Loved this series. Never a bad episode. Elmore Leonard was a genius writer, and whoever did the casting for the roles nailed every one. Raylan was/is the best lawman ever. His moral compass prevailed, even if it was tweaked from time to time.
It was a shame this series didn't go on FOREVER!!!!
There is a reboot, ‘Justified: City Primeval’. But it’s very, very meh compared to the original.
@@jandmathib 66y
@@jandmath boyd and raylan make the show
@@jandmath meh is being polite. it's absolute dogshit, even if you don't compare it to the original.
@@MauiWowieOwieI guess I’d agree to that if pressured 😊
What are you doing" "Is that your Question" such a great line
What really made this show for me was the reversal of the protagonist and antagonist roles between Raylan and Boyd. Such a master stroke of story telling.
The fun part is, Boyd was supposed to die in the pilot. But they loved Goggins' performance so much they changed their minds at the end of filming. And thus a legendary cat & mouse game was born.
@@VivaLaDnDLogsthanks for that tid bit, I didn't know. Only getting one episode of Goggins and Olyphant would have been a travesty.
When was Raylan ever the antagonist?
@@keepgoing2506when was he ever a protagonist, that's the question. A federal marshal abusing his power and violating the protocols, like, several times in a single episode? I wonder who, in their right mind and being a law abiding citizen, would want to be on the receiving end in a situation with such a character IRL? Not to say that it justifies the true antagonists in the series... It just degrades Givens straight down to their level.
@@AlexShavkunovhe's still the protagonist... Just the antihero type
There is not a single bad actor in the bunch. These folks are tip top.
Timothy is a Great actor but Walton is without a doubt one of the Finest actors alive today...Literally crushes every role he has ever had...Boyd is my second fav role of his after Venus VanDam on Sons of Anarchy...
Did you see Walton in Sons of Anarchy?
@@stevemoore6245 did you read my original post where it literally talks about him in Sons of Anarchy or do you just see what you want so you can make trollish comments?
People remember Goggins for The Shield, Justified, Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight, and now Fallout, but he was phenomenal in SoA and it was a wildly different character from what he usually does, which really shows his range
Someone just got done watching fallout
@@christopherpierce6609 Walton has been a acting powerhouse way before fallout.
his best line, though not on this list: After he tosses a bullet at a bad guy, "Next one's coming faster."
It was even better when he told the story to the FBI guys
"Saw it on Johnny Carson. Thought it was pretty cool."
Fine I’ll watch every episode of justified AGAIN. For the 6th time
Watch the sequel series too!
@@werewolfofmandalore Not quite as good as Justified but worth a look!

“People underestimate Bob at their peril!” Truer words never said!
Would have been nice to see him as chief of the police at the end 😢
Bob is the fecking MVP.
@@mattk3654 When Raylan Givens says that he's got to live up to YOUR example, you are officially a badass.
And that was a rephrase of the same statement from S04E01.
TV show writing at its very best.
😢😢@@pghudd
Duffy's freakouts will never *not* be funny. After Tom was killed, Raylan wasn't caring whose brains needed blending for it.
Duffy's freak out didn't look like acting at all.
I'll tell another scene that was simply stellar was Rayland and Duffy in the house that Duffy was painting.
That exchange back and forth is dynamite.
".....ride you down like a teaser pony, and paint this room a whole different color. "

@@elskid206 I think that's the one where they mention mythbusters? I love the Duffy character, SO well acted

Never
Shout out to Elmore Leonard. The best western writer ever.....
I'll see your Elmore Leonard and raise you a Louis L'Amour. But if you raise again I'll probably fold....
Givens playing roulette in the trailer with Duffy is maybe the best scene in the entire show, it's just so completely believable given the actors performances. Givens is finally pushed over the line with the death of a close friend, and Duffy realizing he is going to die if he doesn't give Raylan what he wants.... perfection.
That Duffy scene is certainly one of my favorites.
0:45 😮
Definitely one of the best scenes, but its hard to choose because there's so many great scenes. The writing, dialogue, acting and storylines throughout is just too good to pick only one favorite moment.
I think my favourite episode is when Dewey pretends to be Raylan to hit those drug dealers
In the shot when he spins the chamber you can see that it's in the third chamber when he closes it. Presumably he sees it too and knows he has two empty chambers to burn through.
I cherish every time Raylon and Dewey talk to each other, where Dewey is the annoying little brother and Raylan being the sensible and responsible one
Loved the show, but honestly Raylan really bullied Dewey...not that Dewey didn't often deserve it...

