I mean, there is a lot to hate about Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels. Not only does it not change anything from the original, but also that the Warp-Pipes can sometimes take you backwards, the levels are either stupidly hard or just incredibly confucing, the annoying wind that's featured in some levels and the fact that you also have to beat the game EIGHT times just to unlock World A-D.
Fun fact: lost levels does a few things. It has updated textures, adds a way to unlock bonus content (with both the world 9 method & the letter world method), adds springs & gave us Luigi’s physics. Also I’m pretty sure lost levels actually make the requirement of beating the game 8 times to just beating it once to unlock world A-D.
@@bingobo2551Out of all Mainline Mario games though, it is probably the one that added the least New content outside of maybe one of the NSMB games. Also, I looked it up and you do have to beat it 8 times.
As a kid, I played Super Mario World on the SNES. This was before the internet. There is one Ghost House without a second exit. That didn't stop me from looking for it for weeks,
11:14 I don’t get why they keep dropping the ball with bosses. Looking back to the first New Super Mario bros game on DS, you can see that they are capable of doing unique bosses. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, just not the same enemies over and over again
In my opinion the castle song from that game is *still* one of the most powerful, grand, and emotional songs we've ever gotten in a mainline 2D Mario game. You really feel the looming yet imminent threat of trekking through a grand castle with danger around every corner and a fiery death almost inevitable if you make a single mistep.
Hot Take: Odyssey would have been way better if there were only 200 moons but every single one had genuine effort and an actual challenge behind it. More in line with 64 (DS).
I agree with that but that game is made with exploration in mind so giving 999 moons actually did help the players be more interested in exploring like when i completed 124 moons i was given the challenge for dark side and darker side and it kept me interested after that i occasionally would hop on complete some moons. If there weren't anything to do after darker side or not anymore moons i don't think i would have played it anymore. So yeah they could have reduced the moon but its not like you are forced to get all moons and its you who decide their own journey.
9:42 The moons I hated the most were the minigame moons. And the minigame that pissed me off the most was the 100 rope jumps moon in the Metro Kingdom- (Koopa Freerunning was my only exclusion.)
I totally agree with what you said about all the New Super Mario Bros. Games. NSMBDS's final boss was so easy and basic compared to all the other New Super Mario Bros. Games, overall the level designs in the game were very good. NSMBWii's 4 player co op is very fun, but can be chaotic most of the time, and NSMB2 is way too easy because of the amount of coins they put in every single level. It also felt like NSMBWii on the 3ds, but with added bahs to the soundtrack and added coin collecting gimmick. NSMBU was basically NSMBWii, but in hd, and only 1 new powerup with mostly reused music from NSMBWii and nothing new as much. The world maps were new but i found the songs very boring. New Super Luigi U was NSMBU again but with better level designs. My Favourite New Super Mario Bros. Games are DS & Wii. Also, ive never played Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but all the boss levels are just Bowser Jr, no other characters like in the NSMB series were each boss fight were different expecially in the original game for the Nintendo DS.

Super Mario Land was one of the earliest Game Boy games, released back in 1989. I'd therefore cut it a bit of slack in the graphics department. It was, after all, the very first handheld Mario platformer. That said, my complaint is that the game is way too short plus many of the stages (of which there are only 12) have noticeable copy-pasted sections. The second SML (6 Golden Coins) was better in every way, but I guess you've got to start somewhere.
Yes, I can't recall a level from Super Mario 3D Land too, but i find those levels more interesting than in Super Mario 3D World. In World they're just... plain, like everything is lying in it's spot for you, and the one challenge you can resort to is trying no-damage perfect runs, which can get really annoying. 3D Land's levels felt more interesting to explore for me.
Yeah, the lack of boss variety in Super Mario Bros Wonder was a huge problem for me. So much in fact that a part of me is actually glad that it didn’t win Game of the Year in 2023.

My gripe for mario odyssey was the awful coin grinding to purchase costumes and to purchase 100 moons for a 999 completion. Oh and that damn jump rope. I had to do the glitch because it was near impossible
I made the mistake of replaying SM64, and one thing I hated was how Mario would condtantly walk off ledges in a completely different direction from what I was holding on the controller. To be more specific, whenever Mario is moving and has some momentum, if you try to turn the opposite direction, instead of slowing down, turning around and speeding back up, Mario keeps walking full speed while only slowly turning i a circular arc. This will cause him to frequently walk straight off ledges if the circular arc takes him to one. It just pissed me off how many times I kept dying because I was trying to reposition Mario on a small platform, and then instead of stopping and going the direction I hold on the controller, he starts sprinting in his big circular arc and runs straight off the platform.
