the spore glitch stuck out to me for being incredibly specific and unlikely to trigger, and then getting patched so soon like it was top priority that gamers be able to play spore and roblox at the same time
Though you weren't including game exclusive glitches, I remember there was a phantom forces glitch many years ago where if two players went prone on top of each other, they would start to levitate. Me and a friend had lots of fun sniping from cranes you weren't supposed to get to.
And I hate it :( There was so many games that I wanted to revisit and play for nostalgia's sake and now it's all lost to time except for those who cared enough to preserve those games...
There are many glitches not included in the video related to rthro packages. Certain combinations of rthro packages can allow you to increase your jump height by a large margin and even allow you to jump through extremely thin walls. There are even some packages that allow you to easily glide along walls and launch yourself extremely high using slopes and slightly angled walls.
i remember in a game called vampire hunters 2, there was a small hamster yet dog like cage in one of the maps. if you sat down in front of the cages opening while someone pushed you inside of the cage from the outside, you could glitch inside of the cage and move around slightly. i remember it being able to hold at least like 5 crouching people. unfortunately you either had to remain in the cage until the round ended or wait for the vampire to pull you out by another glitch.
I just wanted to add a glitch. Around March 2020 to early 2021 I want to say there was a no clip glitch that worked in any game where if you equipped and unequipped any item rapidly, you walk through any wall.
i still remember when you can get a keyboard autoclicker on an object, with the keybind 1,2,3, etc.. remember using it in piggy to clip through walls. the good times...
Genuinely interesting video! One that you should have mentioned is all the “same account logged into from different device” kick message. This message will show up for a multitude of reasons that aren’t what the message actually says, including if you leave and rejoin a game quickly, if you got banned whilst in game or (more uncommonly) if your WiFi is choppy in game.
I don’t have an explanation for the first two, but the third one I can explain. Basically, if you have really choppy WiFi that will lose signal momentarily, if your WiFi cuts out, after a certain amount of time the server can’t keep up, while sending a message to your client to tell roblox to kick you from the game. from the game. If your WiFi reconnects at the exact moment this message is sent, roblox will have not already sent a message to kick, and seeing your WiFi is back, will not kick you while your client reconnects. At this point, the server assumes a message has been sent to kick you, so to the servers knowledge it’s unaware that the kicked player is still in the game. So roblox at this point has a panic attack and goes “Hey, what the hell, this account is already in the game and it’s being reconnected”. And instead kicks you, thinking that the player has just logged in from another device. TLDR: WiFi goes out, client sends message to kick, server reconnects at perfect time, kick gets cancelled while server still thinks you’re kicked, 2 accounts in game so roblox assumes you logged in from elsewhere.
Yeah this happens to me a lot when playing Mining Simulator 2, sometimes it will say "logged in from another device" when i did not. Just to be safe i resetted my password to something ultra complex. Also another bug is that sometimes when im playing mining sim 2 on ipad for awhile it starts randomly kicking me out of the game for no reason
2007 Roblox was so jank and fun. I remembered messing around trying to clip through walls, fling players around, and trying to fly using your avatar alone. I'd like to add there was also a glitch around 2014-2015 where you could basically jump higher using a sword or item by equipping and unequipping it very fast while jumping. It was really fun going to places where nobody could reach lol. Other than that, it's great seeing these glitches again after all these years. Thanks for the video!
you could do the same glitch with the roped in 2012-2014 there was also another flying glitch i used to do on build to survive the drakkobloxxers where you would take 2 bricks and attach them to either leg, making you fly whenever you walked but you HAD to keep walking or you'd fall
The float glitch with btools has had many variations over the years. the specific one of attaching a part to you worked up until about 2010 when it changed to getting on a part that you have picked up and looking down/up you'd start to fly similar to other games.
The way I usually explain the floating point bug is that everything is a 3 dimensional point in the game. Like a graph, but with an extra dimension. The points that make up a 3d model are too. At some point the numbers for each point are too high and it causes the computer to basically estimate where the points are. Causing everything to deform. This description is pretty close to what you said in the vid, but if someone finds this useful your welcome.
I remember a while ago in Catalog Heaven i used the chameleon potion which dresses your avatar depending who you clicked on. But instead it teleported you straight inside players, it was possible to merge multiple players in one.