@@ComedyBros5 I got goosebumps just reading your comment, hahahaa
Damon Herriman , an Aussie, NAILED that accent. I thought ya boy was from Kentucky...
He's from the very deep south.
He also played a good role in another awesome series, Mr. Inbetween.
im watching it all over again such was the quality of the cast and the scripts ,the delivery of punch lines was excellent.
Raylan reached for his hat first, not his gun LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣
A gem series. Timothy Olyphant unique and the series most excellent. Bought the DVDs. Never tire of the episodes.
City Primeval was too dark a setting for me.
If he rides again, I want to see Raglan in Arizona or some such, sunlit, cowboy environment.
One of the Best TV Shows Ever Made!!
Ole Dewey would have lost about half his teeth if he'd fired that shotgun 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Duffy was thinking real hard about what he knew to tell Raylan about, lol.
Sheldon’s dad has a few secrets it would seem.
The most handsome man in the world Timothy olyphant!!!!
2nd to Sam Elliot
Timothy and Sam and Tom Selleck. WHY hasn't someone made a movie stating those three?
We need lawman like that now days
something about the way he says "youre welcome to come in and look for it" is just hilarious
Duffy was a great actor for this show.
"People underestimate Bob... boy do they ever. One cool actor.
My favorite season was 3...all the actors were great, but McDonough was over-the-top awesome
Raylan asked Dewey if he could rack a round before he shoots him but then when he empties the shotgun there was already a round in the chamber
Doesn't matter, he made Dewey doubt himself which was all he needed
Good catch.
Dewey would have lost.
More likely they just cut out the first rack....you see all kinds of continuity errors from editing....
Raylan Givens is the baddest US Marshal since Matt Dillon!
The Raylan and Duffy Russian roulette scene…..🔥🔥🔥
I've always hated watching Dewey put that shotgun right up against his cheek!!
I wish the show was still filming-loved the entertainment- we don’t have enough of that anymore.
Hands down my favorite show.
I believe Raylan feared Boon, Boon is quick on the draw and Raylan feared he could possibly lose against him, he only survived because he lowers his stance when drawing.
no its because boon always went for the head. he missed with lorettas boyfriend as well
@@vampirefox7That's exactly what I said, read before commenting.
He lowered his stance, thus making him only grace his head.
Had he aimed lower, or for the heart, they both would've died.
@@EricTheBroBeanbut boon wasnt accurate and raylan didnt know he only goes for the head
@@vampirefox7Boon didnt account for Raylan lowerin his stance when he shoots, it would've been a clean headshot.
@@EricTheBroBeani watched it frame by frame and it looks like is standing straight up. he doesnt go super low like old west gunslingers. to me it is just boon being inaccurate because they set it up in other scenes he misses because he always goes for the head
I've watched this series through twice. I have the feeling there's a third in my future.
I watch it start to finish every two years, I guarantee there'll be a 3rd time for you, most likely a 4th and 5th time too.
Only twice? Next time I watch it again will be close to a dozen!
Raylon and Boyd are like Batman and Joker, except that they kind of like each other.
Although there were some truly evil antagonists, they could never quite match up to Raylan.
2:26 man I don't understand you lolz, best reaction ever.
Great show! Saw 2nd series, now enjoying 1st series just as much 😊
Outstanding acting all around.
One of the few shows that never fell off, only got better season after season
@@imperialstar0063 Arguable that S5 was a step backwards, mainly due to the "villain" choice, but S6 came in guns blazing and didn't let up - more than made up for the Crowe family.
Ya know your name dontcha? Gets me every time. Brilliant show. Got to work with the Production Designer, Dave Blass on Longmire. Both great shows about great lawmen.
Loved the series.
the russian roulette one is amazing
Harlan Roulette
It felt so raw. Like, it was the first time we really got to see how dark and serious Raylan could get if he was pushed far enough, and it was incredible.
Boyd would make a great wondering hero with a dark past.
Dewey Crowe....LMAO. 🤣🤣🤣
The actor that plays Dewey is in Breaking Bad as the cracked head whose house Jesse sneaks into to get the stolen crack.
He was also in Saving Private Ryan. He played Private Upham, I believe.
@@jamescrowe7892 I’ve never seen the whole movie but just the other day I saw a small segment and I think Upton was play by Actor that plays Dickie in justified. Or at least I think so that but I can’t keep Dickie and Dewey straight n my head as they were very similarly written

