Her use is household at best. Just picked up a $15 29pc drill index for her. Should be fine for what she does or doesn't do, as the case may be.
This came up in my feed again; hadn't seen your post. Coincidentally, I also picked up a $15 29pc drill index for my daughter. It's rolled HSS, which should be fine for her needs.
I’m just curious to see the both with the same size battery and both fully charge! Like that doesn’t seems very fair 😂😂😂
I heard that about VCG
He's a monster Pete 😪
0:50 right I have a cobalt step drill bit that was $34
Man Clint that Peinage cost more than the drillage you bought. You are a Wild and Crazy Guy !!!!
Hahaha, Marshal ! 😆😆👊👊
I gotta get me a JCB!
that drill might be better than my harbor freight warrior drill that i paid less than $20 for that came with a flashlight, (i wanted the flashlight) and i used the drill once and it was wonderful.
Is "heah" the legal term? Hahaha. I love it dude! Even IF I NEVER learned anything from your videos I'd still watch them every time
Hahahaha, Heah is definitely somewhere I'm the dictionary.....not sure where......but definitely in there 😄 😆 👊👊
If I'm going to go cheap, I will take the Skil Pwrcore12 or Pwrcore20 over this, thanks. At least then I will get some Chervon quality with my made-in-China tools. My Pwrcore12 drill ran circles around my M12 Fuel hammer drill and kept up with my DeWalt 12V Extreme drill, all while being more comfortable than the M12. I sold the M12 Fuel.
Actually, it would be interesting to see how this cheap JCB stacks up against a decent DIY drill like Skil.
As for me, I like the modest number, the price is appropriate, and I can protect it and provide me with some services
That look like fun . I need to find a cheap tool to burn up. 🔥 Dam good video . Can't wait to see the next video Clint.
Haha, damage is sometimes fun 21 😆👊
I know the jcb company make heavy equipment
To be fair, paddle bits are the devil 😈
And MDF 😆👊
Dewalt is junk now to me had bad experience I’m in Milwaukee line now
a friend has a Bauer 20v from harbor freight, it does the same thing as that cheapo drill does, bits always fall out and it will stop drilling using any larger bit...one more thing, i can't believe you drilled all those holes thru a 15,000-dollar board ...lol
Hope you didn't injure your wrist there Clark. Nice video though. Just seen a JCB backhoe in the neighborhood recently. Hopefully they're heavy equipment is a little more sturdy
Lmao I know right hahaha. Also, I should be out of the hospital in three months with the wrist injuries 😪
@@ToolReviewZone 😂😂😂
Enjoyed the “test.”
Thanks Mark 👊👊
The trash that they put on Amazon the crappiest thing Vince tested was a hyper tough corded drill years ago I think he tested a bootleg impact wrench that ran Makita batteries and the usual with Amazon they always go up and smoke same with hyper tough
Was ganna ask bro it’s been awhile since you done any ridged stuff my man when we ganna have some tool duels with the new impact driver
Early next week brother!!!!
Sad that a company that makes quality heavy machinery would resort to this. I mean how much are they going to make licensing this garbage vs cost to reputation? This is worse than the official licenced "maserati" electric scooter i saw the other day.
Omg hahaha, that's crazy. How much was the scooter 😳
@@ToolReviewZone It was $1200 Ausd (around $900USD) and to make matter worse it was at a Costco 😳😄.
@@slasher9883 OMG!! HAHAHAHA!!!
A up brother,
We have this JCB 💩 over here in England and yes it 💩💩💩💩 NOT REAL NASS LIKE…….Thanks for the vid Bro 😎
You also spent $1,378 Dollar on drilling them REAL NASS HOLES in that woodage 😝
Hahaha, I actually did a few holes off camera which brings total price to $2,300 for hole drillage Carl 😆👊👊
What no link for Amazon incase we want to purchase?
Hahaha, here ya go brother... good luck amzn.to/3xoHOHM 👍
Sweet! Thanks brother! 😂
Alvin told Simon and Theodore to not even bother with JCB :)
😆
You should run the dewalt vs milwaukee and see which one is the strongest
I believe I did that. The Milwaukee took the win
I knew something was wrong with Vince, how can you not like kitties?
It's shameful Chis. He's a Monster 😪
great info but you could've gotten 14,276 of the JCB drills for all the holes you put in that wood of gold
Hahahaha, very true Michael 😆😆👊👊
You should have bought the brushless jcb with hammer that costs 150 and then try it
Jcb is a tractor brand
Amazon is as Amazon does … but I bet the JCB would’ve made Swiss cheese out of Vance’s 2x6 (it was Vance’s, right? I mean you wouldn’t use your own for something like this, right?) if you used a sweet-sweet DI-A-BLO spaddle bit!