I remember there being another possible variant of the plane glitch around 2010 when I first joined. You could attach objects to yourself and if you did it a certain way (I believe by sticking it to your chest?) you could fly around by walking into it haha. My aunt and I would create wings and turn ourselves into Pokémon and fool around with the flying in this one game called "The Fire Sea".
the layered clothing glitch is one of the glitches i personally like. i use it to make my avatar look fat. because i just liked the look of making my avatar look fat, thinking it looks cute. honestly if they patch it, i would like a way to be able to modify the weight of your avatar, body mass kinda like how you can do in the sims to your sims characters.
@UCwMSUrUC280K6qc2VIvVfEw fine with me as long as peopke don't attack me for it. Personak preference, meet me you'll understand i'm nicer of a person than i seem via text on a screen. I keeo my fetish stuff in the bedroom along with my suspicious things
I remember discovering the voxel wallhop glitch! I also found a (very pointless) glitch that caused the camera to roll 90 degrees and slowly sway in circles. I'm _pretty_ sure it was an issue with Roblox's default camera logic but I was 12 and too dumb to look further into it. Cool video! Was fun to see what I recognized and learn about more weird ways that people managed to break the game
the very pointless glitch either was actually pointless or u didnt research it enough and it could have been used to glitch your avatar into breaking in a 1-5 stud wall or soemthing
I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but If you spam drop all your gears and pick them up really fast by walking forward Roblox might glitchout and make you hold a gear while not having it in your inventory. With this you can walk up to players and "Grab" them as they are able to pick up the item
There was a glitch in many building games in early roblox, where if you put two small 1 stud sized box on your legs, the character would try and climb those objects like a ladder but since the objects are stuck to your legs you would basically fly. A fun way to survive waves on survive the drakkbloxers back in the days.
I would LOVE a video on VIP/gamepasses in early Roblox games, and their evolution. I remember having to buy and wear a specific t-shirt in order to access VIP rooms or special content (like those Pokemon morph games giving you legendary Pokemon for wearing a certain t-shirt). Maybe you could also look at the various ways VIP rooms were defended, I think that would be an incredibly niche but interesting topic. Most VIP rooms were just boxes with doors that killed you unless you had the t-shirt, but I remember some that got more creative with it.
i love the way you do such deep research and make the video complete without it becoming boring i admire you so much, i bet u do the best essays at school
I have another bug to share that I've never really seen anyone talk about, so I figured I'd bring it up now. For many years, player movement in Roblox had a few quirks. For one, there was about a half-second delay after every jump, during which you couldn't jump again. Additionally, if you were climbing something (e.g. a ladder) and you stopped moving at any point, you would fall straight back down. In 2013, both of these quirks were fixed, allowing players to jump continuously and adding the ability to grip onto ladders without constantly moving. These changes opened the door for a new bug, though: if you were climbing a ladder, and you held down the spacebar, your character would begin flying upward much faster than normal. This happened because the dismounting functionality was broken by the update; jumping while climbing would cause you to dismount, but it would *not* fling you backwards as intended. Thanks to the lack of a jump delay, this allowed players to continuously jump up ladders with great speed. The glitch was patched around 2014. Jumping while climbing now properly flings you backward.
The plane glitch actually still works today! Well, kinda… to get a cylinder perfectly on your body, use a seat and attach it to your torso the block MUST be the size of your torso or it will not work. The effect is that.. it makes you do a backflip. (and must have a hinge on it)
I saw this glitch I call the “cloning to the sky” glitch basically in any game where you can clone yourself and it will copy you movements, go *real* close to the point you and the clone touching each other. It will make you and the cone go really high in-till you stop touching the clone
Wall fling was happening because arms had an animation going up, and also at the time other body parts had collisions, so the animation caused it to fling back.
The voxel wallhop actually had nothing to do with the terrain specifically... any of the stamper tool blocks (4x4x4) were also susceptible to the glitch. I'm not even 100% sure it's been patched as of today, but it's definitely become less reliable. From what I could sense, the glitch just lets you refresh your jump by detecting the surface of parts that are hidden inside of the walls. By building walls with smaller bricks stacked on top of each other, shifting around could get your feet to clip into the wall and grip the concealed surfaces with a great enough frequency that you could jump indefinitely upward. I remember learning the glitch during the 2013 egg hunt, and using it ever since in places with walls like these. Another common glitch I use to this day is the rather inconsequential physics glitch caused by walking into the corner of very light weight brick assemblies that you are standing on. You can make small boxes with wood/plastic and, if you can avoid climbing over the sides, go at mach 3 by pushing the box across a flat surface.