What I hate about Super Mario Bros is the fact that so many levels are actually identical to one another especially on the Star Worlds. 1-3 is the same as 5-3. 1-4 is the same as 6-4. 2-2 is the same as 7-2. 2-3 is the same as 7-3. 2-4 is the same as 5-4.
Super Mario Wonder might be a great new part/additon to the 2D Mario Games in a big way But yea, i wish it didn't have such meh bosses I mean theres practically only 2 real bosses The Bowser Jr. Fights and Final Bowser fight Say what you will about the koopalings reappearing in most of the NSMB Games, i'd before to see them here (And see what the wonder flowers would do to them) vs just fighting BJ again and again
What I keep saying about Mario Wonder, They really should have used the Koopalings instead of Junior (not saying Junior should be completely cut out-) A lot of people apparently have been whining about those 7 kids appearing too much, and being too similar. But I really think this would have been the perfect game to give them that distinct personality for each, while also taking their own gimmicks. (Heck, I'm pretty sure a couple of the things Wonder Junior does, are things that one of the Koopalings were able to do in other games).
I have 5 "gripes" with the new game Mario Wonder game: 1. The new sounds don't feel like a "Mario" game (like the ground pound and sound when you use the fire flower and even the new jump get annoying) eg) 2. The voice acting is high-pitched and can get annoying 3. Rip triple jumps 4. Also the game lacks extra things to do or a true online mode the ghosts and little semi-interactions are funny and more stable but I want to play a real level with random people... Lastly, besides some "Badge Challenge levels" the game has little to no actual challenge, unlike games like Mario 3D Land Mario Bros U, Mario Bros Wii or even Oddyesy, which had stuff like extra challenges and game modes (Which I anticipated and hoped to play with my friends in Mario Wonder. (Also there is only 3 boss types, Bowser Jr. the weird airship encounters, and Bowser). Although I do love the game, it has flaws and "whatever "Bubble Mario" did" it is an overall great game aside from "Bubble Mario".
Mario wonder I didn’t like the quiz game and the easy battleship internal machine. Plus, i raged quit on the FINAL FINAL test special level because i couldn’t get past the coil spring jump section.
for Wonder, I have two complaints (I never fought BJ before so I didn't know he was too repetitive): the overworld turning is choppy (there are only 6 directions he can face while on the overworld) and the game is short. I literally got every single thing without videos for help and 99 lives in 5 days. other than that, though, amazing game.
To me the biggest disappointment is always prob going to be mario odyssey. I think its a fantastic game to play and control mario (prob the best tbh), however the objectives and moons are wildly inconsistent in quality, which brings me to the actual issue: Quantity over quality. To me, the galaxy games had a near perfect balance of quantity of earnable stars AND quality of the levels. Sure maybe you had a couple stinkers (blowing up trash anyone?), but for the most part levels managed to tell whole stories and that was awesome. Then in mario odyssey, my stars come from anything as wild as "run an obstacle course while a massive banzai bill is chasing you" which is great to "see that glowy spot, ground pound it... Congrats!". I never completed the game because most of the stars i was getting just weren't fun at all, they were mundane at best and obnoxious at worst (whoever locked a moon behind getting 100 jump rope challenge is a cruel, CRUEL man). Any moon that involved the rockets/cappy doors though were great because those actually felt like LEVELS with real fun and clever challenges. If we get an odyssey 2, i hope that power moon count is reduced to 200 max so we can get more moons of that quality.
I have an exclusive New Super Mario Bros Game-and-Watch, and I haven’t beaten it. The controls are just so bad. You’re so committed to a jump that you’ve basically had kids with it by the time you land in the bottomless pit.
Did anyone know that Captain toad is in super mario wonder? I found a secret pipe in SunBaked Dessert and it led me to a secret island in the Fungi Mines. He gives you 50 flower coins.
6:20 Personally, my least favorite part of this game is World 9. The levels are frustratingly difficult and it’s worse if you’re trying to get all the star coins (which I was trying to do).
3:56 in my opinion, the thing i DONT like about Mario 64, has to be the controls when using the flying cap, like its kind of like the same as the controls when swimming, and swimming is already clunky in Mario 64, but at least it let you take your time, when you're flying with the flying cap, you go forward all the time, making it feel weird, and worst is that for some reason flying sometimes gets slower when you go upward
@@FaisalBashir1 Yeah, I think it should stay as the controls for swimming, but if Mario's gonna fly, use something else. also, when did I ask for your credit card number??

