- In this video we're going to bring you the beauty of the Cades Cove loop in the Smoky Mountains. We went in the fall when the drive is even more beautiful than usual. We also stopped at the old farm with the grist mill, barns, and even caught a beautiful moment where a staff member was playing a harpsichord.

Lots of wildlife early in the morning and later in the afternoon. I have had the pleasure of visiting twice. I was married on the other side of the mountain, in Wears valley on top of a mountain, in a little white chapel.

Cades Cove is where my paternal family is from. John Oliver was my Grandfather's great grandfather. Tiptons, Shields, Carters. I hope you hiked Abrahm's Falls. It's worth the climb. You can find many of my ancestors in the Methodist Church cemetery. Fact.

I first went with my Grandfather as an early teen. He showed me everything. My sister has the book printed about Cade's Cove and my heritage. Beautiful, isn't it?
The settlers and Native Americans bartered and helped each other build, store food, harvest, and they were a close-knit settlement. I'm proud of whence I came.
Thank you again for the ride along. Cades Cove is so beautiful, can't you just imagine living there in that settlement. It must have been a very hard life, but rewarding to wake up to that view every day. I loved the man on the dulcimer playing "Sweet Hour of Prayer" lovely even with his missed note.😂. So glad your channel has taken off and you have more viewers to enjoy these trips with you and Jen.👍

Those serene Mountain View’s beckon people. When I see a mountain, I feel peace, life , and God. Always have . They are His Cathedral’s .

What time of day did you visit? Early?
This was early afternoon - probably why we didn't see any black bear. After 3pm is much better if you want to see any bear.