Lmao, Vance would never spe d this kind of money on pine for a video. I believe Vance takes it from Habitat for humanity work sites 😆😪😪
Milwaukee make some really heavy duty tools
lol, yeah, it might be ok for DIY, but like you said, so many better choices. I wonder how it would have done against my drill I got from Harbor Freight. I think the one from HF was cheaper than that, but who knows how they’d stack up. It’s funny you did a “I bought the cheapest _____\” video. I just got done recording a video yesterday about the cheapest earbuds I could find on Amazon. Great minds think alike. 😀. Great job on this video as always!
Haha, my dude Rob. I will definitely keep my eye out for your vid brother 👊
I broke my wrist last week drilling out an old bolt with that same waukie. Not really, but still hertz. The only thing that Amazon drill is good for is for friends that forget to return the cah-cah they borrowed.
You're 100% TJ. That's the stuff I should lend out 👊👊👊
"Fight back!!"
Clint, are you mad and you wanted "Rock em Sock em Robots ha ha ha!!! as a kid!!!
I never did get them KJ 😪
@@ToolReviewZone I was an only child and for Christmas I would get board games, stating "2 or more players" So I feel yeah on that!!!
Where did you come up with your per hole cost?!?!😂🤣
Very carefully added the cost of shipping, handling, base price of wood 14 years ago, today's inflation cost and finally how many rings the tree had before being cut down.... pretty simple really 🤷
I think id trust harbor freight tools over amazon tools lol
The most expensive, heaviest and bulkiest paper weight I have seen, cool video though, take care buddy
Hahaha
Is that a dewalt repainted? Performs the same 😜
😐😆
Milwaukee all the way lol
Now that's what I call one cheap ass drill. 🤣💩💩
Lmao 😆😆😆
JCB-. justifiably crap bag 🤣🤣
Hahaha, Kentucky 😆👊👊
Any machine is a smoke machine if it's built cheaply enough
Kittens? Wow
He's a monster Joe 😪
That cheap thing is the opposite of real Nass like very strange 🤔 things happen when you spend soooo littow DOLLA !!!!
Definitely have to spend that dolla 😪
Loose clothing is not a great idea using a spade bit.
But would have made for great entertainment 😏
lololol. hint, lay the drills down so the board helps you keep from breaking your wrist..
Why am I even watching this I’m a dewalt Milwaukee and sometimes makita guy Already
🤷
😎🤣😎🤣😎 you get what you pay for Clint 😎🛠️😎🛠️😎
But, but but.... I'm cheap Ted 😪
I’ll buy the battery off you lol
I think you can buy a fisher price drill that has more power
Hahaha
Better off buying a drill used on Facebook
They known over in belfast but mostly for diggers n they even do phone covers lol
Looks like a knock off to Dewalt but sucks arse on power
Btw this is a pricing error 😂😂🙄
whaaa.
Haha, whaaaa?
So basically it worked ok
I always buy cheap tools. They work great for home projects. They last forever.
And with the money you save on tools you obviously buy drugs
For years I would get a cheap drill, terrible batteries, wouldn't drill through anything solid and would last about a year and off I would go and buy another. It's like buying cheap boot's don't do it. You save money buying a decent drill and driver in the long run.
Buy once cry once brother 😢 👊
😆
That drill is a pos. would last a day on a jobsite .
It's literally I'm the garbage right now lol
@@ToolReviewZone I'm sure it is. growing up I was craftsman because that is what my dad had. then went to ryobi amd the newer ons aren't too bad. Right now I'm 90% dewalt. But I bought myself some milwaukee and I'm very expressed with them. I will take either one There is a lot of junk out there and some thing's are are thought out well, makes tour job easier and safer.
Mikwaukee is leading the charge, and yeah... Ryobi has been stepping it up for sure Normal 👊👊👊
:)
Haha gaycb like their construction equipment
I dunno, man. At 1 tenth the cost, it should only perform to 1 tenth the capability. 🤷♂️
P.S. Bottom line, I'm with ya. Don't buy it. 💯
DAVE!!!! what's up me brother 🤟🤟🤟
@@ToolReviewZone you don't wanna know, smh. Just be grateful that your immediate family is healthy and cancer free. I've said too much. God be with you, my friend. 😎🎸👍
If you get more better for more money, than shouldn't Makita be dominating the tool market 🤷🤔🤷🤔🤷🤔🤷🤔
You don't always get quality at an absolutely ridiculously inflated price.... Sometimes you get junk with a fancy name.
*Cough cough ford*
@@winkletown8828 yes, one must proceed with caution instead of just jumping into the deep end. Truth be told, Makita does dominate the market in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, and Africa. If one is solely looking for deals and reduced prices (with quality build) look no further than Dewalt and Milwaukee. They are in the habit of promos and flash deals. Makita? Not so much. They know what they have. Price reductions are far and few in between. Though, they are running promos on their outdoor power equipment.