It's so hard to find good writing. And just as hard to keep it going. I remember the first scene of Justified.
Always liked this show,
boon was the only one Raylan seemed nervous. Also Boon had a weird obsession or like respect for Raylan or something
Boon was fast, but way too cocky, and IMHO by seeking a draw down with Raylon had a death wish!
@@stephencolley334 I agree.
@stephencolley334 but he did have some obsession about raylan, whether it was his cockiness that he could win or he was trying to be like him. Idol him. Even down to the hat. Raylan seemed to know Boon was quick too, so IMHO I thought raylan looked more concerned than almost any other drawdown on an enemy
What is right is right
Exceptional acting.
What a brilliant show!!!! 👍👍
Top notch entertainment.❤
Boon. The great pretender.
I love how Crowe holds that 12 guage
Duffy and Raylan in the RV… their acting is too good.
8:11 He killed Sheldon's dad
yep, had to look that up, go figure. Frank survived and married Sheldon's mom and assumed a new life for the better lol.
In my age of good ole Southern Boy in younger years pump was loaded and pumped, Gun loaded round in chamber , Crow clearly a danger to himself in his movie role
totally enjoyed this no incessant yapping trying to pad it out 🤟
Really enjoyed this show.
Love the ending.
"We dug coal together." Gets me every time. Not watching the new series.
Not gonna lie when Raylan hit the ground in the last episode, I thought they killed him off.

No matter how many times I watch this series, this guy Raylan reminds me of...ME.
Nice collection but you should have saved the one with Boone for last.
I wish they’d kept Wynn a Psychopath, instead of turning him into a sympathetic criminal.
I wonder whose pictures are on the wall at the 16:27 mark. Im 90% sure thats a Platoon Photo from basic training in Fort Benning GA.
The fact they skipped the whole this badge will make it legal should be a crime that’s is without a doubt one of if not the coldest line he drops

The bad guy at “Boyd Gets Outplayed”…It’s Schanke from Forever Night! He faked his death and turned to a life of crime. 😅
That Nutzi got the Fashy…
Can you do a justified funniest moments please
That smoke transition is on point, is it custom or After Effects?
Anyone else enjoying the "game show" probability situation going on here? At first, there is a 1/6 probability of the bullet being in the chamber. Now, in the game show, when there are 3 doors, they'll take one away and ask if you want to change your mind. If you change your mind, the odds remain 1/3, but if you stay, the odds are 1/2 that you have selected the right door. Now, the game show knows that, so it moves into game theory. But here, nobody knows which is the empty chamber! No game theory! So, with one of the "no doors" removed, staying with the door (which you have to do, can't change places in the cylinder unless you "reroll" it), probability goes up from 16.7% to 20%. And after the next one, goes up from 20% to 25%. Super, duper fun with math, not scary at all!
Of course, we all know it’s spelled Marshal Raylan Givens.
U.S. Marshal Deputy Raylan Givens 😊
Who in their right mind, holds a shot gun on their chin? 🤔
The guy that thought he had more than two kidneys
@@theoriginalemim LOL I remember that, damn funny
Raylan shot Young Sheldon's Dad. Cool!
Did not like the Reboot had high hopes for it last year but wasn't the same, barely even shot anyone .
What series was this?
Damn! So that’s how Young Sheldon’s daddy died!😉
And an ambulance
so 7:21 is the reason why Sheldon's dad passed early?
I tried counting the bodies, who killed more people Rayray or Boyd
Good question
@@GENO618 Rayray 24 to Boyd's 17
He should never ever have let the writers of his visit to Detroit do so much damage to a truly unique character he once was. I don't think I can ever view him seriously again.