1. I don't consider The Lost Levels or USA the sequel to Super Mario Bros., they are just different versions of other games, one of those games being unrelated to Mario even. As Mario games or even sequels, they may not work at all. 2. Finally someone mentions the auto-scrolling levels in SMB3, I'm good at videogames, I love this kind of games and I normally don't lose lives to insignificant things like s Goomba, but when it comes to auto-scrollers, I get an instant Game Over, and I hate that, even The Lost Levels is more forgiving. Interesting you hate them for the opposite 3. Tbh, the "linear" part of Super Mario World is non-existent for me, there are so many routes, and you can just skip most castles, the fastest route only requires 11 exits! So a simple Mansion that disorients me isn't annoying, at least not for me, people who like Linear games may not like it at all, but I personally like choosing my own pace and route, rather than doing what I'm intended to.
Huge agree on Super Mario Galaxy. The motion controls are a blemish on an otherwise almost-perfect game (still hate those Gearmo challenges though 🤬) I agree on the bland atmosphere for Galaxy 2 as well, but I still think the motion controls are the greater of two evils for that game.
To be fair, I liked that the motion controls parts helped aid the game's feeling of going to alien worlds different from what you're normally used to. Plus if I remember right (which I could easily not) most of the motion control parts were skippable as you could just get the stars you needed from other galaxies.
I don't understand the criticism of New Super Mario Bros Wii and U get of being the exact same as the ones before. They are because they're 2D Mario platformers. But they each have completely different levels, music, and power-ups.
I agree I wasn't a fan of the autoscrollers in Super Mario Bros 3. There were just too many of them, and a lot of them aren't even fun to play. World 8 can be a drag to play through since literally half of the levels are autoscrollers.
I mean, there is a lot to hate about Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels.
It was intended to save space
For Mario World, my complaint would definitely be the P-Balloon.
Super Mario Wonder might be a great new part/additon to the 2D Mario Games in a big way
But yea, i wish it didn't have such meh bosses
I mean theres practically only 2 real bosses
The Bowser Jr. Fights and Final Bowser fight
Say what you will about the koopalings reappearing in most of the NSMB Games, i'd before to see them here (And see what the wonder flowers would do to them) vs just fighting BJ again and again
Super Mario Bros. 2 is like the other mario game's middle child.
Early to a Bits vid, love that. I hate the camera in SM64, but I get it for its time.
Edit: Oh I see I wasn't alone LOL.
For Super Mario Land, Mario's clunkiness. When he jumps, he goes slow. And when he falls, he falls like a brick.
I spent like 2 days just on mario galaxy's motion controled level
Mario Wonder is funniest Mario Game in its whole series!
as a sonic fan, best video on the platform
What I keep saying about Mario Wonder,
They really should have used the Koopalings instead of Junior (not saying Junior should be completely cut out-)
A lot of people apparently have been whining about those 7 kids appearing too much, and being too similar.
But I really think this would have been the perfect game to give them that distinct personality for each, while also taking their own gimmicks.
(Heck, I'm pretty sure a couple of the things Wonder Junior does, are things that one of the Koopalings were able to do in other games).
I have 5 "gripes" with the new game Mario Wonder game:
1. The new sounds don't feel like a "Mario" game (like the ground pound and sound when you use the fire flower and even the new jump get annoying) eg)
2. The voice acting is high-pitched and can get annoying
3. Rip triple jumps
Although I do love the game, it has flaws and "whatever "Bubble Mario" did" it is an overall great game
aside from "Bubble Mario".
Can you make Super Mario Bros Wonder hardest challenge. That will be cool.
7:54 I still remember basically every level 😂😂😂
But you have to agree they had creativity to create different battles with only BOWSER JR in mario wonder😅
I still recommend you mario + rabbids sparks of hope
Like this Video. Can you make a Video of 1 thing i hate about every mario kart game going from Super Mario Kart to the Most Recent.
The complaint about Mario Odyssey is so minor, I don’t think it’s a complaint. Odyssey is a perfect game.
Not every Mario game every mainline Mario game.
I definitely agree with the overworld movement
The reason i don’t like mario wonder that much
Is the opposite of what you don’t like about NSMB wiii
Did anyone know that Captain toad is in super mario wonder? I found a secret pipe in SunBaked Dessert and it led me to a secret island in the Fungi Mines. He gives you 50 flower coins.
