One could argue that Piccolo’s relationship with Pan is cleaner than his with Gohan. Piccolo kidnapped Gohan and initially saw him as a weapon against the Saiyajins & Goku. When he trained Gohan he was emotionally and physically abusive to the kid, which kinda makes Gohan’s initial adoration something like Stockholm syndrome. Yes it got better, starting with the actual battle, Piccolo protecting Gohan and all. In comparison Piccolo was gentle & nurturing to Pan when she was a baby. When he trained her, he never badmouthed her or brutalized her (I don’t see Pan getting a forehead goose egg like her father did). It’s a cleaner relationship.

@@GxGNoirmakes sense. Hopefully they do the same with Goten. Goten LOVED fighting in DBZ

The fact that she can tank that means she already mastered ki as an armor, like everyone else, so it won't be long until she flies even if she thinks is hard
@@Xx1devilgod1xXend of movie she flys.
Piccolo deserved the glow up he received in this movie. I wish they did a spin-off series that focuses on what everyone is doing while Goku and Vegeta are training. Give them screen time and power ups, to keep them relevant. They don’t need to be drastic power ups, but something like Krillin wishing himself to King Kai and learning a new technique. Or Yamcha incorporating his baseball skills into his fighting.
BRING BACK LAUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd like to see a spin off where Trunks and Goten train with Broly since future Trunks was the inspiration for Broly's form. I'm sick of all the god stuff, I just want some raw berserk super saiyans.
@@maximumcockage6503 That's why Broly is my favorite Saiyan and why Super Saiyan 4 is my favorite form. It's just pure, primal Saiyan power.

It's crazy to me how Piccolo was a former villain but is low key the best dad in DBZ.
It's been decades since he was a villain, so he had plenty of time to change.
One of the best dragon ball movies and in my opinion the best one. Glad that Pan is finally being aged up looking forward to seeing what her true potential will be some day. If she keeps the same type of personality that she has in this movie she is going to outshine all the other hybrid saiyans.
"You have plenty of time."
"You have less than a year to get ready, Gohan!"
This might be my new favorite DB movie ever. Everything about it is so beautiful or maybe I'm just nostalgic to see so many throwbacks to the original Dragon Ball. Also Pan is the cutest anime character ever!
Pan's a lot different from Gohan when he was a kid, but she's making progress even though she has a long way to go.

I know it’s all about fighting if you pay very close attention to the series instead of fight scenes, Dragon Ball Z teaches valuable character virtues such as teamwork, loyalty, and trustworthiness.
So there’s more to the story than just fighting strong opponents.

Pan: [does not dodge]
Piccolo: "Your aptitude is better than your father's."

I like to think that Piccolo corrected himself by saying “your father” instead of Gohan because Pan would go feral at the mention of food, just like Goku. She even gives him the side eye at the mention of lunch.
Right! Cuz Gohan is " cooked rice"

Yeaaa... Gohan at age 4 is namek gohan like more than 10x stronger than saiyan saga vegeta and fought frieza, dont think pan is gonna be stronger, she is 3 tho in this movie and gohan at 3 sucked, but raditz fight at 4 years old def made him stronger

From the most feared demon king reincarnation to the greatest grandfather. Piccolo has come a long way
With her energy and love for fighting, she’ll become a super saiyan in record time.
You can tell she didnt have the Ki control down yet because she cracked the rock and damaged the tree, she is exerting excess energy when she moves. Energy attacks without the basics of Ki control would risk other unintentional damage like the others being able to stop their attacks from harming the planet.
Kid Pan: Can’t fly
Baby Pan: Wooh shiny stars…. Imma grab it

Who did the animations for Pan in this scene was spot on and made her just adorable, the voice acting was the cherry on top.