Very interesting video! I'll just provide some more knowledge of some of the glitches that I remember, some of those which you covered in this video (and some others that you didn't cover in the video). * Your coverage of the July 25-26 2007 incident is almost completely accurate, however, your recreation of the script used during that time has made me think that the fake username used by the script may not have been "BetterThanYou!", but instead "BetterThenYou!". During that incident, I actually joined the game that was shown in my recording, and I remember the fake username having a purple color (which you get if your username is "BetterThenYou!"), while the fake username you showed in that recreation had a white-greyish color. It's not your fault, after all I myself thought the username was "BetterThanYou" until I saw your recreation and saw it have the wrong username color that I remembered. * Hat meshes glitching out on video were actually not first discovered by Sirloin in December 2007. NintendoBoy originally recorded a video of Minigame World on Halloween 2007 (that has since been deleted) that eventually had his Bigger Head hat start glitching out by the end of the video. * March 17, 2009 actually had a fair bit more events than just the admin panel being open to the public happen that day. First off, the website spent a fair bit more time than usual in maintenance before it reopened, Second, the ROBLOX client update that happened that day changed the studs from their original circle appearance to a square appearance (without the R letter like the circle studs did), and wood materials were also added. Third, after the website went up, but before people started to have access to the admin panel, most users that had their accounts terminated (such as Wirodeu and Fleskhjerta) ended up having their accounts restored and unbanned, with one exception being Scripter (either because he was almost immediately banned afterwards, or extra measures were taken to keep his account from ever being unbanned due to the admins considering his early 2008 actions [which I'll try to go into detail as to what he did below] to be much worse than a normal banned user's actions). Now onto some glitches that you didn't cover in your video. * I only vaguely remember this, but apparently in January or February 2008, there was a glitch which was exploited by Scripter (who around that time was actually a moderator, I'm not sure whether he was a super moderator or just a forum moderator) and perhaps a few other people that might have allowed those people to get large amounts of ROBUX. Again, I'm not sure of the method used to execute this glitch, but apparently exploiting this glitch caused Scripter to lose his moderator privileges and possibly get temporarily banned (Scripter eventually got terminated in late-March 2008 due to leaking the Sparkles feature). Perhaps another person that played ROBLOX during that time can shed some more light on this? * During the summer of 2014, a glitch was discovered that allowed you to walk in mid-air without falling. It was done by going into Shift-Lock mode and repeatedly pressing the A/D keys while going off a ledge. If done correctly, this would allow the user to continue walking in mid-air without falling until he stopped pressing the A/D keys. This glitch allowed you to get onto the pillar that had trampolines to various parts of the map in SFOTHIV and that was also in SFOTHO (without the trampolines), but normally inaccessible in SFOTHO. This glitch was patched a few weeks later. * There was also another glitch in 2014 that allowed you to keep jumping in mid-air. It was done by holding the jump button while moving forwards and repeatedly switching tools and would potentially allow you to keep jumping really high up the map until you stopped switching tools. This glitch worked best if the tool was ball-shaped (like the Superball and Bomb weapons in Brickbattle games) and if you were also walking diagonally to the right. This glitch was frequently used at Crossroads and lasted a couple of months longer than the walking in mid-air glitch before it was finally patched in early 2015.
Look mom, I'm on TV! Fun fact: The "plane glitch" was actually originally done by attaching bricks to your arms (which had studs on them and didn't animate back then) and then building stairs in front of you which you could walk up infinitely. This was also another way to stick players together if you stood next to each other correctly then putting a brick attached to both of your characters...though it usually resulted in near instant death by clipping you out of the world and falling to your death.
15:21 this glitch actually dates back to 2014 (and possibly earlier) because in snyfort's natural disaster survival video he can be seen doing the frog jump
im pretty sure lag highjumps existed around 2019 too, but they were very rare (if you had a device that would get occasional lagspikes, you could time them to get the highjump boost while still having momentum) but they became WAY more common with aaa_321's method due to it being relatively consistent (once you got used to it) and being doable on any pc
The corner clip, I was so confused why I just all of a sudden I wasn't able to do it. I had no idea they patched that. I just thought I was doing it wrong.