I really like this type of video
5:10 the most disappointing part of it was (ad starts) RUclips PREMIUM!
perfect timing
You missed the original Mario Bros arcade game 😕
I hate how everybody just pretends it doesn’t exist, ITS ACTUALLY SOO GOOD AND ADDICTIVE
make a part to cause there are still much more mario games
6:20 multiplayer is 100% the best feature of New super mario bros Wii. U just don’t have friends
6:20 Personally, my least favorite part of this game is World 9. The levels are frustratingly difficult and it’s worse if you’re trying to get all the star coins (which I was trying to do).
You should do this for mario RPGs too!
now do 1 thing you like from every mario game
3:56 in my opinion, the thing i DONT like about Mario 64, has to be the controls when using the flying cap, like its kind of like the same as the controls when swimming, and swimming is already clunky in Mario 64, but at least it let you take your time, when you're flying with the flying cap, you go forward all the time, making it feel weird, and worst is that for some reason flying sometimes gets slower when you go upward
The swimming controls in Mario 64 are actually my favorite in the Mario series. And no, you can’t have my credit card number.
@@FaisalBashir1 Yeah, I think it should stay as the controls for swimming, but if Mario's gonna fly, use something else. also, when did I ask for your credit card number??
Bro now you uploaded while I was doing voice practice.
one thing i hate in Mario Games
Super Mario Bros: Time going too fast and it can lead to time up.
Super mario bros lost levels: Hard Version
Super mario bros 2: Not a Mario Game
Super Mario Land: Black and White
Super Mario Bros 3: Autoscroll
Super Mario World: Hard to find a Exit in Ghost House and hard in a Castle
Super Mario Land 2: Zoomed Screen
Super Mario RPG (First 3D Mario Game): It is easy to get game-breaking items.
Super Mario 64: Camera
Super Mario Sunshine: Blue Coins and Shadow Mario
New Super Mario Bros DS: Boss Fights
Super Mario Galaxy: Wii Remote
New Super Mario Bros Wii: Having to Save Toad Couple of times
Super Mario Galaxy 2: Happily finding hidden stars
Super Mario 3D Land: Reusable Boss Fights
New Super Mario Bros 2: The Music, The Music is annoying with someone making sounds until the "Bah Bah"
New Super Mario Bros U (New Super Luigi U) (Deluxe): Having to catch Nabbit in levels
Super Mario 3D World: The Character Buttons in some Levels
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker: Not being able to Jump
Super Mario Run: Needing to get each toad colour to unlock the Character
Super Mario Odyseey: Going to Kingdoms that are real life
Bowsers Fury: Bowsers Interruption.
Super Mario Bros Wonder: Boss Fights
I’m surprised you didn’t pick the green stars for Galaxy 2
This video is very fair. Good video.
Interesting you hate them for the opposite
Super Mario 64 DS? Any Mario Sport/Party/Kart? Mario's time machine game?
Huge agree on Super Mario Galaxy. The motion controls are a blemish on an otherwise almost-perfect game (still hate those Gearmo challenges though 🤬)
I agree on the bland atmosphere for Galaxy 2 as well, but I still think the motion controls are the greater of two evils for that game.
To be fair, I liked that the motion controls parts helped aid the game's feeling of going to alien worlds different from what you're normally used to.
Plus if I remember right (which I could easily not) most of the motion control parts were skippable as you could just get the stars you needed from other galaxies.
YES A NEW VIDEO
Love your content 😊😊😊❤❤
IDK If you already know this, but there's a secret Bowser Tournament in Mario Golf Toadstool Tour
I agree with a lot of your takes like for 64 and galaxy
I love your channel
“I agree with everything he just said!”
Only one level in 3d land is memorable, the one you can beat in 6 seconds 😅
I think in super Mario wonder almost all bosses are mostly the same
I don't understand the criticism of New Super Mario Bros Wii and U get of being the exact same as the ones before. They are because they're 2D Mario platformers. But they each have completely different levels, music, and power-ups.
Yeah, the Mario 3dw one is true, but that’s why the different characters have different gimmicks I guess.
I agree I wasn't a fan of the autoscrollers in Super Mario Bros 3. There were just too many of them, and a lot of them aren't even fun to play. World 8 can be a drag to play through since literally half of the levels are autoscrollers.
