I was not comfortable with just using 4 bolts instead 6 on the release bracket. I drilled 2 holes in the puck and used a backing plate to move mount forward.
Great job I had mine for three years now where did you get the V block on the trailer all they gave me was the tiny little plastic roller and I have been looking for V blocks that I could mount on the winch tube and I can't find any
Yes it has hold up with no problems. If you are not comfortable with doing it that way they do sell brackets that slide out to get over the edge of the boat.
i have the same boat and want to install a TM. How did you wire from the console to the TM plug? Or did it come wired? That will most likely be my biggest challenge.
Hey, any thoughts on the 72 inch after a year? I am currently in the market and am torn between doing with the 72 and the 87 on my 234. Do you think the 87 could fit without too much overhang? I've heard that the 72 can pop out of the water.
No problems with the 72 inch. We added a brace at the head unit to keep it from bouncing. We have not had it when it’s really rough. Just in the rivers and near shore
I saw dad in his Jags jersey… Duuuvvval!
Makes fishing a lot better for several species. Especially flounder. Good upgrade.
It really does. It’s a game changer having spot lock while snapper fishing.
Thanks. You’re making all the right content. Came for the Robalo stuff but absolutely need to see things like this in general.
Thanks
Thanks for installing our trolling motor. You did an awesome install. Can not wait to try it out.
Hope u and dad get to use it soon
Thank you for the detailed video
Great video. How about a follow-up on how it works? I am buying a Sea Hunt 234 and would like to know how well this unit moves the boat.
Was wondering how a trolling motor was installed It was a helpful overview.
No problem

It was already installed from the dealership when my parents purchased it.
Has the 4 bolt patter you used instead of 6 on the mount held up with time or have you had to modify it further? Thanks, good video.

Was a breaker used? How’d the batteries connect to trolling motor?
We did not use a breaker. We connected directly to three batteries in a series.

Mine was pre wired

How high is your bow from the waterline?
Not sure but I use a 60” trolling motor on my 246 cayman
@@GULF2BAY I have a 22ft ocean hydrasports 36" at the water line. I think a 72" should work on a choppy day.
@@diyoutdoors6675 yes it will. The 72” works great on the seahunt
@@diyoutdoors6675 Rhodan has a formula on their site under FAQ that they recommend. Would work for MK I would think.