The layered clothing is sort of patched now. Roblox minimalized the amount of layered clothing you can equip as of recently. BUT... the glitch is STILL possible, just the avatar resizing for layered clothing is now smaller by a ton.
3:55 this happened to me before, on Royale High I gave a Cupcake to someone with the Backspace Key instead of clicking on that person. When the person equipped the Cupcake our hands were fused together. (This happened twice, both in the pool and the dorms. This glitch didn't load the dorms idk why but it loaded the pool)
There was a glitch where you can put a meshed blocks(the one with 'x' texture blocks) and a truss part on your character a specific way which makes you fly when you walk. It was especially useful in build to survive games!
The admin panel incident (2009) had the admin panel archived on web archive, I don't have the link but I 100% remember seeing it on the Wayback Machine.
I love the frog hop and the windows X glitch. Also, not sure if you mentioned it or not, but there was a corner wall-climb, where you jumped in a corner and could climb up. Pretty sure it was patched, and was primarily discovered in 2016.
The floating point glitch is visible in Space Sailors when you head out far enough into space. Always wondered why you got so pixelated and glitchy after a certain point
4:18 I remember this glitch. It only happens when you try giving a player a tool. If you press backspace and try to give a tool to a friend, you and he/she is going to be stuck together. And this was 2014 - 2016. I don't know but I saw it happen and I got to experience it.
The floating point glitch where your character gets deformed can be found in almost every video game, I tested it on unity and when my cube gets too far away from the location 0,0,0 , the cube will get distorted. Most of games use single precision floating point format. Edit: I was typing while while watching the video so I didn't know he talked about what I wrote.
In regards to the long name glitch, way more than 30-50 accounts were made with very long names. I remember making 5 accounts myself. I recall seeing lots of people talking about it on the forum. I made 3 accounts with names I thought were funny at the time and 2 for some of my friends on the forum, since they didn't have access to an iOS version of the game. In the following days people would post on the forum with these very long named accounts and it would completely break the formatting of the page. Safe to say they would get permabanned immediately after posting. As an 11 year old I definitely did this too. I appealed my ban since it was for no reason and the appeals staff basically said "fuck off" haha. Great coverage of topics I completely forgot about though!
There are also other freeze related glitches such freeze clipping Also an incident that happened a while ago where wallhops are possible to walk on with only 60 fps
my friend that showed my brother and i Roblox started learning code after we fell out of contact with him and he made a place that literally gave you the Bloxxer badge back when the old combat system was still in the game. my brother told me about the place after the changes with the combat system happened, so when i played it for myself, it just killed my character over and over with no respawn delay. maybe he was exploiting was some bug that counted a KO on yourself as a KO on your stats without getting any WO's or something. whatever it was, it was pretty cool for the time.
One glitch that has happened to me a lot yet i cant find nothing about is a glitch where you loose your body and become invisible but instead of the body disappearing it just stays where you lost it
lots of other glitches exist too - fling control (if you land on a part while being ragdolled, you have a chance of being flung really far and sometimes, turning your camera in shiftlock let's you literally control the direction of where you fling) - laugh clip (using /e laugh allows you to clip through 1 stud thick walls) - item clip (spamming equipping an unequipping an item with an autoclicker allows you to walk through walls) - r15 sleep glitch (similar to laugh clip) - luck/lag clip (sometimes roblox physics suck and you just randomly clip through walls) - subplace joining bug (if you go into roblox api, you can search up a game's or group's places and sometimes you are able to join subplaces you should not be able to join after a few tries of joining the place) - the 2022 r6 spasm bug (your avatar during a day would have all of its body parts glitching around and it could allow you to clip through walls, jump really high, and fling around)
Does someone remember a glitch around 2013 - 2014 where you were able to climb stairs at absurd speeds by just tilting your camera a bit using shiftlock? i remember it was a speedrun strat that i used at zombie tower
theres also a glitch where a brick that makes u jump inside one that makes u trip will fling u, and spamming shiftlock would make u go all crazy, even takes u out of floating points sometimes
-- The fly glitch could be accomplished by attaching any brick to your front in a way that it activated the stair-climb state. Not just cylinders. -- The first fling glitch was due to the characters' arms being literal bricks with physics and collisions. Players could also hang off ledges if they were holding an item. It was fixed by disabling collision on the players' arms, which caused another short-lived issue where your arms would fall through the ground when you died.
