Thank you for the update review. We're currently trying to decide on a trolling motor for our 23 foot Parker with outboard engine. I agree that 3+ years usage with virtually no problems is a good sign of a quality product. This is very valuable feedback to me. One question I have for you is what other brand did you consider before deciding on Rodan? Thanks again and God Bless You Bro! 💪🏿💪🏿
Thank you for watching! Minn Kota I feel is a good brand too. Pluses and minus to both. I did just recently have the module go out in the Rhodan and even though I am out of warranty they sent me the part free of charge no questions asked. Their service is great! I would buy another one
You can use a battery monitoring system like the Victron to show current, amps, watts, watt hours, etc, all the electrical parameters, on a dash mounted water resistant standard opening round instrument, or a larger optional display, or even better is Bluetooth it on your phone screen off an app, no reason for more screens.
It actually seems better to me but in all fairness the 23' potter hulls I have had were cabin models so you are farther up towards the bow when driving and not an apples to apples comparison. 85' shouldn't be a Tracker though that should be a CSY and they were built extremely well! I had a 85' 18' SF and that was a great boat!
@@poseidonoutdoors thanks man! The one I am looking at is actually a Septer, but I got a center console cap I been holiding on to. Sounds like I should pull the trigger on it!
@@diyoutdoors6675 The longer shaft is nice on the rougher days. All depends on what kind of conditions you want to fish in. 84" might be overkill but I can hold a spot in 4' seas.

That's really cool, I will look into that! Thank you
My water line is 39" do you recommend 72 or 84 inch shaft?
I would go 84". That's about what high height was and I'm happy I have the longer shaft. It will hold me in almost 4' seas!
Yes 84"!
How do you like the ride of the Tracker hull compared to a potter built? There is an '85 for sale near me I been watching for a awhile

What is you bow height relative to the waterline?
It is a little less than 40"
@Poseidon Marine Thank for the reply. I'm at 36" debating on going for the minkota 72" or the Rodan.

@Poseidon Marine Good to know, thanks for the info!
