I remember using a action replay for Pokemon Platnium. I wanted to see what would happen if you applied the shiny effect to pokedex entry #000. It bricked the game cartridge permanently. When booted up with or without the action replay, the game would just flash red and blue horizontal bars.
@@Big.Joe.Grizzly I wouldnt mind but I can't replicate it on an emulator. Basically, I applied both codes at the same time, so I went out into the wild to force 000 to come out with shiny effect. I found the early GameFAQ comments to be very sad. So much hostility of self-proclaimed experts, saying that something like a BLJ was "definitely fake" or "definitely impossible". It really was the prevailing tone of many online discussions and to a degree remains so in many places.
i still find early online discussion behavior very funny because even outside of a place like gameFAQs people were so quick to try and disprove someone else even when they were in the wrong LOL. everyone wanted to be smarter than everyone else
@@toastedcherries It's not that different today, really. It's kid of sad how *convinced* some people are that they are way smarter than everyone else around them.