There was another glitch of flying back in 2012, It involved connecting 1 by 1 block on both your feet. This tricked the game into thinking you were climbing and thus allowed you to fly. It's been patched since. Another glitch was that allowed you to move way faster by standing in a barrel like shape that isn't connected to the floor and walking. It made you go extremely fast
an interesting thing you can do with lagjumping, or at least the freeze aspect of it, is that you are able to travel infinite distance in the air with two players. i noticed this after realizing that you can climb on other players because of the space between their joints. Player 1 freezes themselves in the air, then Player 2 climbs the now frozen Player 1, only to freeze themself directly in front of them, so that Player 1 can unfreeze and climb on Player 2, and then this cycle repeats over and over until one person messes up.
14:13 Seeing this game brought back so many memories. I remember being at my friends house and we were all playing it together, and there were some hackers in the game that were helping her win and I just remember her typing and saying out loud “Go my hackers, I am your queen!”. That quote still lives in my head to this day.
can confirm about that float point thing. i was born in the US but when i took a trip to japan i started levitating and deforming because i was too far from spawn
i was born in japan, everything was already deformed there and everyone was already levitating there, and it was really annoying so my family moved to the us
Weird specific glitch memory but you used to be able to make a skateboard join up onto another skateboard, creating a duo skateboard. I would get a friend on one and me on the other and we would skate around.
the huge avatar glitched got patched but to a point, they made it so if the meshes of your avatar extend beyond a certain point it just gets scaled down to a 1:1 of the original on your avatar
wall hop is done by flicking on a brick below a wall that has the same width as the wall before 1 frame (faster than your fps) passes. because the signal is faster than the frame, it will be commanded to jump before it gets pushed out when a frame passes, allowing you to wall hop. dance clip is done by using /e dance and waiting until its the furthest from the humanoidrootpart, tilting your camera 90 degrees and use shift lock. The humanoidrootpart is the "center of rotation", if you play the /e dance2 animation while turning around with shift lock using arrow keys, you'll find that it goes in a flower pattern. Using this knowledge, the player is able to clip through the wall. Layered clothing monsters are caused by stacked layered clothing i.e. putting layers on top of another layer to make it thicker and thus bigger, using the advanced feature in avatar when using the BTRoblox plugin, you can put multiple ids of clothing in there, this was patched, however it still works with some accesories but not that intense, e.G. layered hair stuffs, the hitbox of what the layer should be enveloped around it gets misread, and causes it to extend in one or more directions. Frog jump is caused when 2 players jump on eachother with completely off-sync timings, the top player gets boosted, the bottom players gets slammed to the ground and can jump again from the ground and boost the player again, sometimes, a random mysterious force pulls the player to the legs. You can see this if you do it with high jump power, you can see the bottom player being pulled towards your legs. Freeze glitch... go ask a computer programmer loloollololoolol Freeze bounce is done by building up a lot of velocity, freezing and at a certain distance. The game will build up more velocity and when you hit the ground you will sink through the ground and the physics engine messes itself up and tries to move the player out of the floor but instead the player bounces with high velocity because the engine overestimated how fast the player was falling to make it easier (kinda). Lag jump is done when you freeze when the landing animation has the 2 arms at about 90 degrees. The same procedure with the freeze bounce will occur, just lighter, adding up with the velocity of the jump, it launches you a bit higher. ***NOT TRUE EXPLANATION BECAUSE I SUCK*** Null zone (floating point) is when roblox struggles to render parts at a far distance (most notably every power of 2) and parts be rendered more stupidly the further you go. At 65536, the first notable sighting of the floating point begins; looking closely into a part, it seems to lightly jitter. At 1 million and up, moving parts with touch detectors no longer work, and as said, jittering gets worser the further out you progress. At 2.09 million and up, all parts, even anchored, will collapse down to the same [center pos at wherever how far they are in what coordinate (x y z) of part, example in y coord the parts collapse down to the same y coord as the more massive part] the part that has more mass, e.g. a baseplate. Rendering engine bla bla bla, so not going to be fixed anytime sooner. Hinge-fly glitch is done by attaching a hinge with its parent being a climbable object to the front of your torso, the hinge won't let go of your torso, so you can just spam jump and fly, however, you can trip because the hinge can go unstable sometimes. Wall fling is caused when the arms push themselves away from the wall, however sometimes they can get stuck in it, forcing the physics engine to burst them out, flinging the player ***NOT TRUE EXPLANATION BECAUSE I SUCK***
Since I started playing in 2019 these has been many times where I would press jump on mobile and I would repeatedly jump even though i wasn’t touching the jump button i don’t know of this is Roblox’s fault or something on apple’s end (I’ve only played roblox mobile on apple devices) but still very annoying glitch
i don't know how many people remember this but it worked in any game where if you used a gear that was a spraypaint can and then walked over it with the sun gear with flowers then the block would glitch out and fling everywhere
Infinite jump might not be fixable because it mostly relies on lag, something which is, just like floating precision point, a pretty much expected and unavoidable thing.
There was a glitch in Welcome to Roblox Building where you attach 4 incinerators around one block with one block under it with a chair on top and sit on it, turn on the incinerator, and rotate the chair on which you're sitting and jump, this way you're stuck to the thing you built. When you delete the bottom block, you can walk around the place with the thing you built. So now with fire blazing incineration strapped onto you, you could just walk upto someone or builderman to kill them or walk around someone's creation to burn it permanently. Another glitch was of those blue colored jump pads where you make a rocket ship which pushed itself to the top of the map. Turns out the roblox staff knew about this one and had one npc towards the roof waiting for you when you do this glitch where their dialog box would say "You're not supposed to be here!" when you approach them and click on them. Several more gliches and exploits in roblox in the past, it was part of the fun.
the spore glitch stuck out to me for being incredibly specific and unlikely to trigger, and then getting patched so soon like it was top priority that gamers be able to play spore and roblox at the same time

@@miloyall third one is uncommon for everyone, yet its a simple daily thing for me, or rather used to be. Got better WIFI
Yeah this happens to me a lot when playing Mining Simulator 2, sometimes it will say "logged in from another device" when i did not. Just to be safe i resetted my password to something ultra complex. Also another bug is that sometimes when im playing mining sim 2 on ipad for awhile it starts randomly kicking me out of the game for no reason
every time i see that message im like ohh sh have i got banned
It's launched not logged
2007 Roblox was so jank and fun. I remembered messing around trying to clip through walls, fling players around, and trying to fly using your avatar alone. I'd like to add there was also a glitch around 2014-2015 where you could basically jump higher using a sword or item by equipping and unequipping it very fast while jumping. It was really fun going to places where nobody could reach lol. Other than that, it's great seeing these glitches again after all these years.
Thanks for the video!
you could do the same glitch with the roped in 2012-2014
there was also another flying glitch i used to do on build to survive the drakkobloxxers where you would take 2 bricks and attach them to either leg, making you fly whenever you walked but you HAD to keep walking or you'd fall
I joined Roblox in 2008 when I was a wee lad. It's so nostalgic going back and seeing all the glitches I used to exploit and encounter!
The float glitch with btools has had many variations over the years. the specific one of attaching a part to you worked up until about 2010 when it changed to getting on a part that you have picked up and looking down/up you'd start to fly similar to other games.

The wall fling glitch was the best. I learned it while I was in one of those sword fighting groups. It was a really fun glitch
My aunt and I would create wings and turn ourselves into Pokémon and fool around with the flying in this one game called "The Fire Sea".
you could also attach bricks to your feet and you would start flying if you walked but you had to keep walking or you'd just stand normally
ngl the story of you and your aunt playing is kinda really nice
the layered clothing glitch is one of the glitches i personally like. i use it to make my avatar look fat. because i just liked the look of making my avatar look fat, thinking it looks cute. honestly if they patch it, i would like a way to be able to modify the weight of your avatar, body mass kinda like how you can do in the sims to your sims characters.
uhhhhhhhh

With this you can walk up to players and "Grab" them as they are able to pick up the item
thats funny i didnt know that
Exploiters actually delete their humanoid to have a similar except to tp players, kill them or give them undroppable tools.
its called gear desync
There was a glitch in many building games in early roblox, where if you put two small 1 stud sized box on your legs, the character would try and climb those objects like a ladder but since the objects are stuck to your legs you would basically fly. A fun way to survive waves on survive the drakkbloxers back in the days.
12:19 "ight yea go ahead" I'M DEAD LMFAOOOO
I would LOVE a video on VIP/gamepasses in early Roblox games, and their evolution. I remember having to buy and wear a specific t-shirt in order to access VIP rooms or special content (like those Pokemon morph games giving you legendary Pokemon for wearing a certain t-shirt). Maybe you could also look at the various ways VIP rooms were defended, I think that would be an incredibly niche but interesting topic. Most VIP rooms were just boxes with doors that killed you unless you had the t-shirt, but I remember some that got more creative with it.
i love the way you do such deep research and make the video complete without it becoming boring
i admire you so much, i bet u do the best essays at school
Roblox glitches have always been crazy, for all of these years
oh my god i did not know there were so many glitches in roblox's history lmao, nice video btw!
You can make small boxes with wood/plastic and, if you can avoid climbing over the sides, go at mach 3 by pushing the box across a flat surface.
great video as always!
I miss the corner clipping glitch I used that one so many times in cafes to get into places I wasnt supposed to be in
Very interesting video!
This glitch was frequently used at Crossroads and lasted a couple of months longer than the walking in mid-air glitch before it was finally patched in early 2015.
theres also the /sc/sc glitch that would crash your game in 2012 and the alt 255 glitch in the chat
your npc videos sucks
Super underrated channel with interesting content like this.
Look mom, I'm on TV!
Fun fact: The "plane glitch" was actually originally done by attaching bricks to your arms (which had studs on them and didn't animate back then) and then building stairs in front of you which you could walk up infinitely.
This was also another way to stick players together if you stood next to each other correctly then putting a brick attached to both of your characters...though it usually resulted in near instant death by clipping you out of the world and falling to your death.
you're really underrated dude, hope more people notices your work
Keep in mind Corner Clipping has been patched recently. If you attempt it it won't work so don't think you can't do it.
Same
The layered clothing is sort of patched now.
It was especially useful in build to survive games!
wow i remember doing that in build to survive dragobloxxers! i also remember sabotaging players who did that by deleting their block lmao.
I remember there was a glitch between 2016-2017 where you can pass through walls when walking backwards if you're using an animation bundle.
There are also other freeze related glitches such freeze clipping
Also an incident that happened a while ago where wallhops are possible to walk on with only 60 fps
rip freeze clipping :(
my friend that showed my brother and i Roblox started learning code after we fell out of contact with him and he made a place that literally gave you the Bloxxer badge back when the old combat system was still in the game. my brother told me about the place after the changes with the combat system happened, so when i played it for myself, it just killed my character over and over with no respawn delay. maybe he was exploiting was some bug that counted a KO on yourself as a KO on your stats without getting any WO's or something. whatever it was, it was pretty cool for the time.
One glitch that has happened to me a lot yet i cant find nothing about is a glitch where you loose your body and become invisible but instead of the body disappearing it just stays where you lost it
I remember doing frog jumping by mistake back in 2015-ish when I tried jumping up a wall with someone in a mario roleplay game. It was pretty fun.
There is a modern days glitch that still works where you can equip as many hats as you want to if you equip the hats before it loads

why
lots of other glitches exist too
- fling control (if you land on a part while being ragdolled, you have a chance of being flung really far and sometimes, turning your camera in shiftlock let's you literally control the direction of where you fling)
- laugh clip (using /e laugh allows you to clip through 1 stud thick walls)
- item clip (spamming equipping an unequipping an item with an autoclicker allows you to walk through walls)
- r15 sleep glitch (similar to laugh clip)
- luck/lag clip (sometimes roblox physics suck and you just randomly clip through walls)
- subplace joining bug (if you go into roblox api, you can search up a game's or group's places and sometimes you are able to join subplaces you should not be able to join after a few tries of joining the place)
- the 2022 r6 spasm bug (your avatar during a day would have all of its body parts glitching around and it could allow you to clip through walls, jump really high, and fling around)
there was a glitch where characters didn't load and you were the classic noob skin, this was in like 2020 - 2021
@@rwsd343 it still does do that sometimes
Does someone remember a glitch around 2013 - 2014 where you were able to climb stairs at absurd speeds by just tilting your camera a bit using shiftlock?
i remember it was a speedrun strat that i used at zombie tower
you could just jump while climing trusses to go up superspeed. is that what you mean?
man some of those older glitches really brought me back to when i was a kid trying to clip through walls on random games thinking i was cool
0:55 this glitch also happens if build a boat for treasure which have hinge blocks
theres also a glitch where a brick that makes u jump inside one that makes u trip will fling u, and spamming shiftlock would make u go all crazy, even takes u out of floating points sometimes
15:18 that’s my video 💀
-- The fly glitch could be accomplished by attaching any brick to your front in a way that it activated the stair-climb state. Not just cylinders.
-- The first fling glitch was due to the characters' arms being literal bricks with physics and collisions. Players could also hang off ledges if they were holding an item. It was fixed by disabling collision on the players' arms, which caused another short-lived issue where your arms would fall through the ground when you died.
You forgot one glitch which let you no clip walls with tools, you had to spam equip it to do it and have a low framerate
@@AlexKaboom yeah makes sense but that was a very game breaking glitch thats why I was impressed it didn't appear there
roblox corner clip getting patched was the worst day of obbies because of all the drama and all the flings getting patche
OMG! I remember the one where people got stuck together. That was so long ago. I was playing Digimon Aurity as a trainer, so long ago. Good memories!
lemme dip my toes into some lava
*unwillingly*
Wall hopping still exists, it's just been made harder with the "removal" of < > functionality
an interesting thing you can do with lagjumping, or at least the freeze aspect of it, is that you are able to travel infinite distance in the air with two players. i noticed this after realizing that you can climb on other players because of the space between their joints. Player 1 freezes themselves in the air, then Player 2 climbs the now frozen Player 1, only to freeze themself directly in front of them, so that Player 1 can unfreeze and climb on Player 2, and then this cycle repeats over and over until one person messes up.

Seeing this game brought back so many memories. I remember being at my friends house and we were all playing it together, and there were some hackers in the game that were helping her win and I just remember her typing and saying out loud “Go my hackers, I am your queen!”.
That quote still lives in my head to this day.
What is the song for the glitches between the '04-'05 years? It reminds me of that one obby house

the wall fling glitch can appear in "life in paradise island"
the huge avatar glitched got patched but to a point, they made it so if the meshes of your avatar extend beyond a certain point it just gets scaled down to a 1:1 of the original on your avatar
fun fact at 7:05-7:09 toastedcherries says "I want everyone watching this video to guess what hat this Player is wearing."
😱
REALLY?
Rip CC man, it was one of my favourite glitches, at least they didn't patch wallhopping (yet, hopefully never)
wall hop is done by flicking on a brick below a wall that has the same width as the wall before 1 frame (faster than your fps) passes. because the signal is faster than the frame, it will be commanded to jump before it gets pushed out when a frame passes, allowing you to wall hop.
dance clip is done by using /e dance and waiting until its the furthest from the humanoidrootpart, tilting your camera 90 degrees and use shift lock.
Freeze glitch... go ask a computer programmer loloollololoolol
Freeze bounce is done by building up a lot of velocity, freezing and at a certain distance.
***NOT TRUE EXPLANATION BECAUSE I SUCK***
Null zone (floating point) is when roblox struggles to render parts at a far distance (most notably every power of 2) and parts be rendered more stupidly the further you go.
The glitches of roblox gives you so much perspective of how glitches were back then to compared to how they are nowadays
5:46 why that username though
no wonder why i can't do the corner clip glitch anymore
Since I started playing in 2019 these has been many times where I would press jump on mobile and I would repeatedly jump even though i wasn’t touching the jump button i don’t know of this is Roblox’s fault or something on apple’s end (I’ve only played roblox mobile on apple devices) but still very annoying glitch

i don't know how many people remember this but it worked in any game where if you used a gear that was a spraypaint can and then walked over it with the sun gear with flowers then the block would glitch out and fling everywhere
that's a very old glitch which used to work around 2014-2015, i believe it got patched though
7:35 sus on nickname
I remember in 2012 where you could build a Toilet with a Lamp together, then sit on the toilet and use it as a small plane
Infinite jump might not be fixable because it mostly relies on lag, something which is, just like floating precision point, a pretty much expected and unavoidable thing.
Yeah it works de to lag since on a client ur on top, on the other ur also on top
